Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God
Chapter 2842 - 1213: As Bold as One Is, As Bountiful as the Land
Chapter 2842: Chapter 1213: As Bold as One Is, As Bountiful as the Land
"The Lady’s rebuke is well deserved; this time we were indeed reckless and careless." Gaven nodded in deep agreement. "Afterwards we will carry out a thorough review and self?criticism. How does the Lady think this battle should be fought?"
"If you are to fight, it should not be within your own Dream, but by striking directly into the Dark Night Giant Snake’s Nightmare Dream Realm." Though Mother Earth rarely took part in combat, that did not mean she lacked Strategy. "I will carefully select suitable targets—ones that both ensure our chances of victory and inflict sufficient harm upon the Dark Night Giant Snake.
Once I have chosen a target, I will inform you.
Before that, what you need to do is accumulate Strength.
Your current Strength is not bad, but if you wish to deal with that greedy serpent, you are still far from enough."
Having finally seized this opportunity, Gaven naturally would not let it slip, determined to mine Mother Earth’s value to the fullest: "The Dragon Oak Dream Realm’s development Speed is respectable, but without mastering the power of any Divine Position, Virginia lacks rightful name and title, and many powers that belong exclusively to the Divine Office of Dreams cannot be used.
The Dragon Oak Dream Realm actually birthed a Dream Divine Spark a long time ago, but I feared it would draw too many covetous gazes, so I have not dared to employ it."
The reason they had delayed Lord Virginia’s ascent to godhood earlier was completely different from Gaven’s approach of putting down roots in the Material Plane and farming it deeply.
It was purely out of considerations of safety.
But if Mother Earth would provide protection, then this concern would vanish.
If Ascension is attainable, then one should Ascend as far as possible.
After all, under the blessing of Divine Position and Divine Nature, there are conveniences that mortals do not possess.
One Gaven upon the earth is enough; above, the more True Gods he personally raises up that are tied to his own development and construction, the better. The bigger a stir he makes on the surface, the more both sides will benefit.
"You little slippery one, you’re quite good at bargaining." Mother Earth could not help but curse with a smile. "If you want me to act as your shield, just say it plainly; no need to beat around the bush. Even without this layer of cooperation, do you think I would sit by and do nothing?"
"I know the Lady is benevolent at heart, but this matter is no trivial one. I must confirm it before I can be at ease." Gaven felt no embarrassment at all.
"You are indeed cautious." Mother Earth gave full approval to Gaven’s prudence, but still kindly reminded him, "A Divine Nature Spark possesses Attributes.
The Divine Nature Spark born of the Dragon Oak Dream Realm will definitely be of natural Dream. Using it for Divine Enthronement will of course have enormous appeal to the Natural Races.
But if in the future you wish to set foot into the Dreams of Humans, it will be incomparably difficult; there will be a natural racial barrier!"
"There’s even such a thing!" Gaven’s brow twitched of its own accord; it seemed their earlier decision not to rush into Divine Enthronement had been correct.
Though they now had quite a few True Gods, most were newly risen Demigods, and the knowledge of the Gods was severely lacking.
Much of it had been force?fed to him by the Goddess of Wealth during this period.
"What if, during Ascension, we simultaneously fuse in the Lady of Mist’s Godhood Segment? Would the effect perhaps be better?" Lord Virginia once again went straight to the heart of the matter.
"You still have Laila’s Godhood Segment in your hands?" A trace of unconcealed astonishment appeared in Mother Earth’s expression.
"We do not." Gaven explained, "We have merely discovered a site that is suspected to hold a Godhood Segment of the Lady of Mist, and we intend to launch dream warfare against it, wiping out all the Evil there in one stroke."
He truthfully laid out the situation in the Far Sea Marsh, including the earlier Memory Projection, and shared it all with Mother Earth.
"It is indeed very likely to be a Godhood Segment of the Lady of Mist, but it has clearly been controlled and corrupted by Evil Power, a textbook Nightmare Dream Realm." Mother Earth gave a confirming nod. "It is ideal to use it as practice. If you truly find Laila’s Godhood Segment there, I have an impertinent request."
"Please speak freely, Lady." Gaven had more or less guessed her intention.
"Please leave the Lady of Mist a sliver of life. In the end, she was implicated because of me, and I once promised to grant her my protection." Mother Earth could not help but sigh.
Gaven replied without the slightest hesitation: "Rest assured, Lady. All we require is the Dream Seed of the Lady of Mist. As for the Divine Positions of Illusion Technique and deception, not only do we not covet them, we will instead do our utmost to strip them away.
For once Dream is used for deception, it becomes a tool of Evil.
My only concern is that even if we are willing to spare her, the Prince of Lies will not. After all, most of the Divine Positions of Illusion Technique and deception have already been Plundered by him."
This was not something he had just made up on the spot; from the very beginning, he had never intended for Lord Virginia to walk Laila’s old path.
He aimed to forge a Dream Position that belonged solely to her. A single dream network would be enough to grant her limitless possibilities in the future, spawning a host of exclusive Divine Positions.
There was no need to fight others for the scraps on the bone.
Even if the Lady of Mist were to be rebuilt, she would be unable to shake Lord Virginia’s status and might even become her Deity.
After all, there was an inseparable link between Illusion Technique and Dream.
"With that promise from you, I am at ease." Mother Earth showed a sly smile. "Do not forget what the Lady of Mist’s Divine Position is.
Her most core Believers still firmly believe that their Goddess has not died at all, that she is merely using an Illusion Technique to feign death and fool Shylock.
So long as we seize the right moment and choose the appropriate method, we can let the Lady of Mist be reborn.
When it comes to shaping public opinion, I believe that throughout all Felen, there is no one who can stand shoulder to shoulder with you."
