Chapter 484: The Dragon Clan Joins the Alliance
Inside the crater, the Shadow Dragon’s massive body twitched slightly, its scarlet dragon blood staining the charred black soil.
Aiden looked down at it with a calm expression and waved one hand gently.
Clink clank-
The spatial chains binding the Shadow Dragon clinked sharply. They loosened a little but still held it firmly trapped.
"This traitor belongs to your Dragon Clan. You decide its fate."
Aiden’s voice was calm yet carried unshakable power.
This was the Dragon Clan’s internal affair. As a deity of the Great Shaw Empire, he gave Faye, the Dragon Clan Queen, full respect and authority.
Faye stared hard at the Shadow Dragon in the crater. Her golden dragon eyes flickered with hesitation, which finally faded into complete coldness.
Roar!!!
She did not draw a blade. Instead, she slowly raised her right hand, and a brilliant mass of original Dragon God power gathered in her palm.
"In the name of the Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon, I strip you of your dragon bones and seal your dragon crystal."
Faye’s voice was as cold as ice, echoing across the broken void.
Golden light split into countless intricate Dragon Clan runes that burrowed into the Shadow Dragon’s huge body like inescapable curses.
Ahh!!!
The Shadow Dragon let out a piercing scream. Its shadow dragon power drained away like a tide, and its giant form shrank rapidly.
In just a moment, it devolved into a scrawny lesser dragon with no trace of power, collapsing limply in the muck.
"Banish it to the frozen far reaches of the Abyss. It shall never return to our ancestral land."
Faye waved her sleeve. Several surviving Dragon Clan warriors stepped forward with teary eyes and dragged the broken Shadow Dragon away like a worthless cur.
Wind carrying thick bloodstains howled above the shattered ancestral grounds of the Dragon Clan.
Staring at the broken ruins all around, and the wounded elite Dragon Clan fighters who had lost half their numbers, Faye’s tough outer shell crumbled away.
Many Dragon Clan elders had blown up their inner spirits during the earlier fight, just to buy a slim chance of survival for their people.
Once a glorious race of Abyss Emperor rank, they were now left with nothing but bleak desolation.
Faye turned to face Aiden, who stood floating in the void.
For the first time, she dropped her proud, commanding mask as Dragon Clan Queen. She bit her lip and spoke in a faint, buzzing whisper.
"Thank you for coming, Aiden.
If you hadn’t shown up, the Dragon Clan would have been wiped out today."
Aiden stepped down from the void and stood beside her, calm depth filling his dual pupils.
"I still owe the Dragon Clan a debt. This counts as part of repayment."
His casual tone carried unshakable certainty, easing Faye’s heavy heart completely.
Faye took a deep breath and regained a solemn, serious expression. She looked out over the surviving Dragon Clan warriors.
"Starting today, the Abyss Dragon Clan officially joins the alliance led by Celestial Imperial City!"
Her voice rolled with dragon might, spreading across the entire battlefield.
"For all generations, we stand with Aiden through every retreat and march forward alongside the Great Shaw Empire!"
The remaining Dragon Clan warriors dropped to one knee. Flames of vengeance burned in their eyes as they roared in unison.
This was no forced surrender. They fully submitted to Aiden’s strength and sincerely acknowledged his kindness.
"Aiden, there is something you need to know."
Faye stepped closer and murmured beside his ear.
"The Heavenly Demon vanguards tracked our ancestral land so accurately because of the Dawn Society.
The Dawn Society holds a complete map of the Abyss."
Aiden frowned slightly. "A full map of the Abyss?"
"Yes. It marks every secret realm, forbidden zone, and even the heritage grounds left by ancient gods."
Faye’s expression turned extremely grave. "This map was left over from the Age of Great Destruction."
"The Dawn Society knows far more about the Abyss than any force on Earth-even more than us native Abyss races."
A relic from the Age of Great Destruction!
A cold glint flashed in Aiden’s eyes. The Dawn Society’s intelligence network was far more terrifying than anyone had guessed.
Half a day later.
Aiden, Cheryl, Faye and their group stepped onto the teleportation array bound for Celestial Imperial City.
As the teleport light flared up, Aiden glanced back one last time at the Abyss hidden within endless darkness.
The seals holding back the Seven Demon Gods only had three to six months of stability left.
The ancient gate tied to the Lord of the Primordial, leading to the higher universe, still stood quietly deep within Earth’s core.
And the mysterious leader of the Dawn Society had yet to show their face.
This grand game, where heaven and earth formed the board and countless races served as pieces, kept growing bigger.
Before he knew it, he had been pushed to the very front lines, the only hope holding the pieces against the Abyss.
Aiden pulled his gaze away, watching the flowing silver light inside the teleport tunnel. A cold, faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
He whispered silently to the empty sky in his heart:
"Yves, you never left me answers. All you left were questions."
"But..."
"I will break this hopeless dead end with my own hands."
The spatial ripples faded completely, and all their figures vanished from the teleport array in an instant.
Celestial Imperial City.
When Aiden stepped out of the teleportation array, he spotted a small figure waiting for a long time at the entrance of the City Lord’s Mansion.
It was Kelsey.
Now that the vengeful Miko energy had faded away, her face no longer looked sickly as before. Her cheeks glowed pink, and her big eyes shone brightly.
"Aiden!"
Spotting Aiden, Kelsey ran over quickly and grabbed the hem of his robe, her small face full of urgency.
"What’s wrong, Kelsey?"
Aiden stroked her head, confused.
Kelsey glanced around warily, then leaned close to Aiden’s ear and lowered her voice mysteriously.
"Aiden, that gate... it appeared again last night."
Aiden’s hand paused mid-stroke, and his pupils shrank sharply.
"And... I stepped inside for a moment this time."
Kelsey’s voice trembled a little, yet excitement lingered stronger. "There was an extremely ancient voice speaking behind the gate."
"What did it say?"
Aiden’s tone turned heavy, and the Law of Space within him even stirred in response.
Kelsey looked up at him with sparkling eyes and spoke slowly, word by word.
"It said: ’Wait a little longer. That one will arrive soon.’"
"Aiden, I couldn’t make out its form, but I have a hunch..."
"The one it’s talking about... is you."
Inside the secret chamber of the City Lord’s Mansion, the air turned deathly still.
Aiden brushed Kelsey’s long hair gently, deep icy glimmers flickering in his dual pupils.
"It said... that one is me?"
Aiden spoke softly, yet his voice carried pressure that made the void hum in response.
He did not doubt Kelsey’s intuition.
With her Ethereal Physique and her bond to the supreme Miko’s Wraithshard, Kelsey’s senses in certain mysterious dimensions even surpassed his own as a newly ascended god.
"Lord of the Primordial..."
Aiden whispered to himself, massive waves of emotion surging deep within his dual pupils.
He was already a Lesser God with thirty-five percent comprehension of the Law of Space.
Even so, he could not actively locate the ancient gate deep within Earth’s core on his own.
Yet the Lord of the Primordial had bypassed him entirely and chosen to reach out to powerless Kelsey instead.
This proved the key to communicating with the golden gate was never raw power.
It was some indescribable unique trait.
"If it wishes to see me, I will go to it."
Resolve flashed across Aiden’s eyes as he turned to Kelsey.
"Kelsey, can you connect with that gate once more right now?"
Kelsey bit her lip and nodded firmly. "I can, Aiden. If I close my eyes, I can faintly see that golden light."
"Very well."
Aiden stood tall, and invisible spatial ripples burst outward like a tide.
"Rainn, Bella, stand guard for me!"
Hum!
The void trembled. Streaks of brilliant silver divine light leaked from Aiden’s body and formed countless profound runes that sealed the entire secret chamber layer by layer.
This was a spatial barrier forged by a Lesser God.
Kelsey took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and sat cross-legged on the ground.
Aiden stood behind her and formed hand seals. The vast power of the Law of Space twisted into a silver thread that slowly seeped into Kelsey’s forehead.
"In my name, anchor space!"
Aiden shouted quietly.
He had to use his god-tier Law of Space to firmly lock Kelsey’s soul position.
Beyond the golden gate lay unknown emptiness. If Kelsey’s consciousness got lost there, even a god might fail to bring her back.
Boom!
Kelsey’s small body trembled slightly.
Inside her mind, the towering ancient golden gate rose once more.
This time, protected by Aiden’s god-tier space power, the sealing lines on the gate looked far gentler.
Creak-
The heavy gate slowly creaked open a crack.
Without hesitation, Kelsey stepped across the threshold.
The darkness in front of her shattered completely in an instant.
Stretching out before her was an endless sea of stars beyond description.
Countless stars were born and faded in the void, and each falling star marked the end of an era.
At the very center of the star sea floated a dazzling ball of light too bright to look at directly.
A vague, towering figure loomed faintly within the glow.
