Unlike the gift, which could only be used when he was in Aurora, this title not only provided extra effectiveness but could be used anywhere in the universe.

If he were to use them together in Aurora, while without his enchanter treasure the effect wouldn't be as monstrous as before, wouldn't he still be able to boost his Undead High Drake and Undead High Dragon to Demigod for as long as he could manage?

If he included Lunara and Valeria, wouldn't he have four Demigods he could control at any time?

Even if Aurora as a whole might have more Demigods than him, surely this would make any faction think twice before crossing him, right? In fact, this might even be a universal statement.

However, this was only one benefit, and it wasn't even the best!

The second effect was even stranger.

From now onward, every time he crossed a Major Rank, the Origin Will would generate three Traits specifically for him and allow him to choose one.

Traits were the closest thing most people could have to Talents. In some cases, depending on their origin and quality, a Trait could even become more useful than a Talent.

Michael didn't believe that would necessarily be the case for him. Infinite Evolution was already absurd enough. But that didn't mean he would ever reject more Talent-like abilities.

Certainly not.

Traits could grant entirely new functions, strengthen existing paths, improve affinities, or provide passive effects that remained useful regardless of what Class someone possessed. Some of the better ones could even grow alongside their owner.

That was the part Michael cared about most.

A weak Trait obtained now might not remain weak forever. As his strength increased, some Traits could evolve, deepen, or reveal stronger effects. And if he was going to receive another choice every time he crossed a Major Rank from now onward, then his collection would only continue to grow.

More abilities.

More options.

Michael's expression gradually changed.

The Universal Will had certainly made a lot of noise when granting him this reward. Far too much noise for his liking. His name had once again been thrown across the universe, and countless people who might never have cared about him before would now know that Michael Norman had accomplished something important enough to continuously receive universal recognition.

But looking at the effects of Universal Pioneer, Michael couldn't deny one thing.

The reward was really good. Very, very good.

So good, in fact, that the thoughts he'd had only minutes ago about happily giving this achievement to someone else had quietly disappeared.

Michael exhaled slowly and closed the title panel.

As tempting as it was to just not do anything for now, one challenge remained. He had already used nine of his ten monthly ranking challenges. Once the last one was consumed, he would no longer be able to initiate another ranking battle until the next month.

There was no reason to stop now.

Michael turned his attention toward the scattered undead waiting throughout the dark battlefield and began recalling them one after another.

Meanwhile, in the Land of Origin, Arianne was looking at Michael with obvious concern.

His earlier outburst had caught her completely off guard. Michael wasn't someone who normally cursed so openly, or at all. At least not around her.

Seeing him suddenly curse had been unusual enough to worry her. Most of the time, he carried himself with a grace that made it easy to forget how young he actually was. To be honest, she believed it was mostly because he had a bit of a loner personality and was surrounded by undead all the time.

Arianne lightly touched his arm.

"Are you alright?"

Her voice finally pulled Michael's attention completely away from the title.

He looked toward her before giving a small smile.

"I'm fine."

If anything, after seeing the rewards attached to Universal Pioneer, he was considerably better than he had been a while earlier.

Arianne studied him for another moment before accepting the answer.

Michael then turned his attention elsewhere.

By now, both Michael and Arianne had already descended to the ground beside the newly created Subsidiary Territorial Anchor.

At some point while he had been distracted, a group of soldiers had gathered not far from them. He had sensed them well before they arrived and didn't consider them a threat, so they hadn't broken him out of his thoughts.

Several dozen Silver Guard soldiers stood near the edge of the enormous stone platform.

Their presence wasn't surprising. The creation of the anchor had been anything but subtle. Even the military formations they had been training with had briefly flickered because of it. If the nearby soldiers hadn't noticed something of that scale, Michael would have seriously questioned what exactly they were being trained for.

In truth, they had noticed almost immediately. The reason they hadn't rushed over sooner was simply because their commanding officer wasn't currently at the post. He had traveled into the imperial city earlier that day.

The soldiers left behind had initially maintained their distance while sending word to their commander and organizing themselves in case the phenomenon turned out to be dangerous. Only after determining that whatever had appeared wasn't immediately attacking the surrounding area had they begun approaching.

The soldiers stopped at a respectful distance.

Their attention moved repeatedly between Michael, Arianne, the enormous magic circle carved into the ground, and finally the gigantic statue towering above everything.

The last one received considerably more looks than the others.

Michael noticed, his eyes slowly moving toward the statue as well.

The stone version of himself was still gazing proudly toward the heavens with both arms spread wide.

A panel appeared before him.
