Chapter 135: Colossal Titan

Kaelen had barely reacted to the revelation when Felix suddenly shot forward as dark energy converged around his outstretched palm, before he shot his arm forward at Kaelen.

Though Kaelen had been momentarily stunned by Felix’s words, his increased perception gave him enough reaction speed to control his supreme flame ball and hurl it at the charging Felix.

As soon as the two spells came into contact, it was like an atomic bomb had been set off.

Booooooom—!!!

Every other person could barely react when a powerful shockwave swept across the entire facility like a raging storm, with more than enough firepower to create a black hole.

The surrounding hibernating pods were dug out of the ground in rows and flung in the air, when suddenly, the explosion retracted and the shockwave was sucked into the point of impact, dropping the flying pods and every other person in the facility who’d been swept off their feet.

Aria was the first to jump to her feet alongside Cici to stare at the devastation of their home. Luckily, the reverse explosion hadn’t caused as much damage as the first explosion would’ve, which would have wiped out the entire facility.

When they looked around to find the perpetrators, they realized that both Kaelen and Felix were gone without a trace.

"W-What just happened?"

"I think Kaelen did the damage control by pulling Felix inside his domain." Yelena said as she brushed her fingers against her bruised forehead.

"How do you know that?" Black Rose asked abruptly. "What’s your relationship with Kaelen?"

Yelena paused to stare at the woman for a moment.

"Are you saying it’s safe here now... except for you two?" Aria asked cautiously.

"Can’t say." Yelena replied with a serious expression.

"Kaelen is strong. If he truly pulled Governor Felix into his domain, then it’s safe to say Felix is no longer a threat."

"You’re wrong." Yelena immediately countered as she tilted her head to stare at Black Rose. "For an Empress, I thought you should know better. But your brain is as pathetic as your feeble strength."

"What’s that supposed to mean?" Black Rose asked coldly, her hand moving to the hilt of her sword.

Yelena ignored the woman as she continued. "My line of work requires me to make deep research on every single one of my targets or variables. Kaelen is strong, but Felix is way stronger both in strength, evolution realm, and most especially... race."

"What’s your point?" Black Rose asked.

Yelena simply tilted her head to stare at the Akkadian woman. "I’d advise you to get your people out of here before it’s too late. Lady Jessica probably doesn’t know this, but Felix isn’t one that can be easily trapped. His race allows him to outclass everything thrown at him, but my verdict is; you have until he transforms before y’all die."

Both Aria and Cici’s eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

"If I may ask, human. What race is that?" Cici asked with a deep frown, and everyone’s eyes fell on Yelena.

The blonde woman inhaled softly as her lips parted to speak.

"His race is..."

BOOOOOOOM—!!!

A point-blank explosion suddenly tore through the center of the room, just about the same spot where Kaelen and Felix had gone missing.

The women could barely react when their visions went blank with the same notification playing across their eyes.

[You have died.]

"W-What?!"

Kaelen was knocked several feet back and skidded across the floor till he regained his bearing and kicked himself up, his foot carving deep trenches in the hard floor.

He swept his hair back to look up at the towering figure whose head nearly touched the night sky, and whose sheer size was enough to instantly shatter one of his World Authority Fragments.

His eyes widened in shock and disbelief as he stared at the humongous humanoid figure.

"Is that... a Colossal Titan?" He blurted in sheer surprise.

Kaelen had fought one of these at the dungeon tower last floor, but this one was easily twice the size of the Divine Tier final boss, and to think it was just a player’s avatar just like his common Slime.

A thick fume escaped the Titan’s nostrils, and it looked to stare at Kaelen, whose height barely made it to its ankle.

Without warning, it heavily raised its foot, spanning several metres, before bringing it down on Kaelen.

Kaelen frowned. If that foot were to hit the ground, he wouldn’t be the only one in harm’s way. The entire facility and everything still breathing inside was going to get crushed in that single stomp.

Kaelen personally didn’t care about these people, but his mother does. Until her intentions were made clear to him, Kaelen couldn’t just let an entire civilization get wiped out.

He was still weighing the odds as the foot descended on him, when someone appeared behind him.

"Nooo."

Kaelen snapped his head to the side to see Cici charge past him, running into the middle of the strike zone and spreading her arms like she was gesturing for the Titan to stop on her command.

His brows shot up in confusion when it suddenly clicked with him. But before he could act, Aria ran after Cici, screaming.

"Cici, don’t. You’re going to get yourself killed."

Before she could run far, Kaelen suddenly grabbed her around the waist and shadow-stepped them both to a safe distance beyond the facility just before the Titan’s foot could smash everything under it. When the Titan suddenly disappeared from the spot and reappeared several miles away from the ruins, it was only visible thanks to its sheer size.

"W-What are you doing? Why did you do that?!" Aria screamed at Kaelen in rage.

"She wanted to sacrifice herself to keep your people safe. You would’ve only been a hindrance and distraction." Kaelen replied calmly as he swiped through his system panel.

"Teleporting something of that size is going to kill her. You just got her killed."

"She’s a hero then. It was either her or your entire race was going to die. Not like I expect a ten-year-old to understand that," Kaelen mumbled the last part to himself as he went over his entire skill set once more.

"You’re wrong. Their physical body would be destroyed, but they’d remain alive in Akkad. Cici doesn’t have a physical body because we were both born in Akkad."

Kaelen paused to stare at the white-haired woman for a moment as he came to the sudden realization.

’That explains it, I see. It’s been established that time relatively flows differently from in reality, which meant that the woman standing before him now wasn’t a ten-year-old like he’d thought. She might as well be much older than him like Felix.’

"Noted. But you can’t deny the fact that she bought me enough time to prepare to take down that guy, else you might be risking losing more than you bargained for—"

"W-What is it doing?" Aria suddenly interrupted him, and Kaelen followed her gaze to the hazy silhouette of the Titan several miles away getting into position, before it suddenly burst forward like a cannon, charging straight back to the ruins as its legs covered several miles in a single step.

How the hell is he that fast?

Calculating from the speed and distance, Felix was going to arrive back at that same spot in less than a few minutes.

Cici’s sacrifice had been for nothing, and most importantly, if Kaelen couldn’t come up with an effective way to kill that Titan...

Kaelen closed his eyes as he exhaled softly, clearing his mind enough to think fast and smart, and at that moment, several ideas popped into his head.

Kaelen might be too small to pose a threat to the Titan, but not only does he have an infinite source of health potions he never thought he’d need in a fight, Kaelen also had an army of ten thousand Mythic Dragon eggs.

It was time to see what had hatched from those 10,000 eggs.
