Chapter 194 -
Chapter 194: Chapter
The moment Su Long dragged Fu Sheng back into the house, the atmosphere in the courtyard became even stranger.
Everyone exchanged confused looks.
Nobody knew what was happening.
Nobody understood why Fu Sheng had suddenly become so determined to stop Fu Teng from leaving.
Even Fu Teng himself looked annoyed.
He stood outside the doorway with his arms crossed while the rest of the family slowly followed inside.
Since the argument had already reached this point, nobody was in the mood for breakfast anymore.
The large main hall quickly filled with people.
Grandfather Fu sat at the head of the room.
Grandmother Fu sat beside him.
Master Fu and Madam Fu occupied the seats below.
The younger generation sat around them.
Only Su Long remained standing beside Fu Sheng.
The entire room was silent.
Everyone was waiting.
Waiting for Fu Sheng to finally explain himself.
Fu Sheng stood quietly for several moments.
His expression was darker than anyone had ever seen before.
Finally, Grandfather Fu spoke.
"Now that we’re all inside, explain yourself."
"Why are you suddenly causing such a scene?"
The room immediately fell silent again.
Fu Sheng slowly looked toward Fu Teng.
Then he took a deep breath.
When he finally spoke, his voice was calm.
Far too calm.
"Fu Teng will marry Zhao Yue within the next few days."
The words landed like thunder.
For several seconds nobody reacted.
It was as though the entire room had frozen.
Then—
"What?!"
Master Fu nearly stood up.
Madam Fu’s eyes widened.
Grandmother Fu almost dropped her teacup.
Even Han Fuji choked on his own saliva.
Only Su Long remained completely calm.
Because she had already expected this.
Meanwhile, Zhao Yue froze in place.
Her face instantly turned red.
Bright red.
She stared at Fu Sheng as though he had suddenly lost his mind.
Fu Teng looked even worse.
His expression completely darkened.
"What did you just say?"
Fu Sheng didn’t look away.
"You heard me."
"Your wedding will be held within the next few days."
The room exploded.
"Wait!"
"Hold on!"
"What wedding?"
"Why are we suddenly talking about marriage?"
Voices immediately filled the hall.
Nobody could keep up with the conversation anymore.
Master Fu rubbed his forehead.
"Fu Sheng."
"Start from the beginning."
Fu Sheng remained stubborn.
"There is nothing to explain."
"Fu Teng and Zhao Yue are already engaged."
"Since they are engaged, they should get married."
Fu Teng let out a disbelieving laugh.
"Have you gone crazy?"
Everyone immediately looked toward him.
Fu Teng stood up.
His expression was cold.
"I said have you gone crazy?"
"Since when do you decide when I get married?"
Fu Sheng looked directly at him.
"Since you’re clearly incapable of making good decisions yourself."
The room instantly became silent again.
Fu Teng’s face darkened.
"What exactly is that supposed to mean?"
"It means exactly what I said."
Fu Sheng’s voice remained steady.
"You will marry Zhao Yue."
"And you will stop working at An Yu’s pavilion."
"Both things will happen."
Fu Teng stared at him.
Then suddenly laughed again.
This time the laughter was completely devoid of humor.
"No."
The atmosphere immediately became tense.
Fu Sheng narrowed his eyes.
"No?"
"No."
Fu Teng folded his arms.
"I won’t quit."
"And I won’t get married."
Madam Fu immediately panicked.
"Fu Teng—"
But he wasn’t finished.
His gaze remained locked on Fu Sheng.
"You’ve spent the entire morning trying to control my life."
"You refuse to explain yourself."
"You refuse to tell anyone what’s going on."
"And now you’ve suddenly decided when I should get married?"
His voice became colder.
"Who exactly gave you that authority?"
Fu Sheng clenched his jaw.
For a moment, neither brother spoke.
The tension between them became so thick that everyone else felt uncomfortable.
Madame Fu looked worried... she was used to Fu Teng and Fu Tong fighting but seeing Fu Sheng and Fu Teng argue was just unbearable.
Master Fu looked exhausted as this point.
Even Han Fuji had stopped smiling.
Only Zhao Yue sat quietly.
For the first time since entering the room, she wasn’t speaking.
Because even she could tell this wasn’t about her anymore.
This was about something elsee.. something she already knew a glimpse of.
Fu Sheng suddenly stood.
The movement startled everyone.
His eyes remained fixed on Fu Teng.
"Do you think I’m doing this for fun?"
The room became silent.
Fu Teng frowned.
For the first time that morning, genuine emotion appeared on Fu Sheng’s face.
Frustration, anger and worry.
All mixed together.
"I’ve spent my entire life cleaning up after you."
"You rush into trouble without thinking."
"You trust people too easily."
"You never stop to consider the consequences."
Fu Teng’s expression hardened.
"And?"
Fu Sheng took another step forward.
"And this time I’m stopping you before you make a mistake you’ll regret."
The room became completely silent.
Nobody dared interrupt.
Because everyone could see that Fu Sheng genuinely believed what he was saying.
Unfortunately—
Fu Teng clearly didn’t.
His expression became colder than ever.
"A mistake?"
His voice was quiet.
Dangerously quiet.
"You keep saying that."
"But you refuse to tell me what mistake I’m making."
Fu Sheng fell silent.
Immediately, everyone’s expressions changed.
Because once again—
He couldn’t answer.
The silence stretched.
One second. Two seconds. Three.
Then Fu Teng laughed bitterly.
"There."
He spread his hands.
"Exactly like before."
"You have no explanation."
Fu Sheng clenched his fists.
"I do."
"Then say it."
"I can’t."
"Then stop trying to control me."
The words struck the room like a hammer.
Fu Sheng’s expression darkened.
For several moments, neither brother moved.
Then suddenly, Fu Teng turned away.
"I’m leaving."
Madam Fu immediately stood.
"Fu Teng!"
But he didn’t stop.
"I’ve already wasted enough time this morning."
His voice remained calm.
"I’ll go to work."
"And when I come back, I hope everyone has returned to their senses."
With that, he started walking toward the door.
Behind him, Fu Tong and Fu Fei with Fu Li tried using their expression to tell him to seat his butt down but he ignored them.
