Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Digging Your Own Grave

"Who’s scared?!" Zhao Qian bit out through clenched teeth, forcing a scornful expression. "If you want a fight, then let’s fight. You think I’m afraid of an F-level?"

"Then stop wasting time." Yun Sheng turned and walked out of the tent. "It’s too cramped in here to fight properly. We’ll do it outside."

Zhao Qian stared at Yun Sheng’s back, grinding her teeth so hard they could have shattered. But she was in too deep to back out now, so she could only bite the bullet and follow.

The remaining students looked at one another, then swarmed out after them.

Cheng Nian rushed out after them, with Li Wen close behind.

Seeing the worried look on Cheng Nian’s face, she offered a word of comfort. "Have faith in Yun Sheng. She can do this!"

Cheng Nian nodded firmly. "Yeah. I’m going to go cheer for her!"

Outside the tent, a circle of people quickly formed on the training grounds.

It wasn’t just the students from their tent; people from several nearby tents had also heard the commotion and came over to watch.

Zhao Qian stood in the center of the training grounds. As she watched Yun Sheng’s calm, unhurried demeanor, the unease in her heart grew heavier.

’I’m a C-level Guide, and I’m about to break through to B-level. If I actually lose to this F-level, Yun Sheng, how could I ever show my face again?!’

But she had already run her mouth, and with so many people watching, she couldn’t back down.

She took a deep breath, assumed a fighting stance, and fixed her gaze on Yun Sheng.

Yun Sheng stood there expressionlessly, her hands hanging at her sides. The look she gave Zhao Qian was exceptionally cold.

The next second, Zhao Qian made the first move.

She drew the knife at her side and lunged at Yun Sheng.

Yun Sheng sidestepped the attack, her movements casual and effortless.

Zhao Qian’s expression changed. She condensed her spiritual power into throwing knives that flew at Yun Sheng from multiple directions.

Yun Sheng’s figure weaved between the knives, dodging left and right with nimble footwork. Not a single attack touched her.

The students, who had been pointing and chattering just moments before, now stared with wide, astonished eyes.

"Isn’t she an F-level?"

"This is just ridiculous..."

"Zhao Qian is a C-level, right? How can she not even touch a corner of that useless F-level’s clothes?"

"Yeah, how can someone so useless be this strong!"

Zhao Qian had already exhausted most of her spiritual power and stamina, yet Yun Sheng hadn’t even had to lift a finger.

She panted, staring at Yun Sheng, her eyes filled with a mixture of resentment and dread.

Yun Sheng stopped and looked at her, her voice level. "Is that all?"

Zhao Qian glared at her, her eyes venomous. Then, with a sharp grit of her teeth, a flash of light erupted around her.

A snow-white Shadow Fox materialized behind her, its eerie green eyes locked on Yun Sheng.

Zhao Qian knew Yun Sheng didn’t have a spiritual body, so she decided to go all out. She sent the Shadow Fox pouncing at Yun Sheng from the front while she herself attacked from the side.

A cold glint flashed in Yun Sheng’s eyes.

She raised a hand, and an invisible spiritual power barrier materialized before her. The Shadow Fox slammed into it and was thrown backward, letting out a piercing shriek.

At the same time, she sidestepped Zhao Qian’s sneak attack and countered with a sharp slap to her wrist.

Zhao Qian cried out in pain, and her knife went flying.

Yun Sheng gave her no time to recover. She condensed her spiritual power into thin needles that pierced Zhao Qian’s wrists, knees, and shoulder sockets, precisely locking every one of her joints.

Zhao Qian’s body suddenly went rigid. Her legs gave out, and she nearly collapsed to her knees.

Yun Sheng withdrew her hand and looked down at her with disdain.

"You lost," she said, walking over to Cheng Nian’s side. "Now get on your knees and apologize."

The surrounding crowd fell instantly silent. All eyes were on Zhao Qian.

Zhao Qian’s face went from pale to red, then back to pale again. Her lips trembled, but she couldn’t utter a single word.

She looked at the crowd of people around her. If she really knelt and apologized now, she would lose every last shred of her dignity.

Cheng Nian stood beside Yun Sheng, her eyes red-rimmed, but she held her back straight.

She knew Yun Sheng had deliberately come to her side to make Zhao Qian kneel and apologize directly to her.

Zhao Qian glared at them, the venom in her eyes practically overflowing.

"You want me to kneel and apologize? In your dreams!"

She bit the tip of her tongue, gathering all her remaining spiritual power and forming it into a sharp spike that shot straight toward the center of Cheng Nian’s forehead.

’If I can’t deal with Yun Sheng, can’t I at least deal with Cheng Nian?’

’I’ll completely destroy Cheng Nian and show everyone what happens when you stick up for Yun Sheng!’

A vicious glint flashed in Yun Sheng’s eyes.

Her spiritual power instantly gathered, forming an invisible dagger that, despite being unleashed second, struck first, plunging straight into Zhao Qian’s spiritual landscape.

The blade sank into her spiritual landscape without resistance, churning everything within into dust.

A blood-curdling scream rang out.

Zhao Qian’s vision went black. As if completely drained of strength, she collapsed, hitting the ground with a dull THUD.

At the same time, the spike she had fired vanished into thin air, and her spiritual body, the Shadow Fox, let out a despairing cry.

Its form twisted violently before dissolving into countless specks of light that vanished into the air.

Everyone stared blankly at Zhao Qian on the ground, at the dissipating spiritual body, and at Yun Sheng’s expressionless face.

No one spoke. No one dared to.

Yun Sheng slowly lowered her hand, her expression serene, as if nothing at all had happened.

Cheng Nian stood beside her, her mouth hanging open in shock.

Li Wen glanced at the unconscious, crumpled form of Zhao Qian on the ground, her own eyes filled with astonishment.

"Zhao Qian! Zhao Qian, wake up!"

A few students friendly with Zhao Qian rushed forward and knelt beside her, slapping her cheeks and shaking her shoulders.

When Zhao Qian wouldn’t wake up, one of the girls snapped her head up and glared at Yun Sheng.

"Yun Sheng! You... How could you be so vicious!"

Yun Sheng stood her ground, watching them with an impassive expression.

"We’ve already gone to get the instructors!" another student shrieked, pointing into the distance. "You just wait! This isn’t over!"

As soon as the words left her mouth, several figures could be seen striding quickly toward them from a distance.

Zhao Heng was in the lead, followed by Shen Tang and a middle-aged man Yun Sheng didn’t recognize.

Seeing them, Zhao Qian’s friends immediately rushed to meet them, their voices choked with sobs.

"Captain Zhao, Instructor Shen, Yun Sheng... she... she dealt a fatal blow to Zhao Qian! Zhao Qian passed out, and her spiritual body dissipated..."

Shen Tang’s brows furrowed, and she hurried to Zhao Qian’s side, kneeling down.

She reached out to check Zhao Qian’s breathing, then used her spiritual power to briefly scan her spiritual landscape. Her expression instantly darkened.

"Her spiritual landscape has been severely damaged..." Her voice was low, but loud enough for those nearby to hear clearly. "She needs immediate treatment, or else... a recovery will be difficult."

Zhao Heng’s expression shifted, and he instinctively glanced at the middle-aged man beside him.

The middle-aged man’s brows were knitted tightly, his gaze fixed on the unconscious Zhao Qian. He pursed his lips, saying nothing.

Just then, a doctor hurried over.

Zhao Heng immediately had him examine Zhao Qian.

A moment later, the doctor stood up, his expression grave as he looked at Zhao Heng and the others.

"This student’s spiritual landscape... has been severely destroyed. I’m afraid... I’m afraid she may never be able to use her spiritual power normally again."

The training grounds instantly erupted in an uproar.

"What?!"

"Zhao Qian is crippled?!"

"That useless Yun Sheng actually crippled Zhao Qian?"

Whispers rose and fell throughout the crowd. All eyes were on Yun Sheng, filled with a complex mix of horror, fear, and schadenfreude.

Zhao Qian’s friend cried even harder, pointing at Yun Sheng, her voice shrill.

"Captain Zhao, Instructor Shen, Yun Sheng is vicious and ruthless! She crippled a fellow student! We ask that you punish her severely!"
