Chapter 2650: Chapter 1149: The Gods Reveal Themselves

"As long as we keep the tribe alive, food shortages are a minor issue. The Rebooter of Mesnoel will not turn a blind eye and will surely help you through this difficult time." Kellysha breathed a long sigh of relief.

Her perspective had already transcended the traditional views of the Golia. Such traditional dilemmas no longer existed for her.

"Let’s hope the Rebooter is as benevolent as you say." Zanita expressed skepticism towards the legendary Rebooter.

They chose to come to Mesnoel not because they believed in the Rebooter, but because they believed in the Mountain Tribe and Kellysha.

"Do you think this heavy rain is just luck?" Kellysha asked in response.

"Sister, do you mean this heavy rain is the work of the Rebooter?" Zanita, their tribe’s Shaman and Wise Man, caught on quickly.

"Yes," Kellysha answered honestly, "This is the result of the Rebooter leading hundreds of Transcendent Druids to use the Manipulation of Weather spell. It will last at least twenty-four hours, and the fire to the east has mostly been extinguished, enough for you to reach Mesnoel."

"Praise the Rebooter, I will immediately organize them to head to Mesnoel," Zanita had no doubts.

They had suspected the heavy rain was a result of a spell, but didn’t expect the range to be so large, also a reason they couldn’t make a decision earlier.

Kellysha’s swift arrival was timely, or they would have ascended to scout the situation ahead.

"Sister Zanita, I need your assistance."

"Say whatever you need."

"I need your Giant Eagle riders to help search for Golia people trapped like you, and bring them news of safety to the east."

"It is our unshirkable responsibility. After informing the Chieftain, we will depart immediately."

"Thank you."

"No need to be formal, they are my tribe too."

"One last question," Kellysha asked the most concerning question, "Did you see anything unusual during this mountain fire? Is there someone deliberately setting the fire? For example, the Dwarves Elf!"

"Even if you didn’t ask, I was just about to tell you," Zanita said with a serious expression, "I didn’t see the Dwarves Elf, but I saw many Fire Element Creatures setting fires all over, and many were chasing our tribe around.

Therefore, I have reason to believe that this is a targeted attack against us, the Golia people.

It’s very likely masterminded by Karinshan’s Slave Masters, who discovered a gold mine of unprecedented scale underground in Serenagrad with their scouting team.

They wanted to send slaves into the mountain to build a gold mine, which was refused by the Chieftains. That is our Holy Mountain and must not be desecrated.

Those Karinshan Slave Masters will stop at nothing for profit, including exterminating us, the Golia people."

This Golia’s response confirmed their suspicions, only differently, where they suspected the masterminds were Karinshan’s ruling class rather than the Dwarves Elf.

"Pursuing the masterminds is a matter for the future. What we need to do now is to stop the tragedy from continuing and prevent the situation from worsening," Kellysha focused on the matter at hand.

"Leave the rest to me. You go back to Mesnoel to organize the evacuation," Gaven said in a psychic whisper after getting the information he wanted from Kellysha, "If I find survivors, I will contact you at once."

"Alright." Kellysha complied smoothly.

She knew her limitations; even if facing a group of Fire Element Creatures, or the fiercely burning mountain fire, she could only do little, potentially hindering Gaven.

It was better to concentrate her attention on the tasks she could accomplish.

After setting Kellysha down, Gaven soared into the sky again, pushing his speed to its limit, heading toward the fiercest part of the fire.

Crackle! Crackle! Crackle!

From afar, Gaven could hear the strange sounds, very similar to the explosive sounds of dry wood burning fiercely.

The forefront of the mountain fire was like a frenzied swarm, twisting into various shapes, or giant flaming skulls, or ferocious demons, or massive flame giants.

Occasionally, clusters of small flames would eject from above, falling on the surrounding dry branches and leaves, igniting them.

Upon closer inspection, one could see that those flames were not real flames but tiny flame creatures.

They were only the size of candlelight, with a pair of flaming wings. To call them small people was because they barely had human contours, more like an incomplete flame afterimage, hideous and twisted, screaming incomprehensibly as they flocked to ignite the most flammable items around, dancing excitedly upon them.

When they saw living things, they got even more excited, pursuing them relentlessly.

However, they were not much brighter than candlelight, and once they left the main swarm, they would be extinguished by a tail swipe before fully igniting the animals.

They were simply overwhelming in numbers, like locusts during a plague, endless.

"Fire Slag Cluster! Such a large-scale Fire Slag Cluster! Alas, how much life has already perished in this sea of fire?" Gaven couldn’t help but lament.

Like the Fire Element he had previously summoned with magic, fire slags were also a type of Fire Element Creature.

Unlike the pure elemental essence magic entities, fire slags are mixed Fire Element Creatures, born from the fusion of elemental essence and the burning residue of souls, resembling burning slag, hence the name fire slags.
