Chapter 595: Space Upgrade

"It’s done." Shen Xu exclaimed and happily pulled Zhen Yuan into the space.

"The time flow has changed." Zhen Yuan observed as soon as he entered the space.

The time flow had been stuck at one to thirty for thousands of years.

However, Zhen Yuan always felt that the space had more potential and the time flow would eventually change.

Unexpectedly, this time, the space upgrade brought a time flow change.

"One real day is equivalent to ninety space days. One real year is equivalent to ninety space years. Ayuan, we have hit the jackpot." Shen Xu said and smiled.

Zhen Yuan nodded when he heard this.

Compared to ordinary cultivators, he and Shen Xu required more time.

After all, they cultivated qi, soul, and body.

Additionally, they practised martial arts, swordsmanship, and three arts each.

Considering this, they needed more time if they wanted to cultivate their three paths and practice their arts without falling behind their peers.

"There are more changes." Zhen Yuan said and quickly continued.

"The plants have aged a lot." He said and pointed to a nearby tree.

"We just harvested the primordial qi fruits, but there are more ripe fruits on the tree."

"Even the soul nourishing fruits are ripe." Shen Xu added.

After saying that, the two began walking around the space and couldn’t help but marvel at the changes.

"The world tree is already a metre tall." Shen Xu observed and Zhen Yuan hummed in agreement before speaking.

"Look at the divine sword tree." He said and Shen Xu turned to look.

At this time, the tree was three metres tall and had more than a dozen branches, hundreds of leaves, and twenty flowers.

However, the tree was nothing but ordinary.

At a glance, the leaves were either bronze, silver, or gold and all were shaped like swords.

Similarly, the flowers looked like bellflowers and the petals were either bronze, silver, or gold.

However, whether leaves or flowers, there were more bronze than silver and more silver than gold.

As for the branches and trunk, they were a metallic silver than exuded a coldness and sharpness that wasn’t inferior to a level thirteen sword.

"I read that the eventual form of the Divine Sword Tree is purple leaves, purple flowers, and purple fruits. However, it will take millions if not billions of years to achieve that form." Zhen Yuan said.

"The tree is still young but it has such sharpness..." Shen Xu said and subconciously rubbed his arms.

"Mmh." Zhen Yuan agreed.

Although he and Shen Xu were standing five metres away, they could still feel the tree’s sharpness and restrained sword intent.

"We can pluck a few leaves and flowers to give to Mo Ling and the others if we encounter them." Shen Xu said and Zhen Yuan nodded.

"Comprehending the sword intent in these leaves and flowers will improve their swordsmanship by leaps and bounds." He said.

While walking around, the two restored most of the things that they had previously stored in their storage rings.

After all, the space upgrade had allowed the plants, fish, and other things to age.

Considering this, Shen Xu planned to reselect the ingredients that he needed for the second round of the qualification.

At this time, the two stopped infront of a pool and Shen Xu couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

"There is nine-colour soul water." He exclaimed.

After learning about the nine-colour soul stones, the two divided their soul water into two pools: one remained as usual, while the other was used to soak the nine-colour soul stones.

As a result, after the space upgrade, the colourless soul water had become a mixture of colours including green, blue, yellow, and red.

"It’s too bad that we can’t use it until we evolve our souls." Shen Xu said and sighed in resignation.

"It’s only a matter of time." Zhen Yuan comforted and turned to a nearby tree.

"The bodhi fruits are ripe." He said.

For Zhen Yuan, enlightenment treasures were always a favourite.

After all, his cultivation depended on comprehension and enlightenment.

Seeing that the bodhi tree had matured and that the fruits were ripe, he couldn’t help but be excited.

"Let’s harvest them quickly." Shen Xu said and the two got to work.

In no time, the bodhi fruits, primordial qi fruits, soul nourishing fruits, and other mature plants were harvested into special jade boxes.

"This upgrade was worth the wait." The double said with a satisfied smile.

"Mmh." Zhen Yuan agreed.

After harvesting what needed harvesting, Shen Xu and Zhen Yuan didn’t immediately leave the space.

Instead, the double took the chance to prepare a table of food for Zhen Yuan.

"Ayuan, this is the dish I plan to use for the qualification. Try it." He said, pointing to a plate.

The plate had a steamed blue crystal fish.

At a glance, the fish was cooked to perfection and exuded an appetising fragrance that Zhen Yuan couldn’t resist.

Without wasting time, he used his chopsticks and brought a piece of fish to his mouth.

Soon after, his lips curled upwards and he closed his eyes in enjoyment.

"Delicious." He said after swallowing the mouthful.

"How is the effect?" Shen Xu asked and Zhen Yuan tilted his head before answering.

"It’s not pronounced." He said and quickly continued.

"Xiaoxu, our bodies have undergone massive transformation due to the moon essence liquid and the ten elements that we encountered in the Wuhu unknown area. The blue crystal fish are no longer of use to us."

"That said..., this dish is not only delicious but it will be very useful to ordinary people. It’s a treasure." He said and Shen Xu nodded.

"I think so too." He said and sighed.

"It will be difficult to find treasures that can further strengthen our body." He said but Zhen Yuan didn’t dwell on it.

"Our bodies have already reached the optimal state. As long as we continue refining them, they will eventually become indestructible by any immortal or divine means." He said.

"I am a little curious how durable our bodies are." Shen Xu suddenly said and a trace of mischief flashed in his eyes.
