Two full days had passed, and Angel was still obsessively thinking about what Carlos and Sabrina had tried to tell her back at the market.

Whatever those two had been trying to hint at had stayed stuck inside her head. She had gone over their words countless times, trying to figure out what they had been getting at.

Every time she thought she was close to understanding it, another question would pop into her mind.

She had even gone out of her way to call them on the phone twice, desperately trying to drop subtle hints and get more information out of them without actually admitting aloud that she was completely lost and wanted to know.

Unfortunately, neither phone call gave her the clear answer she wanted.

Angel was too stubborn to simply ask them directly, and Carlos and Sabrina seemed to find her confusion far too amusing. That only made Angel think about it even more.

Meanwhile, April was still just as intensely clingy as ever, barely letting the Alpha step a few feet away from her body.

If Angel went into the kitchen, April wanted to follow.

If Angel sat on the porch, April wanted to sit beside her.

Even when Angel needed to grab something from another room, April would immediately start looking for her.

At first, Angel had found it adorable.

After a while, she started becoming genuinely concerned.

She kept wondering whether something was wrong with her Omega. April had never been this attached to her before, and Angel had no idea what could possibly be causing it.

It was a quiet morning when April suddenly became violently nauseous from the breakfast food Angel had carefully prepared for her. April barely took her very first bite before her stomach turned, forcing her to run straight to the bathroom to throw up everything.

Angel froze beside the table.

Her heart nearly stopped when she heard April getting sick.

She immediately rushed after her, completely forgetting about the breakfast sitting untouched on the table. Her mind jumped to every terrible possibility at once. April had been sleeping more, acting clingier, and now she was throwing up.

To Angel, those signs could only mean something terrible was happening.

Instantly thinking her sweet baby girl was severely ill or dying from some unknown sickness, a panicked Angel called her grandmother Lucinda right away.

Lucinda, who had already easily figured out what was truly happening to the young Omega days ago, calmly prepared a special soup for the girl to consume.

Angel, however, had somehow remained completely clueless.

April slowly drank the soup while resting against Angel, looking exhausted after being sick. Her usual energy had disappeared, leaving her soft and sleepy.

April was gently tucked into their bed right afterward, resting her heavy eyes as the medicine took effect.

Angel stayed beside her the entire time.

She watched every little movement, constantly checking April’s breathing and making sure she was comfortable. Even after Lucinda reassured her that everything was fine, Angel still looked worried.

Eventually, April’s breathing became slow and steady.

Angel started to sob softly the exact moment her fiancée finally fell asleep beside her.

"Is she really going to die, Grandma Lucinda?" Angel whimpered, her hands trembling as she wiped her wet face. "I just only wanted to mark her back then so she could officially be mine forever. I honestly did not realize it would turn out this bad... I really don’t want to lose my other half..."

Lucinda stared down at the crying Alpha with an expression that mixed disbelief and frustration.

"Ay, Dios mío, Angel, stop your foolish crying this instant..." Grandma Lucinda scolded the young Alpha sharply, looking down at her as she stood by the edge of the bed. "April is definitely not dying. She is simply bringing a new life into this world. The fact that you couldn’t figure that simple thing out all these days... you really are Lucille’s daughter through and through," she added, shaking her head at the Alpha who was still sobbing on the floor because she genuinely thought her Omega was dying.

Angel’s crying immediately became quieter.

She stared up at her grandmother, trying to process what she had just heard.

"What do you actually mean by that, Grandma?" Angel asked, wiping her nose....

Lucinda sighed before finally making the situation clear.

"April is pregnant, and the extreme clinginess is definitely because of the marking you gave her. That is precisely why marking an Omega is so rare these days. She will be constantly needing you close to her body every single day for comfort and support."

Angel quickly stopped crying altogether. She completely paused for a long moment, frozen as she let those incredible words slowly sink deep into her mind.

"She is pregnant? Are you completely sure about that? Is that really how pregnant people behave?" Angel asked, her voice cracking in disbelief.

Lucinda immediately reached out and firmly grabbed Angel’s left ear, giving it a sharp, stern tug.

"I carried your mother and all her siblings in my own body, so when I tell you that April is pregnant, you don’t ever doubt me..."

"Okay, okay... I’m sorry! Please stop pulling my ear!" Angel squealed, wincing from the pain.

Grandma Lucinda let go of her ear with a quiet huff and left the bedroom to go arrange the kitchen for the young adults.

Angel sat there alone in the room, completely unable to stop thinking about her sweet Omega being pregnant with her child.

Only moments ago, Angel had been terrified that she was going to lose April. Now, she was struggling to believe that she was actually going to become a mother.

She honestly wasn’t expecting her baby girl to already have a little bun baking in her oven so soon.

A massive, wide, happy smile slowly spread across Angel’s dimpled face as she turned her head to look at her sleeping beauty, her eyes drifting down to rest on April’s flat tummy.

She looked at April for a while, almost afraid that if she blinked, the whole thing would disappear.

Then she gently placed her ear flat against April’s smooth tummy, holding her breath.

"Hey there, little bun... it’s your mummy speaking," Angel whispered softly, her heart beating fast against her ribs. "Mummy loves you so much already and simply can’t wait for you to pop out into the world... Please be very gentle with your Omega mom while you’re in there. We both love you so much..."

Angel knew the baby was still far too small to hear her properly, but that did not stop her from talking.

For the first time, she was able to imagine a tiny member of their family growing inside April.

Their little family.

The thought made her chest feel warm.

As Angel continued to speak sweet, quiet little words directly into her Omega’s tummy, she suddenly felt a soft, warm hand resting gently on top of her head.

April was wide awake, looking down at her with glowing eyes.

"Did I hear you correctly just now, Papi?" April asked softly, her voice trembling with emotion. "Am I really having a baby right now? Is there actually a mini you inside me at this exact moment?" April asked, her big eyes instantly turning watery.

Angel raised her head up slightly from her tummy, looking straight into April’s tear-filled face.

She nodded her head repeatedly, her own eyes swelling up with tears of joy.

"Yes, my all... we are having a baby," Angel confirmed, her voice thick with emotion. "We are really going to be parents..."

April widened her smile into the brightest grin Angel had ever seen on her face. She was completely thrilled with pure joy upon hearing the definitive news that she was carrying the love of her life’s baby inside her body.

A mini Angel was growing inside her right now.

The two emotional girls quickly leaned into each other and shared a deep, heartwarming kiss as they both cried tears of total joy, wrapping their arms tightly around one another on the bed.

Finally, after everything they had been through together over the past months, they were officially going to experience the journey of parenthood together and do everything in their power to be the absolute best parents for their little one.
