"My brother, after all, is my own flesh and blood, far more obedient than those in the sect."

Situ Chen rode the wind out, looking at the sea shimmering with red and green hues, without any suspicion. Situ Mo had grown up with him, always cautious and obedient since childhood, he had long been accustomed to it.

He rode the wind southward, heading toward the famous Qunyi Sea Strait.

The Qunyi Sea Strait is a long strip of islands, large and small, surrounded by fragmented isles. He flew out on a red and black fire wind, set his direction straight, and wanted to enjoy the view from north to south along the strait.

But as the large island appeared before him, Situ Chen's heart pounded unexpectedly, his breathing grew rapid, and he was suddenly filled with doubt.

"Rise!"

He quickly took out a red crystal shield from his Storage Bag, without taking time to think clearly, his chest and abdomen ached, mana circulated, he formed a spell with his hands, and intense red and black smoke began to billow from his body.

"Boom!"

Situ Chen grunted, the red crystal shield in front of him clanged and flew off at an angle, diverted by more than ten yards; he withdrew his spell-casting hands in pain, and a drop of blood slowly surfaced on his index finger, strikingly red and eye-catching.

Looking down at his chest, a spot of crimson was slowly spreading, his close-fitting Armor shining and gradually dissipating the Metal Qi he had just endured.

'What is that!'

After all, Situ Chen was the Young Master of the Tang Jin Sect, with outstanding strength. Even though taken by surprise, he vaguely made out a flash of golden light. With a heavy expression, he crossed his hands and formed a gathering spell.

The red and black flames on his body suddenly surged forth, rapidly spreading over the sea area above, darkening the skies, blocking Spiritual Sense. He remained outwardly calm:

'The person must be using some kind of Sacrificial Refinement like dart tags or swords in their abdomen... First, I need to make myself invisible to them...'

Being from the Tang Jin Sect, he understood these Toaist Lineage practices. Deciding quickly, he used the smoke to conceal himself and took out a piece of spirit silk from his Storage Bag, draping it over his back, and his figure disappeared completely.

After Situ Chen had done all this and took a moment to catch his breath, his heart inexplicably started throbbing violently again. He shouted in alarm:

"How is it possible! How can they see me!"

Despite all his confusion, he could only hold it in as he defended himself with the crystal shield, feeling hollow inside, his eyebrows furrowed as he formed the spell once more.

"Huh!"

This time, he was prepared, yet the force felt stronger than before, a sweet taste of blood filled his mouth, his eyes widened as he finally saw the golden light for what it was and reacted:

"It's an arrow!"

In Yue Country, few used arrows. He didn't need to think twice, only exclaiming in horror:

"It's that curs dog, Li Xuanfeng!"

Although he had never fought with this person, those two arrows had already shown him their power, and he understood that the other party was not limited to just these couple of tricks. He cursed:

"What have I done to him! He wants to kill me for this!"

Situ Chen's cheeks tingled slightly, sensing the other party was gathering power for another shot. While escaping north on the wind, he secretly crushed a Jade Pendant from his sleeve.

"Good thing I had the foresight to leave a Jade Pendant on the island. My sixteenth brother will undoubtedly come to my aid when he sees this. He has a deep-seated grudge against this person. The two of us brothers will join hands, and it will be just right to deal with this scoundrel!"

As he rose on the wind, he felt pain all over his body, his face was shocked, he grabbed the twin blades on his back, drew them, and crossed them in front of him defensively.

Situ Chen felt extreme frustration, although he had a whole set of blade techniques he could use and might not be worse than this person, he couldn't even find the other's shadow. His Spell and blade techniques all went to waste, leaving him only passively defending.

It was then that he saw five golden lights flying from afar, chasing each other in succession. He broke into a cold sweat. Situ Chen was not good at defense and felt slightly panicked. He actually formed a Talisman, putting up several beams of white light.

"Buzz buzz buzz..."

He heard buzzing around his ears, four of the arrow lights exploded beside him, spreading a powdery gold mist, sweeping away his smoke and sticking to his mana like flesh-boring maggots, making him feel heavy.

The last arrow light shattered his Dharma Shield entirely. Situ Chen quickly held his sword aloft, the blade glowing red as he parried, striking out at the arrow light.

But this arrow light was an inch shorter than the previous ones and even more agile and unpredictable. It made a slight turn in midair and struck with lightning speed between his hands. Situ Chen was horrified, shuddering as a bloody hole appeared in his palm.

"This arrow..."

His face went blank as he tossed aside all thoughts of resistance, realizing he could not withstand this foe. He stooped his head and rose on the wind, heading north, but his speed was hampered by the Metal Gang, significantly slower than before.

As a succession of golden lights followed one after another, Situ Chen miserably used his Talismans, but this Li Yuanfeng was very cunning, mixing feints with real attacks, overwhelming him until he spat fresh blood. Chased and pursued for a full day and night, he was covered in wounds and looked utterly exhausted.

'Situ Mo has not arrived yet!'

Whether to say that Situ Mo was good at feigning or that Situ Chen was unable to discern loyalty from deception, to this day, he had not suspected his sixteenth brother. Instead, he said fiercely:

"It seems... Yuan Su's men have already surrounded my sixteenth brother. Escaping only to Jindou won't necessarily be any better..."

But by now, he had no other escape, being slowly worn down at sea by Li Xuanfeng. His only hope was Jindou Island. After much thought, he took out a deep gold Talisman from his Storage Bag.
