Chapter 301: Chapter 200: How Is This Possible

"What a pity. This Dragon Bone was shattered. Otherwise, it could’ve been forged into Divine Soldiers!"

Fang Yue sighed in regret, looking at the Dragon Bone fragments scattered across the ground.

Of course, if the Dragon Claw hadn’t been shattered from the inside out by a tyrannical force, he wouldn’t have been able to roast the Dragon Flesh so easily.

It was just a shame that something as valuable as Dragon Bone was destroyed like this, and Fang Yue couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret.

"Hm?"

Suddenly, Fang Yue frowned. He sensed danger.

"ROAR..."

Accompanied by a tremendous roar, Fang Yue heard a disturbance in the woods. It sounded like a ferocious Demon Beast charging right for him. He instantly dashed out of the cave into an open area.

"ROAR, ROAR, ROAR..."

Then, a series of roars echoed from the forest as a mass of shadows descended upon the area.

’A pack of Demon Wolves?’

Fang Yue recognized them at a glance. The shadows were powerfully built gray wolves with sharp eyes and agile forms.

They all charged out in a dense, terrifying mass, like a surging tide.

’However, these Demon Wolves seem to be fleeing for their lives. They’re bypassing me without any intention to attack.’

Fang Yue was rather surprised.

He wondered what terrifying thing they had encountered to make them flee in such a panic.

’Could it be a stronger Demon Beast? Or is it the people who were after the Dragon Flesh?’ At this thought, Fang Yue immediately turned to leave.

After all, even though his strength had greatly increased, this was still the Rebel Army’s territory. There were countless experts among them, and if he got tangled up, escape would be difficult.

"SCREECH..."

Just then, however, a piercing cry cut through the sky as a snow-white bird about two meters in length flew over the forest.

Its body was covered in white downy feathers. A single flap of its wings whipped up a gust of wind that battered the surrounding trees.

Its talons were as sharp as steel hooks. It latched onto a thick tree branch and used the rebound to launch itself back into the air.

It was as fast as lightning, covering a great distance in an instant.

’My position has been exposed. Just as I thought, someone is coming for me!’

A glint flashed in Fang Yue’s eyes.

With a single thought, he leaped into the air and vanished deep into the jungle in the blink of an eye.

His speed was incredible, allowing him to traverse the difficult terrain as if it were flat ground. After a few bounds, he had left the area completely.

But the falcon in the sky was still circling above, tracking his every move.

He looked up at the bird and narrowed his eyes. ’That must be a trained falcon, used specifically for tracking.’

This type of falcon was incredibly fast and exceptionally sensitive to scents.

The rich aroma from the Dragon Flesh he had just roasted must have led it right to him.

It was obvious he was being targeted. And his pursuers were closing in fast.

「Back at the cave」

"Damn it! It’s been picked clean! After him! We have to catch that man! How dare he eat my Dragon Flesh! He’s courting death!"

In front of the cave, Wu Yong was beside himself with fury, his eyes nearly splitting with rage.

Dragon Flesh was precious. If that expert hadn’t suddenly appeared in the sky to battle Prince Wucheng and shattered the dragon’s corpse, people like them would never have had a chance to eat it.

Missing out on this opportunity was a tremendous loss for him.

He had already paid a considerable price to stop others from competing with him for this Dragon Claw. Now that the Dragon Flesh was gone, how could he not be enraged?

Still, he suppressed his seething resentment and immediately led his men in swift pursuit, following the direction Fang Yue had fled.

’Since this man dared to eat my prize, he has to die!’

’I don’t care who he is or how powerful his background is. He must die.’

Following the falcon in the sky, Wu Yong and his men sped off in the direction Fang Yue had taken.

「And at the same time,」

Fang Yue had already emerged from the mountain forest and reached the bank of a river. Before him stretched a vast expanse of water, as wide as the sea.

At this moment, a fierce wind howled over the immense river, churning up monstrous waves that reached for the sky.

Vague shapes of colossal creatures could be seen rising and falling in the water, stirring up terrifying swells that would make any onlooker’s heart pound with fear.

Huge fish swam to and fro in the river’s current.

This was a great river.

The current was incredibly turbulent, with the water surging violently.

With nowhere left to hide, Fang Yue simply stopped.

’I didn’t expect to run into a dead end here.’

It was obviously too late to turn back and find another path.

He could already sense the approaching footsteps of his pursuers, closing in on him.

’Looks like there’s no getting out of this.’

Fang Yue’s expression grew solemn, but he didn’t panic.

"SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!"

At that moment, the sound of arrows whistling through the air came from all directions, raining down on him.

"BANG! BANG! BANG!"

Fang Yue was already prepared. He snatched up a massive boulder and held it in front of him as a shield.

The arrows struck the stone, sending sparks flying, before breaking and falling into the river.

"Kill!"

Then, a squadron of black-clad soldiers on horseback, armed with bows and crossbows, charged forward.

Each soldier radiated a murderous aura.

"Hmph! Where did you crawl out from, you little thief? Tell me, was it you who ate my Dragon Flesh?!"

Just then, the leader, Wu Yong, finally arrived. When he saw the scene before him, he flew into a rage.

"Kid, you actually dared to eat my Dragon Flesh! You’ve got some nerve! Are you tired of living? Kill yourself right here, and I’ll spare your family! Otherwise, I’ll make your whole family join you in death!"

Wu Yong gritted his teeth, his gaze turning frigid. He had discovered that the person who ate the Dragon Claw was merely a Qi Sensing Martial Master.
