Extraordinary Demon King Soldier

Chapter 1527 - 1524: Another Goat-Headed Magical Beast

  • Next Chapter

The entire floor was spewing grid-like blue and white flames. And the massive metallic body standing in the center with its back to them, it was unbelievable that such a level of Magical Beast was left behind.

It seemed to be one of the Guardians that killed the boss yesterday, because its appearance was very similar to that boss—a terrifying goat skull shape! The hateful goat head spewed flame-like gases and swung the giant sword in its right hand, which could be called a Horse-cutting Blade, back and forth furiously.

A tiny figure in contrast to the Demon was on the opposite side - the army unit, scrambling in desperate retreat.

They had completely lost discipline now. Ye Qiu quickly did a headcount and realized that two people were already missing. If they had already escaped, that would be good—

Just as Ye Qiu thought this, one person was swept by the blade of the Horse-cutting Blade and fell to the ground, his body already slashed in multiple places. It was unclear why this situation arose, but the Demon was entrenched between the army and their only entrance, making escape impossible from there.

Ye Qiu shouted at the fallen soldier:

"What are you doing! Hurry up and escape!"

But the man quickly turned his face, lit blue by the flames, showing a clear expression of despair, and shouted back:

"No...! This room can't be left!"

"What...?"

Ye Qiu was speechless. Was the room truly one that couldn't be exited? Although this sometimes happened as a trap, it was usually a kingdom's defensive barrier or something similar, could a Magical Beast do such a thing?

"How could this happen...!"

Fang Wushang held his breath. Because with things being this way, there was no assurance in entering to rescue anyone inside. At this moment, a player on the other side of the Demon raised his sword high and roared:

"What are you all saying…! The word retreat is not in the Revolutionary Army's dictionary! Wake up and fight! Get up and battle!"

Undoubtedly, it was Kobaz's voice.

"This bastard…!"

Ye Qiu couldn't help but curse. In this inescapable space, with two people gone—it meant they were dead or vanished. The situation that should be avoided most had happened, yet this man was still saying such things. Ye Qiu's anger felt like it was about to boil over.

Finally, Kleek and his group of six caught up.

"Hey, what's going on now!"

Ye Qiu quickly explained the situation. After hearing, Kleek twisted his face and said:

"Is there really no way…"

Ye Qiu might be able to charge in and pave a bloody path for retreat, but in this space where urgent escape was impossible, Ye Qiu feared for Fang Wushang and Kleek getting hurt. If sacrifices occurred here, everyone's numbers were terribly low indeed. Just as Ye Qiu hesitated, Kobaz finally regrouped his troops on the Demon's other side and once more issued commands.

"Everyone… Charge…!"

With ten people, two were completely incapacitated. The remaining eight then lined up in two rows of four before Kobaz, stationed centrally in the unit, raised his sword and began advancing.

"Stop it…!"

But Ye Qiu's shouts were clearly out of earshot.

This attack was foolishly brave. With all eight attacking at once, it was impossible to unleash Sword Skills effectively, only increasing chaos. Compared to simultaneous attack, quick switch for each stride after dealing damage was the effective strategy.

The Demon stood like Nioh, emitting earth-shaking roars while spraying dazzling gases from its mouth. It seemed like getting hit by its breath also caused damage. Enveloped in its blue-white aura, the eight started losing speed in their assault. The Demon then took the chance and swung the giant sword. Someone among them was swept up and thrown above the Demon's head, landing heavily in front of Ye Qiu.

This person was Kobaz.

His body had already fragmented, yet still wore a look of incomprehension, slowly opening his mouth.

"How is this… possible…"

After uttering this soundless sentence, Kobaz's body was a provoking sight. Seeing someone die so easily in front of us, Fang Wushang gave a sharp, short scream.

With their leader lost, the army immediately disbanded. Amid cries, they fled in all directions. Everyone's bodies were no longer fit to continue fighting.

"No… at this rate… no…"

Hearing the barely squeezed out voice of Fang Wushang, Ye Qiu was startled, turned quickly to her. Though Ye Qiu immediately extended his hand to grasp her:

He was still a step too late.

"No————!"

Fang Wushang shouted while she dashed forth like a gale. In unison with the thin sword drawn in the air, she became a flash and charged at the Demon.

"Wushang!"

Ye Qiu cried out and, unable to resist, unsheathed his sword, chasing after her recklessly.

"No time to care anymore!"

Originally, I didn't want to use the Profound Celestial Ice Sword in such a public place!

Kleek and his team also voiced, following Ye Qiu rushing into the room.

Fang Wushang threw herself into a reckless blow, hitting the Demon's back while it was unaware. But it was almost ineffective.

The flashing demon eye, with a roar, turned around and furiously slashed down the Horse-cutting Blade. Fang Wushang dodged with a step backward but was unable to entirely evade and was toppled by the residual shock. The relentless strikes from the Great Sword were headed her way again.

"Wushang————!"

A fear like freezing the body struck hard, Ye Qiu desperately jumped between Fang Wushang and the Horse-cutting Blade. Right at the nick of time, Ye Qiu's sword slightly altered the trajectory of the Demon's attack. Following that, an unimaginable impact spread through their bodies.

The intersecting blades first sparked, then the descending giant sword struck the ground near Fang Wushang, leaving a deep crater, accompanied by an explosion.

"Hurry and escape!"

Ye Qiu shouted while preparing to block the Demon's pursuit. Each incoming swing carried deadly overwhelming might, leaving Ye Qiu with no chance to strike back.

The Demon-themed Magical Beast largely employed the Two-Handed Greatsword moves. Yet, it differed subtly from ordinary Great Sword Skills, making it difficult to predict its attack patterns.
