April walked into the house and immediately found herself staring at what looked like a toy factory that had exploded in the living room. Stuffed bears, little dolls, toy cars, building blocks, and all sorts of colourful playthings covered the floor, leaving barely enough space to walk without stepping on something.

It was Ocean’s playtime, and the little Omega had apparently decided that every toy she owned deserved her attention. Considering how many she had accumulated, it was hardly surprising that the living room looked like that. There were the ones Angel bought whenever she went shopping, those Ocean received during visits to fun parks, and even the toys her parents had to win through games whenever she spotted something she wanted.

Sometimes, Angel and April would visit a fun park intending to enjoy themselves, only to leave with another toy because their little daughter refused to settle for anything else. It had become one of those things they simply accepted about raising Ocean.

Even Lulu’s toys had found their way into the mess, although the little Alpha was nowhere near her sister’s play area. Instead, she sat at the dining table, concentrating on her school assignment with the help of her Alpha mommy.

"A, p, p, l, e. Apple. B, a, l, l. Ball. C, a, t. Cat..."

Angel listened attentively as Lulu sounded out the words in her textbook, taking them one at a time. Whenever her daughter struggled, she patiently corrected her pronunciation before allowing her to try again. She was determined to make learning enjoyable, even if it meant sitting beside Lulu for as long as it took to finish the assignment.

"Very good, my little Alpha. Now, try the next one," Angel encouraged, pointing at the page.

Lulu leaned closer to the textbook, her glasses slipping slightly down her nose as she concentrated on the letters. Angel smiled at her determination, occasionally brushing her hair away from her face whenever it fell across her eyes.

While listening to Lulu read, Angel glanced towards the entrance and spotted her wife standing there with a tired expression.

"Welcome home, bebe...." she asked, briefly looking up before returning her attention to the textbook.

"Welcome home, Mama!" Lulu called.

The little girl immediately pushed her chair back and hurried towards April, eager to welcome her Omega mother. April’s tired expression softened as she opened her arms, welcoming her daughter into a warm embrace before kissing her cheek.

"Hello, my sweetheart. How was school today?"

"It was good, Mama. I’m doing my homework with Mommy."

"I can see that. Make sure you listen to her, okay?"

Lulu nodded, gave her mother another hug, and returned to the dining table. She climbed back into her chair and picked up her pencil, ready to continue her assignment while April made her way further into the house.

However, April had another daughter to find.

She scanned the piles of stuffed bears and colourful toys scattered across the floor, but Ocean was nowhere to be seen. Considering how quiet the little girl had become, April suspected she was hiding somewhere among the mess.

Before she could start searching properly, Angel spoke from the dining table.

"She’s under the table, bebe, busy eating my leg."

April paused and turned towards her wife, who was still helping Lulu with her assignment as though having a toddler chewing on her leg was an ordinary part of the evening.

Knowing Ocean, it probably was.

April carefully made her way across the living room, watching where she placed her feet to avoid disturbing the toys. She eventually reached the dining area and bent down to look underneath the table.

There she was.

Ocean, the little Omega responsible for turning their living room into an ocean of toys, had apparently grown tired of playing. Even the little dinosaur lying beside her had failed to hold her attention for long. Instead, the two-year-old had decided that her Alpha mommy’s leg was a much better source of entertainment.

Her little teeth were firmly attached to Angel’s toes, and she seemed perfectly content with her choice.

"There is my second darling daughter! My big Ocean!" April exclaimed, clapping her hands to catch the toddler’s attention.

Ocean lifted her head, briefly releasing Angel’s leg to stare at her mother with wide eyes.

"What are you doing under there, sweetheart?" April asked, crouching down to get a better look at her.

Before Ocean could answer, Lulu spoke from the dining table.

"She can’t find her chew chew toy, so she’s chewing Mommy’s toes instead."

April glanced at Angel’s foot, then back at her little daughter, who seemed entirely unbothered by the explanation.

"Oh, my goodness," April murmured, trying not to laugh. "Alright, then. I’ll help you find your chew chew toy so you can leave Mommy’s toes alone."

She straightened up and began looking around, checking between the stuffed bears and underneath the furniture. However, she soon realised how difficult it would be to find anything in the middle of such a colorful mess.

The toys needed to be arranged first.

April gathered the stuffed animals into one basket before moving on to the dolls, toy cars, and building blocks. She worked through the different categories one at a time, returning everything to its proper place while keeping an eye out for Ocean’s missing chewing toy.

Angel eventually turned from the textbook to look at her wife, watching as she continued tidying the living room.

"I thought you said you were looking for the chewing toy," she remarked.

"I am, but to find it, I need to arrange everything first," April replied, sorting through another pile.

Angel looked at the mess, then at her wife, who had barely returned from work and was already busy cleaning up after their daughters.

"Bebe, you just got back from work. You should settle in first and rest. Once I’m done with Lulu’s assignment, I’ll tidy the house and find it."

April smiled without stopping her work.

"Focus on Lulu’s assignment, bebe. This is nothing. I’ll finish it in a jiffy, and then I’ll put the girls to bed together."

Angel watched her for a moment, admiring how naturally April had slipped into taking care of everything despite having just returned home. Still, she couldn’t help worrying that her wife was doing too much.

"If you’re tired, you should rest," Angel insisted gently.

"I’m not."

"Okay..." Angel replied, accepting her answer before turning back to Lulu’s textbook.

April continued putting the toys into their proper baskets. The stuffed bears went back into their corner, the dolls were arranged neatly, and the toy cars and figures were gathered together. Little by little, the living room returned to its original state, leaving the floor clear enough to walk across without worrying about stepping on something.

By the time April finished, Lulu had completed her assignment, and Angel was helping the girls with their bath time. Ocean’s missing chewing toy was eventually discovered in the corner of the kitchen, exactly where no one had thought to look earlier.

Unfortunately, finding it had been pointless.

Ocean was already fast asleep in her crib, while Angel had finished bathing Lulu and was busy tucking their older daughter into bed.

April stood at the doorway for a moment, watching her wife move around the children’s room with the confidence of someone who had mastered the routine. Angel was now so familiar with the girls’ bedtime preparations that she could handle everything remarkably quickly, making sure each daughter was comfortable before settling them down for the night.

Her Alpha wife had truly become an expert at it.

April smiled as Angel carefully adjusted Lulu’s blanket before giving her a gentle kiss goodnight. She was grateful for how much her wife had taken care of while she was away at work, and knowing she had helped ease Angel’s workload by tidying the living room made her feel a little better.

Looking down at the chewing toy in her hand, she chuckled softly.

"I’ll leave it on the dining table for tomorrow."

With Ocean sleeping peacefully in her crib and Lulu tucked safely into bed, there was no reason to wake either of them just to return the toy.

April quietly stepped away from the children’s room, intending to head towards their bedroom. However, before she could take another step, Angel emerged and gently closed the door behind her.

The moment April turned around, her Alpha slipped both arms around her waist from behind, catching her by surprise.

Angel pressed a soft kiss against her neck, making April let out a small chuckle as she leaned back against her.

"It’s time for you to bathe, my wifey. Let’s bathe together," Angel whispered.

"Hey..." April laughed, turning her head slightly to look at her wife. "Really? Feeling naughty again? Weren’t you satisfied with the lunch we fed each other in my office this afternoon?"

Angel grinned against her neck, clearly enjoying the way her wife was teasing her.

"Come on, that was lunch. It’s dinner time now." She paused before adding in a playful purr, "You really have a naughty mind. I just want to bathe with my sweet lady, huh?"

April bit her inner cheek, trying to suppress her smile as she turned around to face her Alpha. She slipped her arms around Angel’s waist and rested her head against her chest, allowing herself to relax in the familiar warmth of her wife’s embrace.

"Let me stay like this for a moment, Papi," she whispered. "Let me feel my heart beating inside you."

She closed her eyes and listened quietly to her wife’s heartbeat, letting its steady rhythm soothe her after a long day at work.

Angel’s playful expression softened. She wrapped her arms around April and rested her head against her wife’s shoulder as they stood together in the quiet space.

For once, neither of them felt the need to speak.

They remained in each other’s arms for almost twenty minutes, enjoying the peace and comfort of being together before finally making their way into their bedroom.
