Eternity Starts From His Seed

Chapter 394 - 394: Qian Brothers Batto! (6)

Down in the Arena.

The stoic Qian Fusha stepped out from the gate and his steady gaze fell upon the pale-faced, hollow-eyed Jin Clan dog that was still grasping every second to recover his expended blood.

It really didn't look like this blood-deficient ghost was ready for another fight anytime soon.

Since having one less foundation-realm cultivator to waste his energy on wouldn't be unwelcome, Qian Fusha tried to persuade the man. "I suggest you retire early for your own good."

Jin Shamo swallowed down the last of his blood bag and bared his teeth in a sickly, bloody grin. "I know what's good for me. I don't need a pedantic man like you to tell me what to do."

"Hmm. I warned you. Don't expect me to show mercy."

A dog naturally has its reasons for being persistent, and Qian Fusha didn't bother wasting any more saliva on the dog that had already chosen its fate.

"Begin!"

The moment the round started, Qian Fusha formed a seal and his mouth spat out a viscous glob of white stuff straight at the ground!

Splat! As soon as that glob touched the floor, it burst open into a thick, sticky web that stuck to the spot like glue!

But... that was it. Nothing else special happened there.

A wasted move?

If it were, Qian Fusha would've stopped there.

But instead, he started circling around the arena, gliding closer to his prey step by step while spitting out webs all the way!

Splat! Splat! Splat!

A trail of cloudy-white silk dotted everywhere he ran, and from above, it even looked like there was a white crescent getting drawn on a blackboard...

On the other end, Jin Shamo's face became ugly and seemed to have guessed what his opponent was trying to do, but...

He wasn't a fire-attribute cultivator and was completely helpless to stop it! Well... not completely helpless.

Though he knew he was no match, Jin Shamo still took the initiative to rush up and close the gap, just enough to fire off a burst of his blood bullets!

It was a last-ditch effort—all in hopes of disrupting the other's layout!

But instead of forcing out any evasive behavior, the only response that Jin Shamo got was a burst of web globs spitting in his direction!

Then, as if fate had already woven their star-crossed destinies, the white and red met mid-air!

Shockingly, the corrosive blood actually failed to fully melt through the seemingly-fragile web ball and every single bloody orb got collected by the web like a pouch collecting marbles!

Worse still, the web globs barely lost any momentum and actually continued shooting towards its target!

The advantage was lost and Jin Shamo was forced to take hasty evasive maneuvers!

Fortunately, such a "slow" web shot didn't even get close to touching Jin Shamo's sleeves, but…

Since the gap closed, how can the predator let the prey go so easily?

Obviously, what followed was web balls one after another!

Every single web gob almost mirrored his own blood bullets and occasionally, there were even some spares to target his legs!

Jin Shamo was forced to become a clown running around to dodge cream pies, just like when he was facing the body builder earlier!

Even worse news? Once the webs landed, it stuck and the once-open escape routes behind started getting webbed up as well!

Though Jin Shamo zigzagged all around and easily cleared the gap over the sticky mess at first, the circle where he could escape was quickly shrinking!

Eventually, the gap between solid ground was too wide for his worn-out body to leap over…

His landing fell short and just one misstep on one of those web patches got his foot immediately stuck!

Schlp—Jin Shamo tried to yank his boot out, but all he managed to do was stretch that sticky web out! He wasn't strong enough to get rid of it!

The best decision was to abandon the boot on the spot or take out a sharp blade to cut through the mess...

But even if Jin Shamo wanted to do either, it was too late because another barrage of webs was already shooting his way!

However, his reaction wasn't slow at all!

Two cracked spirit swords got pulled out from his pouch and he slashed towards the web balls!

"Cut for me!!!"

The battlecry boosted his confidence. Alas… screaming didn't exactly help in boosting his strength.

The force coming from the web balls was beyond Jin Shamo's imagination! The two broken swords got knocked out from his hands and got glued to the wall behind!

His arms followed in their footsteps right after and got pinned to the wall!

Then, a shot a web sealed his face like a face hugger. Game over. An early-stage foundation realm master solved, just like that.

Facing the prey he herded and trapped like a fly on a spider's web, Qian Fusha finally took a long, steady breath to smooth out his restless Qi.

Yet aside from that, he didn't even look out of breath at all.

Instead, it should be his prey that should run out of breath soon.

Qian Fusha listened to the prey's muffled screams and coldly stared at the prey's weakening struggle inside his web cocoon.

"Hmm. One less fly to bother the nest."

Sure, the fly's still alive, but he's as good as dead.

During the Sacred Torch Ritual, there is only two ways for the torch to get passed on.

One: the torch bearer dies.

Two: when the torch bearer voluntarily chooses to and voices his choice. Nobody else can take the torch from him otherwise.

Unless the clan behind forfeits the entire game, no one else could interfere with the choice of the combatants in this sacred death battle ritual.

Now that both the poor prey's mouth and hands got sealed off, his fate was sealed unless the Jin Clan was willing to intervene.

But will the Jin Clan give up the whole game for a lapdog? Obviously, not.

Therefore, the man's life was now completely grasped in his palms.

But Qian Fusha was not in a hurry to end the prey's life.

"Let's borrow the time that his final struggle will buy me to recover and…"

His spiritual sense mapped out the arena. Time to finish setting up his domain.

Back in Private Box 17.

Qian Bage was practically grinning from ear to ear and his chest was puffed with pride.

"See? See! What did I tell you, brother? Like I said, Lao Er will mop the floor with these bloodsuckers, ou! Is he amazing or what?"

"...Yeah. Really amazing."

Watching the web-spitting man going around to add anchors all over the floor and even the walls, Bubai sucked in a cold breath.

Though there's some minor differences…

Holy Merlin, is this the cultivation world's rip-off version of the amazing spiderman?!

Ahem! Scratch that! Any resemblance to copyrighted characters must be purely coincidental!

Anyways, there's no spidey-spandex here, and the web shooting came from the mouth instead of hands...

Then again, that white stuff—ahem—that webbing does look just as terrifyingly sticky and tough.

If even a foundation realm master struggled to break free from it, then any mortals caught in it will be like a housefly caught on a real spider's webs.

Quite overpowered, assuming there's no weaknesses.

The myriad gears in Bubai's mind turned and in his Batbai memory database, various possible contingency plans were already getting archived.

Could fire burn it? Can sword Qi cut through it? What about lightning?

Which poisons in his stock can dissolve the biological web? Something stronger than Corpse Dissolving Liquid?

What's the cooldown in-between every shot? Can he collect the webs into storage faster than they get produced?

Perhaps there's no need for all those fancy tricks? Maybe his brute strength should be enough to tear through that webbing?

But if even if could… just the thought of getting covered in that sticky, white gunk made Bubai's skin crawl.

Ugh. Gross.

Perhaps his disgust slipped through the cracks of his mask because his neighbor seemed to notice it.

"Ouu? What's wrong, Brother Bai? Why are you making that strange face?"

Bubai wiped the thoughts from his face and sheepishly laughed it off.

"Haha… it's nothing. It's just… you know… when I imagined a spider Gu cultivator, I really didn't expect to see… well… this."

"This…" Qian Bage blinked once. Then twice. His face suddenly turned strange and he gave Bubai that peculiar smirk that all men of culture understood.

"Ou! Ouuu! I see, I see! I didn't expect Brother Bai have such exotic tastes! Ou~ now that brother mentioned it…"

The shorty leaned in and slung an arm over his comrade's shoulder.

"Ou, I do remember hearing that the traveling commerce city that stops by our continent every few years does have quite some exotic species."

"And even an actual spider demoness queen was featured in an auction there in the past. Her long legs was enough to make many cultivators experience sleepless nights, ou~"

Bubai's eyes twitched. He swears, that was just an excuse! He wasn't really interested in any spider queen! Really!

But traveling commerce city? Now that did sound quite interesting.

Definitely a place he would go shop at… assuming he ever make it out of this sect alive.

Alas, Bubai still isn't sure what fate has in store for him and whether he'll live through it all, but he knew one thing: that prey trapped in the web cocoon definitely won't live through today.

It's just that… that random side character got handed the bento much sooner than they all expected!

All of a sudden, blood seeped out from the stilled cocoon and the announcement for the round came down like a gong: "Taking the torch next—Jin Clan's Jin Baihu!"

That notice barely finished when somebody already stepped out from the gate.

It was a rather stocky, bare-chested man who looked like a junky that did too much steroids.

Jin Baihu – mid-stage foundation realm!

"Ahhh… finally." Jin Baihu cracked his fists and grinned. "I've been waiting so long for my turn. My blood's already boiling. "

Another bloody battle was about to break out.
