The two made small talk, growing more familiar with each other.

Yang Hao, on the other hand, was left on the sidelines, unable to get a word in edgewise.

As the banquet wore on, Li Mengyao eventually ushered Yang Hao and Chen Kang out with a few polite platitudes. Soon, only she and Fang Yue remained in the private room.

Fang Yue nodded.

Li Mengyao said, "That Young Master Yang from earlier relies on his family background to loaf around all day, causing trouble and learning nothing. The other one, Chen Kang, seems refined on the surface, but in reality, he’s even more insufferable. He relies on his father’s power to oppress the scions of other clans. He’s utterly detestable."

Fang Yue’s brows furrowed slightly at her words.
