Extraordinary Demon King Soldier

Chapter 1576 - 1572: Qiuya's Battle

  • Next Chapter

Using a long sword, Qiuya aimed at the enemy's back, continuing to inflict damage on them.

Perhaps it's feasible, she had this thought at that moment.

The only unstable factor was the prior fire attribute magic attack, which meant at least one of them among the five was a Mage. It was also possible that all of them, clad in the same metal armor, possessed certain support magic skills, meaning they were all magic warriors. Although the fire fairy's fire magic was relatively low-level, its power was still quite formidable.

According to formation common sense, the Mage would probably be positioned on either side of the team, Qiuya thought. This meant the enemy she should defeat now was the one engaged in battle with Leilei, who seemed comparatively weak in attack. Moreover, at this distance, there wasn't time for them to chant. If those two were taken down, victory over the remaining ones could be achieved in just five minutes.

"Yaaahhh!!"

Qiuya again performed her proud two-handed upper slash. With a beautiful strike, she dealt damage to the enemy's shoulder, further reducing the already red HP slot.

"Damn it!!"

After the enemy cursed, their body was engulfed in deep crimson flames. As the effects sounded, their body ignited, turning into crystal beads scattered around, leaving behind only some red flames.

This cluster of flames was referred to as a "Small Fireball." If resurrection magic or an item was used before it disappeared, they could revive on the spot, but after a minute, they would be teleported back by their clan using teleportation magic, where they could also be revived.

Qiuya erased the defeated enemy from her mind, locked onto the next target, and charged ahead. The remaining three were still quite unaccustomed to long spears and moved extremely sluggishly in close combat. They kept attacking awkwardly and at a slow pace, but these were ineffective against Qiuya, who could foresee all their moves.

Her gaze shifted again, and Leilei seemed to have been caught by a stab. His HP had decreased somewhat, but not to a point requiring recovery magic. Originally at a massive disadvantage in an aerial battle, battling five versus two, they would win if circumstances continued like this — firmly believing in this, Qiuya raised her long sword high again.

But, in the next moment, a continuously shooting flame vortex from the ground caught Leilei.

"Uwaaahhh!!"

Leilei shrieked, coming to a halt in the air.

"Idiot, don't just stand there."

Before this words could reach the other side, Leilei's body was pierced by the dying fire fairy's long spear.

"I'm sorryyyyyy."

With this final apology, Leilei's body was enveloped in a green whirlwind. This special effect was known as "Wind of Death," appearing only at death, finally dissolving Leilei's body and leaving behind some flames like before.

Qiuya knew he would immediately revive upon dissolving, but having a comrade defeated was still an annoying matter. She bit her lip; there was no time for sentiment now. To evade the flames shooting from the ground, Qiuya desperately spun to dodge.

So the Mage was actually the one leading the charge!

If she had known this, she should have caught up and fiercely stabbed him earlier. But it was too late now to regret. The current situation was definitely unfavorable to her.

However, she still had no intention of giving up. Until the very end, even in extreme adversity, she insisted on finding that one blow capable of reversing the situation — these were Qiuya's aesthetics and beliefs cultivated over many years as a Swordsman.

Due to the support magic on the ground, the two fire fairies regrouped and lunged back over from a distance.

"Bring it on!!"

Qiuya shouted, raising the long sword high and posturing for an upper stance.

"Uwaaahhh!!"

After a long fall accompanied by Qiuya's pitiful scream, she landed in an unknown location.

The reason for the gurgling sound was because her body first contacted the ground not with her feet, but her face. Qiuya's face buried deep in the grass, remaining motionless like this for several seconds before slowly toppling backward.

This free-fall state finally ended, bringing a sense of comfort, so she lay on the ground, looking around.

It was nighttime now. The location was a deep forest.

Here, massive trees several hundred years old stood straight around Qiuya, stretching branches wide. Through the treetops, a black sky speckled with stars was visible, and at its center hung a golden full moon.

The surroundings were filled with the chirping of insects, the singing of nocturnal birds, and the distant roars of beasts. Her nose was filled with the fragrance of plants, and a gentle breeze brushed against her skin. Qiuya's five senses were wrapped in this fresh yet terrifying sensation — much more realistic than reality itself, as she perceived these sensations in this simulated world.

When the store owner first mentioned this, Ye Qiu was somewhat skeptical; now it seemed justified. This Fairy Fantasy was really quite similar to Ye Qiu's previous world.

Clearly just a game, how were such results achieved, like these questions driving Qiuya's nervous system constantly working while also sending copious amounts of information to her brain.

"I came all the way here again."

Ye Qiu closed his eyes. Since being released from that world two months ago, Qiuya had once given up the idea of fully diving into such a life-risking experience, but here she was again.

But this world shouldn't cause death, Ye Qiu forcibly reassured himself.

It's really hard to change one's nature — thinking this made him laugh.

However, there's something different about this world; even if HP becomes zero, you won't die in reality, and you can leave at any time. Thinking about this, Qiuya started to mind certain things.

Earlier, there was an anomaly with object imaging, a mysterious spatial movement — what on earth was all this about? Why was Qiuya brought to this place? Wasn't the starting point supposed to be the gathering station of each race, just like the tutorial system said?

"Hey, that can't be right, can it?"

Ye Qiu's face began to twitch, raising his right hand and waving his index and middle fingers together. Nothing happened. Qiuya broke out into cold sweat, tried several more times, and finally recalled the earlier tutorial; the menu call and flight controller operations seemed to be completed with the left hand.

Ye Qiu extended his left hand fingers, waved them, and with a crisp sound effect, a translucent menu window opened up. On the menu's right side were rows of buttons.
