After finishing his sentence, Ye Qiu and Fang Wushang began practicing the Cultivation Technique.

What they hadn't anticipated was how quickly they were mastering the Cultivation Technique—it seemed tailor-made for them. Soon enough, they had almost completed the cultivation.

Fang Wushang sheathed his sword and, looking delightedly at Ye Qiu, said, "I hadn't expected this Cultivation Technique to be so powerful, stronger than any I've practiced before."

"Which just goes to show that a man and woman make good partners, working together without tiring," Ye Qiu responded with a teasing smile.

Fang Wushang glanced at Ye Qiu speechlessly, wiping the sweat off his cheek with a cloth.

"Do you think those Immortal Lovers are inside that statue?" Fang Wushang asked, perplexed.

Ye Qiu shook his head and said, "I doubt they are still in the statue; surely they've already left. Those statues are merely their avatars."

Hearing Ye Qiu's words, Fang Wushang nodded, "Indeed, isn't that lotus flower said to have left long ago?"

"Even if they've left, they likely left a trace of their Divine Sense here, sensing our presence, leading us into this temple with that bell."

"Alright, it's getting late. We should both rest." Fang Wushang said, looking at the house nearby.

It had really been a day full of events. Ye Qiu and Fang Wushang were exhausted and found separate rooms to rest.

In the middle of the night, Ye Qiu was awakened by the sound of claws scratching the window.

With light sleep, Ye Qiu immediately opened his eyes, released a bit of Divine Sense, and realized there was indeed something standing outside his room door.

He promptly got up and went to the door with his sword, quietly listening for sounds outside the door.

The noise outside did indeed resemble a cat scratching wood with its claws.

Ye Qiu thought for a moment and opened the door, rushing out, pointing his sword tip at the creature.

To Ye Qiu's surprise, the creature at his door was a small black cat, scraping its claws on the door, looking bewildered at his appearance, its eyes seeming to question him: What are you doing??

Ye Qiu, a bit sheepish, sheathed his longsword and curiously looked at the cat, saying, "I thought it was something else. Turns out it's you, little guy. Why are you scratching at my door in the middle of the night?"

The black cat retracted its claws, sat down, and stared intently at Ye Qiu.

"Shoo," Ye Qiu waved at the cat, saying, "Go play somewhere else, don't disturb my sleep."

Finishing his words, Ye Qiu returned to the room with the longsword and was about to close the door when he noticed the black cat at his feet. Unexpectedly, it followed him into his room.

Ye Qiu had to reopen the door, saying, "Quickly, leave. You're disturbing my sleep, you know?"

Nevertheless, the black cat didn't heed Ye Qiu but instead jumped onto his bed, licking its paws.

Ye Qiu looked at the black cat in helplessness, especially its eyes, as if they could see through one's heart.

Ye Qiu thought for a moment, choosing not to bother the cat, removed his outer garment, and lay back in bed to sleep.

When Ye Qiu closed his eyes, the black cat stopped licking its paws, gazing at Ye Qiu with shining eyes.

After a while, it quietly walked over to his pillow, glanced at Ye Qiu to ensure there was no reaction, then curled up into a black ball beside him.

The next morning, Ye Qiu awoke to find the black cat lying beside his pillow.

The black cat was belly-up, purring softly. Its shiny black coat made one want to touch it.

Ye Qiu did just that, stroking the cat's soft fur, feeling its exquisite texture—no wonder women love to wear fur.

The black cat seemed to enjoy Ye Qiu's touch, purring even louder, showing no sign of waking up.

While stroking the black cat, Ye Qiu lay thinking that he had come here to find the Jade Mountain Kunlun Mirror and the Profound Celestial Ice Sword, but instead found himself in an Immortal Realm.

Ye Qiu recalled the words of the ancient-dressed man, saying the Profound Celestial Ice Sword was located in the purest place in the Kunlun Mountain range, though he didn't know where that was.

"Where do you think the purest place is?" Ye Qiu asked the black cat.

The black cat ignored him. Ye Qiu found himself ridiculous for asking such a question to a cat, knowing it couldn't understand him.

"Regardless, I promised that man I must find these two items."

After a moment's thought, Ye Qiu carefully stepped over the cat, dressed and prepared to leave.

The black cat woke as Ye Qiu got out of bed, stretched lazily, and followed him out the room.

"Hey? Ye Qiu, how come there's a cat beside you?"

Upon hearing Fang Wushang's query, Ye Qiu looked down to find the black cat standing by his feet, blinking its yellow eyes at him.

"This black cat is beautiful, where did it come from?" Fang Wushang asked, admiringly.

Ye Qiu shook his head, "I don't know either. Last night it scratched at my door; when I went out, it followed me in and even slept on my bed."

"Really? That's strange. Where did this cat come from?" Fang Wushang squatted and stroked the cat, which neither flinched nor resisted his touch.

"I want to pay another visit to those Immortals," Ye Qiu said, looking at Fang Wushang, "I have a question I'd like to ask them."

"What question?" Fang Wushang asked, puzzled, "Do you think they'd know?"

Ye Qiu was uncertain, "I'm not sure if they know, but I should at least try. They're Immortals, with boundless wisdom, they might know."

Upon hearing Ye Qiu's words, Fang Wushang nodded, "Okay, then I'll go with you. By the way, what is your question?"

"I want to ask where the purest place is in the world, particularly on Kunlun Mountain."

"The purest place?" Fang Wushang pondered, "What does purest mean?"
