Chapter 487: A Dead End Sanctioned by the Seven Pillars

"Egretta’s plan is to detonate the Seven Pillars and forcefully tear open the barrier of space."

Aiden stood with his hands behind his back. Endless stars were reflected in his double pupils, and his expression was calm and indifferent.

"That is the choice of a coward. It is a reckless gamble, using the entire future of Earth to bet on an uncertain passage."

"My path is different."

"It is understanding."

"It is conquest."

"I will make them cooperate whether they want to or not."

Domineering!

Absolutely unmatched dominance!

This was the confidence Aiden now had after stepping into the divine realm, backed by his 10,000x Critical Hit System!

"After my understanding of the Laws broke through 35%, the growth of Strength was no longer just a matter of numbers."

Aiden raised his right hand. In the air, a trace of black-gold Primordial Law power danced at his fingertip.

"It is about touching and understanding the true nature of every kind of Primordial Strength."

His voice was calm, but every word carried weight.

"Sealing it is only a temporary fix. Detonating it is self-destruction. Only understanding and coexistence can lead to survival."

Inside the secret chamber, the violent waves of Law power slowly calmed down.

Bella looked at the young god before her, and a complicated look flashed in her eyes.

"This path is a hundred times harder than Egretta’s violent plan. Maybe even a thousand times harder."

"If you fail, you will be doomed beyond recovery."

Aiden did not deny it. He only smiled faintly.

"I know."

"But this is also the only path that does not require billions of lives to be used as a gamble."

"Since I have become the strongest force in this world, then I should be the one to flip over the chessboard."

He turned around, his expression calm again, and looked at Zoey.

"Zoey, get ready."

"Next, I need to meet the Pillar of Envy in person."

The moment she heard those words, Zoey’s usually mechanical expression changed. Her face turned deathly pale.

The blue data streams in her eyes instantly became chaotic, and a sharp alarm even sounded from within her body.

"My Lord... you want to meet Envy?"

Zoey’s voice was trembling. It was fear that came from the depths of her soul.

"Envy is the hardest to communicate with among the Seven Pillars. It is also the strangest."

"Its true nature is the complete denial of another being’s existence."

"Anyone who tries to contact it must erase, on the level of consciousness, every thought of ’I am better than others’ or ’others are beneath me.’"

"As long as even the smallest trace of pride, satisfaction, or even the desire to become stronger appears in your heart, it will be magnified without limit."

"Then, you will be completely assimilated by the Law of Envy and become part of it."

Zoey stared hard at Aiden and warned him, word by word,

"No one can escape this judgment of consciousness."

"Not even you, my divine City Lord."

"Since I’ve already decided, then we’ll go."

Aiden’s voice broke the dead silence in the secret chamber. It was calm, but carried a determination that allowed no doubt.

"Where is the Pillar of Envy sealed?"

He turned his head. The divine light in his double pupils faded as he looked at everyone present.

Faye stepped forward. A trace of seriousness and fear flashed in her golden dragon eyes.

"It is in the middle layer of the Abyss. You have to pass the ancestral land of my Dragon Clan and enter the absolute forbidden zone known as the Mirror Abyss."

"Mirror Abyss?"

Aiden raised an eyebrow slightly.

"It is the most dangerous area in the middle layer of the Abyss. There is no solid ground there-only endless reflections."

Faye took a deep breath. Her voice trembled a little.

"Anyone who steps into the Mirror Abyss will see countless ’more perfect’ versions of themselves. Those reflections will endlessly magnify the desire for Strength, power, and status hidden deep in your heart."

The data streams in Zoey’s eyes flashed wildly again, and a sharp alarm rang out.

"It is a dead end with a closed logic loop."

"The Mirror Abyss will force your mind to be filled with the belief that ’I am the strongest in the world.’"

"But the corruption of the Pillar of Envy requires you to have absolutely no sense of superiority at all, not even the slightest trace."

"When these two forces work together, it becomes an impossible soul-level trap!"

The atmosphere in the secret chamber became so heavy that it was hard to breathe. These conflicting rules were basically forcing anyone who entered toward madness.

"What an interesting trap."

But the corners of Aiden’s mouth lifted slightly. A flash of excitement appeared in his eyes, like a hunter seeing his prey.

"I’ll go alone."

"No!"

Faye suddenly raised her head, her face full of panic.

"Aiden, I am the Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon. I can go with you and help share the burden-"

"If you go, you will only become a burden to me."

Aiden cut her off. His tone was calm, but it carried the unquestionable authority of a god.

"With one more person, the desire-reflections created by the Mirror Abyss will increase many times over. The speed at which our minds are assimilated will grow at an even more terrifying rate."

Faye gritted her teeth and wanted to argue, but under Aiden’s deep gaze, she lost the will to speak. In the end, she could only clench her fists tightly.

"My Lord, if you must go, I will accompany you to the entrance."

Bella slowly stepped forward, dressed in white as pure as snow.

She formed a seal with both hands, and a pure white light, beyond the limits of ordinary gods, quietly rose from inside her body.

"This is... God-King Rank Law of Light?!"

Zoey’s electronic voice suddenly rose higher. Her mechanical face was filled with disbelief.

Bella did not explain where her Strength came from. She only looked at Aiden in silence.

"I will wait outside the entrance of the Mirror Abyss and use the Supreme God Law of Light to create an anchor for your mind."

"As long as your soul wavers even for a moment, this light will become the sign that guides you home."

Aiden looked deeply at Bella, then nodded slightly.

"Thank you."

Boom!

Aiden wasted no more words. He lightly stepped down with his right foot.

In an instant, the silver-white Law of Space and the black-gold Primordial Law surged out like a raging tide, forcefully tearing open the space inside the secret chamber.

A dark passage, filled with terrifying pressure and leading to the middle layer of the Abyss, was opened before everyone’s eyes.

Aiden stepped forward. His figure crossed endless space and arrived in the middle layer of the Abyss.

Violent demonic energy from the Abyss rushed toward him, but before it could get within a hundred yards of his divine body, it was crushed into pieces by an invisible space barrier.

"Aiden!"

A clear, anxious shout came from behind him.

Cheryl chased after him through the void passage. Her beautiful face was filled with stubbornness and worry.

She ran up to Aiden and held out her fair hand. In her palm lay a crystal that gave off a faint blue cold light.

"Take this with you."

Without waiting for him to answer, Cheryl pushed the crystal into Aiden’s hand.

"The Mirror Abyss is a hot and chaotic place. Its illusions will set your heart on fire. This is an Ice Crystal."

"If those false feelings of superiority make you restless, its bone-chilling cold can help you stay clear-headed, even if only for one brief moment."

Aiden held the ice crystal. A pure, icy chill spread from his fingertips, piercing straight into his soul.

"Wait for me to come back."

Aiden said nothing more. He put the crystal away, then turned and walked toward the dead silent land covered in endless mist and refracted light.

At the entrance of the Mirror Abyss, space rippled like water. Strange, colorful lights reflected everywhere, making it look like the open mouth of a giant beast that could swallow souls.

Bella sat cross-legged outside the entrance. The God-King Rank Law of Light turned into a thin, undying white glow and entered Aiden’s forehead from far away.

Faye stood to the side. She watched as Aiden’s lonely but towering figure disappeared into the flowing light of the Mirror Abyss. Her golden dragon eyes were filled with deep worry.

"Bella... how can you be so calm?"

Faye’s voice trembled. She could even hear her own heartbeat becoming messy and unsteady.

Bella kept her eyes closed. Her beautiful face was calm and still, like a perfect ice statue.

But under her snow-white sleeves, her delicate fingers had already dug deep into her palms, leaving a faint trace of blood.

"Because being afraid will not help."

She whispered softly. Her voice was so light that it quickly disappeared into the cold storm of the Abyss.

Aiden stepped into the Mirror Abyss.

In an instant, light and shadows twisted around him. Space became like an ancient mirror that had been shattered, reflecting endless colors.

There was no direction here. No gravity.

Only mirrors everywhere, covering every angle.

In every mirror, there was an "Aiden."

But those reflections were not the current him.

In the mirror on the left, he wore an Epic Rank robe that shone with nine-colored divine light. In his hand was a staff that seemed able to devour space itself. His level showed the terrifying number: level 100.

In the mirror on the right, lava-like Flame of Laws burned within his double pupils. The pressure of Mythic Rank seemed almost ready to break through the mirror and spill out.

Above him, below him, and in every direction around him-

Countless stronger, more perfect, and more majestic versions of Aiden looked down at him.

They wore divine Rank equipment he had never seen before and possessed the complete Laws he had always dreamed of.

"So this is the Mirror Abyss?"

Aiden stopped. His expression remained calm, and his double pupils narrowed slightly.

In the void, countless mirror versions of Aiden spoke at the same time. Their voices overlapped, like the judgment of a god.

"You who have fallen behind, why are you still standing still?"

Before the words faded, the mirrors around him began spinning wildly. They gathered into a stream of light so vast it seemed to cover the sky.

The light exploded before Aiden’s eyes and turned into a huge golden divine palace.

"Long live our Emperor! Long live! Long may he reign!"

The overwhelming cheers surged toward him like a tsunami.

Aiden opened his eyes and found himself sitting on the supreme Nine-Dragon Divine Throne.

Below him were endless ruins and millions of soldiers kneeling on the ground.

Countless demons from the Abyss, powerful humans, Venerables from a hidden family, and even gods were all kneeling at his feet like ants, trembling in fear.

"My Lord."

A gentle voice came from beside the throne.

Aiden turned his head and saw Zoey.
