Chapter 717: Primordial Sin

As Liora urged her demonic energy and took a deep breath, the world around her began to change.

The streams of information making up the Information World suddenly broke down, transforming into dense symbols and complicated patterns that gathered toward her.

Seemingly of their own volition, they entered Liora’s mouth.

Crunch! Crunch!

A chewing sound soon echoed, and they disappeared.

As a result, the space where these streams of information had come from grew empty.

It was not that the space had been broken. Rather, the area had turned into pure nothingness.

No spatial power existed, much less any spatial layers.

Liora had little time to notice.

As she "ate" the streams of information, countless pieces of knowledge flooded her mind.

Each piece seemed to carry the wisdom of humans.

When they were all added together, these pieces seemed to have turned into a collection of Awakeners’ stories.

It not only followed their journeys from the moment they became Awakeners, but also integrated the paths they had walked and their insights during that time.

As Liora processed this information, everything about them was "copied" over.

Within the Cosmic Sea, lights began to light up one after another.

There were thousands of them, with even more following up on them.

Seeing this, Liora split off part of her consciousness and let it slowly sort through that information.

Then, her focus shifted back to reality. Or rather, to the space of nothingness before her.

It was not too large. A small circular area of a couple of meters.

Yet such a small area had let her condense thousands of Law Stars.

"Sure enough, coming here was worth the risk. It is no wonder my body has been screaming at me to take a bite out of the Information World since I first stepped into this place."

"A small area of a couple of meters has given me so many benefits. If I devoured the entire city, galaxy, or even the entire world, how many Law Stars would I be able to condense?"

One had to know that the Information World spanned the entire Human Federation, its tentacles spreading into the territories of the other Apex Civilizations as well.

Its size could be imagined. It was barely smaller than the Cosmic Universe itself.

The planet Liora was currently on occupied only a tiny percentage of it, so small that it didn’t even matter.

The more Liora thought about the Information World’s size, the more excited she became.

At the same time, though, she faced a problem.

The Information World was indeed too vast. The knowledge contained within it could indeed help her massively.

Exactly because of that, however, devouring it was difficult and troublesome.

It would take her many years to swallow it completely.

Under normal circumstances, spending this much time to light up what was estimated to be trillions of Law Stars was absolutely worth it.

But at the moment, Liora knew she couldn’t afford to do so.

She didn’t know when the confrontation in the Cosmic Universe’s core would come to an end.

More importantly, she didn’t know if the "Human Emperor" would give up controlling the universe when he learned about her coming here and rush back to stop her.

In simple terms, Liora lacked the time to slowly devour the Information World.

Thankfully, she had come here prepared. After all, this place had been her target from the very beginning.

"It’s time to put my unpracticed Techniques into use..." she whispered.

The next moment, countless techniques emerged in her mind.

They were techniques she had comprehended by peering into the future through "Alpha’s" memories, witnessing her fight with the many unknown powerhouses.

To this day, Liora had practiced only three of the techniques she had comprehended. Now, it was finally time to practice some more.

Soon, the information about one technique in particular occupied her mind.

Primordial Sin Art.

It shared the same name as the technique she had obtained in the Demon World back in the day, and was a technique she had practiced in the past.

Yet its contents were now different, clearly having been improved by her future self.

"Primordial Sin Art..."

"Based on the Seven Primordial Sins, the practitioner can form their own Sin Avatars, embodying the concept of their respective sin. Each Sin Avatar has its own functions and abilities."

"No matter their abilities, though, all Sin Avatars have extremely high power and strong potential. They are enough to let an Ancient Devil’s strength transform and can even be used by Princesses of the Demon World."

"If one had to say what their disadvantage is..."

"...it would be that they require one to absorb too much sin."

Liora estimated that absorbing the sins of all the creatures in the Cosmic Universe would be hard to bring a Sin Avatar to an acceptable level.

The amount of sin required to master this technique could only be imagined.

That was also why she had refrained from practicing this technique in the past.

Although she could use Profane Offering to absorb other materials and convert them into the required sin, she didn’t have enough of them.

Now, however, that was no longer an issue.

The resources in her hands were abundant. Or rather, the resources in the hands of the Human Emperor Clone.

Liora’s consciousness shifted to the clone. Ignoring the "Human Emperor", she stared at the World Origin swirling around her and made a decision.

Within the Information World, she calmly raised her hand.

The demonic energy in her body boiled under her control.

Profane Offering was activated.

In the core of the universe, large amounts of World Origin were "burned", sacrificed for this ability.

Meanwhile, Liora sensed an invisible energy appear around her and then pour into her body.

As it coursed through her, the contents of the Primordial Sin Art flashed through her mind.

With the assistance of her insights, the invisible energy seemed to have a goal.

It transformed into one of the seven sins, working as fuel to assist her practice of this technique.

The process was nearly instantaneous.

Before long, crimson mist flew out of Liora’s body and gathered behind her, fusing into a phantom.
