Chapter 743: Chapter 479: He Ya, Tiger Race Ethics! (Two-in-One)
In the North, at this borderland between Lei Province and Feng Province, the Human Race and Demon Race have battled fiercely for years, with continuous friction.
On a high ridge, a cluster of mountain flowers grows, the leaves appearing gray and withered, as though dusted with lime, and when swaying, gray spots of light fall, making the rock of this place even more solid.
Beside these mountain flowers, there lies the corpse of a sand beast, shaped like flowing water, collapsed silently to one side.
Replacing it, guarding these mountain flowers, is a group of demons with even more powerful auras.
"These mountain flowers often grow in the land of Yan Province. How can there be such a cluster here?" A woman with black hair clad in black armor approached, swept her gaze across the mountain flowers, and asked with some confusion.
The woman’s sword eyebrows and starry eyes added a bit of youthful innocence to her heroic appearance.
The black armor on her body was semi-enclosed, exposing some skin, smooth and flawless.
"Mountain flowers are not exclusive to Yan Province. Lei Province and Feng Province have them too, albeit just fewer." A young man in black armor kicked the sand beast’s corpse carelessly, took two steps forward, and chuckled.
The woman glanced at the young man, frowned slightly, and said, "You didn’t bring me here just to see these mountain flowers, did you?"
"How could that be." The young man smiled brightly, gave a signal with his eyes, and a fierce bald man beside him stepped forward, casually moved a stone in these mountain flowers, revealing a crevice below.
The woman looked closely; indeed, there grew a radiant, multi-colored flower within the crevice.
Such unusually vibrant flowers almost immediately suggest they’re rare treasure materials.
"It’s a Colorful Flower!" The woman recognized the flower and exclaimed involuntarily with some surprise.
"Well, is this flower worth bringing you here?" the young man smiled.
The woman pressed her lips, looked at this man in black armor, and said, "Gray, what’s your purpose? Just speak it out."
"No need to be so vigilant. You are the Princess; how dare I harm you?" Gray said sincerely.
"Hmph, I really don’t understand why my father released you, you lunatic!" He Ya didn’t buy it and said coldly.
"Don’t be like that, Your Highness. The Great King gave me a second life, and I shall indeed reform and serve the Tiger Race wholeheartedly. Please don’t be prejudiced against me; this Colorful Flower symbolizes my submission to you and the Great King."
Gray showed no anger, just slightly bowed his head, patiently speaking to the woman before him.
"For my father’s sake, let’s hope so..." He Ya’s frostiness slightly faded; as she extended her right hand, a surge of Thunder Light flickered, seemingly transforming into a slender Thunder Whip.
One end of the Thunder Whip swept past, wrapping around the Colorful Flower in the rock crevice, pulling it out, and grabbing it in her hand.
The Colorful Flower shimmered brightly; upon closer inspection, the vibrant petals seemed to be made of crystal.
He Ya leaned in for a better look, now able to confirm that this was indeed a Colorful Flower without a doubt, and a trace of affection showed in her eyes.
Few women could resist such breathtaking flowers.
Not to mention this treasure material would greatly aid her cultivation.
Unable to resist, she moved closer, her nose catching the scent.
An incredibly pure Natural Qi permeated, feeling more wondrous than any earthly flower fragrance.
He Ya felt a moment of joy, contemplating if she could take it back, replant, and admire it daily when suddenly she felt her body burning hot, her skin and flesh scorched as if by wildfire.
The next moment, the woman’s face turned crimson, and she spat out a mouthful of hot blood.
"What’s going on?!"
He Ya was shocked, quickly realizing the problem lay with this Colorful Flower.
Her mind raced, and she stared at the man beside her.
"Gray, what did you do after all?"
Gray wore a sinister smile, stood straight, and looked down at the woman before him.
"Your Highness, I sent you a flower, do you like it?"
"You tampered with the flower!" He Ya glared with anger, and fierce thundering flashed in her eyes.
As soon as her Demon Power began gathering, she felt the worsening heat, her flesh seeming to evaporate and melt, immediately refraining from acting rashly.
"You realize what you’ve done; my father won’t let you get away with this!" He Ya snapped harshly.
The young man appeared to hear the funniest joke under the heavens, doubled over in laughter.
"Your Highness, dear, think carefully with your little head, who released me from Infinite Purgatory, and who has the power to command me... and them to deal with you."
As Gray spoke, the surrounding burly men who came had already encircled the woman, transforming into half-demons, their Demon Power rolling, murderous intent directed at her.
"You!" He Ya’s heart sank.
They were both her fellow tribesmen and her father’s Personal Guards.
It was precisely their presence that let her drop her guard and believe Gray wouldn’t, and dared not, do anything to her.
Yet now, these Personal Guards of her father were showing murderous intent towards her.
What does this mean...
Considering Gray’s recent words, her heart turned icy.
"Impossible..." He Ya’s eyes turned beast-like, her once-fair face displaying traces of bestial ferocity.
"Truly pitiful." Gray tutted, not in a hurry, waiting for the adverse reaction on the woman’s body to deepen further.
"Blame only your strength, the Bloodline Power is rare for a millennium, making your dear father feel profoundly threatened!"
"What did you say!" He Ya panted heavily, her hands transforming into tiger claws, Thunder entwining them, electric light raging.
