"Sect Master! The eastern side..."

Only then did he see Li Xizhi inside, startled in shock, and immediately closed his mouth. Li Xizhi realized that this man was Ning Heyuan from the Ning Family and was now being very respectful towards Chi Zhiyun.

Chi Zhiyun spoke intimately:

"Xizhi, go down first... my brother is already waiting below; you can follow him."

Li Xizhi respectfully excused himself and stepped out, Ning Heyuan kept his head low and remained silent, and Chi Zhiyun smiled inwardly, waved his hand, and listened as Ning Heyuan said:

"Sect Master... something's happened at Red Reef Island and Great Owl Sunflower View... Lin Chensheng killed Guo Hong'er on East Sea Island... the sky was filled with red rain, and the incident has blown up quite big. It seems a Zifu intervened."

Chi Zhiyun seemed to have already known, holding the jade talisman silently in his hand, and said softly:

"Red Reef Island's eastern and western parts have always been at odds, and Guo Shentong has been slow to show himself... it was bound to happen sooner or later."

Ning Heyuan reported some minor matters and soon slowly left, leaving Chi Zhiyun sitting there. He quietly watched the direction Li Xizhi had gone, the smile on his face gradually fading.

'None of them make it easy... I would have thought Tang Shedou was troublesome enough, but this Li Xizhi... even less manageable than Tang Shedou.'

He thought to himself:

'The Kong Family certainly needs the Rosy Clouds, and Chang Xi did indeed come to seek Sui Guan... Li Xizhi doesn't have that much influence...'

After pondering for a moment, Chi Zhiyun set the jade talisman down:

'If Tang Shecheng and Yu Yuxie were not dead, with Xiao Yuansi and Yu Xiuxian inside... we wouldn't need to rely on anyone right now...'

Among the many Zifu, he actually liked Yuan Su's way of doing things, and was not fond of Chi Wei's draining the pond to get at the fish, yet another thought crossed his mind:

"Once I reach Zifu myself, perhaps my thoughts will differ."

On the other hand, Li Xizhi rode the wind down, where a young man was already waiting in the mountains, his appearance quite similar to Chi Zhiyun's yet somewhat gloomy. At this moment, his face was full of sincere smiles as he said:

"Zhiyan greets the Peak Master!"

Having heard of this person's reputation, Li Xizhi did not dare to be careless and waved his hands repeatedly, though the other was very enthusiastic, talking nonstop about many things.

Li Xizhi nodded slightly and bid him farewell, accompanying him to Long Sky Peak.

Long Sky Peak was not particularly high, somewhat rough and steep. Because it was usually uninhabited, wild grass covered the mountain. Li Xizhi rode the wind and alighted, finding only a quaint little dwelling at the mountain's summit.

Li Xizhi had wanted to inquire about Zhang Lingshu's situation, but he did not trust Chi Zhiyan, greeted him politely, and sent him outside the peak.

Chi Zhiyan bid farewell with cupped hands, confidently saying:

"Brother Xizhi! My brother handles myriad affairs every day, and it's hard to manage all those brothers under him... Should you encounter any difficulties whatsoever, don't hesitate to look for me, Chi Zhiyan! I will take care of these matters myself! I won't let Long Sky Peak suffer the slightest grievance!"

Li Xizhi nodded and smiled, not believing a word, then rode the wind back to the peak, starting to arrange things carefully.

Most of the formations in the pavilion were still functional, and the place looked elegant and beautiful. As he was tidying up the mountain, he waited for a quarter of an hour, and sure enough, someone came to visit.

The person was tall and had just entered the mountain when he became excited, calling out loudly:

"Xizhi! You finally have a good spot of land now!"

"Brother has quite the swift news."

Li Xizhi smiled faintly, showing a touch of sincerity for once. The man before him was Yang Xiao'er's elder brother, Yang Ruizao, who was also a Foundation Establishment Cultivator and had met Li Xizhi a few times.

Yang Ruizao took a quick look around, chatting with him for a while, and even without waiting for Li Xizhi to ask, he laughed and said:

"I also know a bit about the situation, just not much. People have been sent to gather information on this peak; I will have it delivered by tonight."

...

Wangyue Lake.

The snow on the mountains of the North Shore was pure and bright. Li Xijun had been silently observing the lake for several days and had already detected signs of battle more than a dozen times.

"The Fei Clan has really suffered a disaster," he muttered to himself.

Wangyue Lake's North Shore bordered Xu Country, and the Fei Clan was the first to bear the brunt. The Buddhist and Devil Cultivators who fled from Xu Country were divided into two groups by West Screen Mountain and headed towards Wu and Yue respectively.

It was only because the Fei Clan's Great Formation was passed down from ancient times and could withstand Foundation Establishment, and since these cultivators had just fled into the territory, eager to erase their tracks and unwilling to linger, that no major incident had occurred.

Even so, the Fei Clan still had several members who went out and died at the hands of Devil and Buddhist Cultivators. They had learned their lesson and were now hunkering down in the mountains, unmoving.

Li Xijun waited for a long while, crossed over Lake Zhongzhou, and saw two streaks of light flying one after the other. The first was clearly Dharma Light, looking rather disheveled, while the second was dark and gloomy, without a clear trail to follow.

Li Xijun looked at the direction they came from, and figured that eight or nine out of ten times, they came from Xu Country. He thought to himself,

"Xiuyue has only just shrunk back, and the cultivators of Xu Country are already fleeing to Yue Country. One could just fly randomly and run into them... It's evident Xu Country has descended into chaos..."

During his time here, he encountered several just by chance, Li Xijun intended to capture one to inquire about the situation, but hadn't found an appropriate target to take action against.

'First, Buddhist Practitioners are shrewd and fond of laying plans, and given our family's grudge against them, clearly I should avoid Buddhist Practitioners… As for Devil and Immortal Cultivators, I'll pick someone with a low cultivation level, appearing to lack any significant cultivation technique background.'

He waited several days, and finally, these two came along, neither particularly skilled at escaping. They appeared to be merely Devil or Immortal Cultivators. He rode the breezes and snow, and in the blink of an eye, he was blocking the path of the person in front.

Li Xijun reached out and grabbed him, instantly breaking his Dharma Light and Escaping Light. The person didn't react in time, falling into his hands like a lamb to the slaughter, his cultivation sealed, tossed among the wind and snow.

The person turned out to be an old man, wearing a ragged Taoist robe, holding a dust whisk in his hand, his face full of shock, yet unable to speak due to his cultivation and mouth being sealed.

Unable to speak, he curled up in the air, his hands clasped in prayer, continuously gesturing for mercy.

The person behind reacted much quicker, almost turning tail and running at the appearance of the clear breezes and white snow, soaring up with a burst of bloodlight, clearly using some kind of spell that drained his lifespan and vital energy.

Li Xijun nodded slightly, made a hand gesture, brought two fingers together, and pointed lightly at his fleeing figure.

A stream of white, silk-like Tujun Kuiguang burst forth, weaving and darting like lightning, grazing over the fleeing figure's trail. A cry of pain was heard as numerous spells were wiped clean, and the figure plummeted into the lake.

It turned out to be a young man, pale from using a secret technique. He was dressed in black, with his vital energy rising, and it was unclear whether this was due to his cultivation technique or the spell he had used.

Li Xijun moved forward, sealed the young man's cultivation, and fished him out. The two Qi Cultivators before him were like fish on a chopping block, helpless. Without speaking, he immediately took to the winds and flew southward.

After half a cup of tea's time, Li Zhouwei was seen in armor, halberd in hand, standing tall. Chen Yan, who had just broken through to the Third Layer of Qi Cultivation, flew behind him.

As the years passed, Li Zhouwei's oddities became more subdued. Now, riding the wind in the sky, he looked no different from an ordinary person except for an inexplicable force within his gaze that captivated those who saw it, as everything else about him was well concealed.

His features matured, his shoulders broadened, resembling his father more closely. The strange aura he had at birth had faded considerably, and Chen Yan still stood by, diligently observing the proper decorum.

Li Zhouwei, at the Third Layer of Qi Cultivation, was not in a hurry to advance his cultivation. Advancing too quickly would have been shocking and might have aroused suspicion, so he spent more time practicing his halberd technique.

He waited for a while and soon saw Li Xijun riding the wind towards him. The young Foundation Establishment Cultivator from Qingdu, who oversaw affairs, showed a hint of worry, with two cultivators curled up beside him in the lawful wind.

Li Zhouwei had joined the cultivation on Qingdu Mountain. With Li Ximing in long-term seclusion and Li Qinghong overseas, and both Li Xizhi and Li Xuanfeng in Green Pond, Qingdu Mountain gradually became a place where only Li Xijun and Li Zhouwei discussed family matters.

After a brief glance, Li Zhouwei understated,

"Great-uncle, there was another minor disturbance just now. This makes the seventh Buddhist Practitioner who has flown over this month..."

The northern sky was overcast. Li Xijun had just returned from inspecting the Fei Clan, and in the past few days, he had a clear view of the situation. Hearing this, he replied,

"That's right, I just came back from the North Shore. The Fei Clan has already lost three Qi Cultivators. I've casually captured these two to inquire thoroughly about the situation in the north."
