Chapter 2633: Chapter 1143: Bestowing Favor (2)
"This..." Clan Leader Giharin was still full of conflicted hesitation.
In his view, Gaven was purely comforting him, making him feel at ease accepting the gift.
"Father, just accept it. After all, we already owe the Lord a tremendous favor. Don’t fear owing a little more; we’ll find a way to repay it together in the future."
"Indeed, only by living can we repay this kindness."
"Your Majesty, please accept it. We are still counting on you to lead us in reclaiming Tesser Yama. This is the closest we’ve come to success in three hundred years. You can’t fall at this moment; all of the Black Iron Clan are watching you."
The other three dwarves were not as conflicted as Giharin and earnestly persuaded him.
"To me, an experienced Legendary Blacksmith is much more precious than these five Primordial Golden Apples."
Gaven felt full of helplessness within, wondering why no one believed the truth he was speaking, "To be honest, the God of the Apple Tree is my friend, and the Apple Mother Tree was rescued together from evil.
As for how many Primordial Golden Apples, I dare not say, but they aren’t unattainable.
The fact that I dare to present five at once indicates I have more on hand."
"When did the clan leader become as indecisive as a woman?" The Black Dragoness teased, "If you keep rejecting, you will waste the master’s good intentions. Don’t blame me for looking down on you."
"I have never seen a dwarf with such sentimental attachments." The Legendary Arcanist was also somewhat impatient, "Since you’re embarrassed to accept it, I’ll help you, and let’s finish the serious business quickly."
His hands swiftly crafted a Dharma Seal, conjuring balls of white mist out of thin air, wrapping the five Primordial Golden Apples.
The five Primordial Golden Apples immediately flew out, forming a star pattern around Giharin, and rich Life Force emerged from them, continuously pouring into his body.
Having personally tasted the Primordial Golden Apples, Philancy knew their essence very well.
Eating the Primordial Golden Apples is simply the process of integrating this Life Force into one’s body.
No difference whether it’s eaten or activated by magic.
With the large influx of Life Force, the age spots on Giharin’s face began miraculously fading, and his wrinkles gradually started to diminish, vibrant life force erupted from his body, eliminating the sense of him being old and decrepit.
Though Giharin did not revert to youthful form, becoming younger than his son, he at least returned to the moment he entered old age.
Feeling the surging power within his body, Giharin no longer hesitated, he hammered his chest and saluted to Gaven again: "Thank you greatly, from now on, the Lord is my Giharin’s lifesaver, as long as it doesn’t conflict with the Black Iron Clan’s interests, I will exhaust all efforts if called upon."
"That’s more like it." Gaven said with a smile, "The road ahead is long, there will be plenty of opportunities to repay favors. We are here this time to discuss the future development path, definitely needing the clan leader’s expertise in casting. I hope you will hold nothing back."
"I swear in the name of Father Moradin, I will have no reservations." Giharin vowed without hesitation.
"No need for such formalities, I trust your character." Gaven took the lead towards the elevator path, "The specifics, we’ll discuss after we meet Chieftain Yuriu."
"Alright." The four dwarves, who just came down from the elevator, were all cheerfully following him back in, drilling toward the Colossus Underground City.
The people just out of the elevator nearly stumbled from the waves of heat and loud clamor that rushed at them.
The temperature in the Colossus substratum could reach at least forty, worse than the sultriest summer heat.
Countless iron ores were continuously transported down by steam conveyors, first sent into steam-driven colossal crushers, pulverizing them into fine iron ore fragments, then injected into numerous giant furnaces.
There are dozens of such furnaces.
Once the furnaces are filled, massive lids cover them, dwarf runes on top light up, drawing geothermal energy in torrents.
Though Gaven has limited understanding of modern steelmaking, there’s one thing he knows for sure — this is an incredibly intricate process.
It’s far from just tossing in iron ore and getting steel out after melting.
It surely involves numerous chemical reactions, only when the element ratio reaches the optimal condition can good steel be forged.
These commonalities are not applicable to the dwarves’ Magic Furnace, they simply throw the iron ore in, and when it emerges, it’s steel juice.
The answer is simply the power of magic.
During the smelting in the Magic Furnace, the furnace automatically absorbs the trace elements needed to refine steel and adjusts them to the best condition based on demands.
In the past, Gaven might have sighed a few times in his mind.
But now, he’s quite accustomed to it, feeling it as naturally expected.
Forcing Earthly science to explain everything in the Multiverse is the most foolish act.
Like now, using it as a reference point or source of inspiration to guide self-development is the wisest decision.
The steel juice produced by the Magic Furnace is split into two.
Most of it, after coming out, is directly sent into steel molds, pressed into square dwarf steel ingots, then conveyed by conveyor belts to the warehouse for storage.
