Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband
Chapter 255: Finally Winning Her Over
What a flirtatious Black Bear.
Even while injured, he could not seem to stay still.
Sora pushed Damien’s head aside as he leaned closer to her. She gave him an indifferent look.
"Didn’t I already say we would talk about it after you’ve completely recovered?"
Hearing this, Damien immediately stretched out his arm and deliberately showed off his strong muscles.
"I’m better now. Look at my arm. It’s perfectly fine."
Sora glanced at his arm before calmly replying, "Having a strong arm doesn’t mean your body is completely healed. You were injured on your back. I’m afraid you’d still struggle even if you tried to lie down."
The moment Damien noticed the faint hint of disdain in Sora’s expression, he immediately became determined to prove her wrong.
He took off his black animal-skin clothing and turned his back toward her.
"My back is better too. Look if you don’t believe me."
Sora looked at his back without much expression.
"You were injured only two days ago. How could you possibly be completely recovered in such a short time? You should still rest for a while."
"That’s all thanks to your treatment, Kaelira."
Damien smiled.
"My body feels great now."
Sora knew very well that although her Wood Element Ability had an excellent healing effect, it could not possibly make a serious injury disappear instantly.
She narrowed her eyes at him.
"What’s the rush?"
Before she could finish speaking, Damien suddenly caught her hand.
He gently pressed her palm against his back.
"If you don’t believe me, you’ll know once you touch it."
His voice was low and deliberately persuasive.
Sora stared at him.
With that tone and that expression, it was impossible for her not to suspect that this Black Bear was doing it intentionally.
She was about to scold him.
But once her palm touched his back, her words stopped.
Instead of the rough, injured skin she expected, all she felt beneath her palm was the warmth and strength of his body.
His muscles were firm and powerful.
Sora’s gaze unconsciously drifted downward.
She had never really paid attention to Damien’s physique before.
But now that she was looking closely, she had to admit that his build was exceptionally impressive.
His shoulders were broad and strong, his waist narrow, and the muscles across his back were clearly defined. His physique was powerful without looking overly bulky, while his fair skin carried a warm, healthy glow.
The lines of his muscles looked almost sculpted.
Sora blinked.
She had to admit that this Black Bear was quite attractive.
The longer she looked, the more difficult it became to maintain her previous indifference.
Especially that narrow, firm waist.
It gave him an unmistakable sense of strength.
Damien noticed her reaction.
The corner of his lips curved upward.
He held Sora’s hand and gently guided it along his back.
"Kaelira," he murmured, "is my back better now?"
Sora examined the injury carefully.
There was indeed almost no trace left.
The wounds that had looked so serious before were now nearly healed. There were no obvious scabs, and the skin felt firm beneath her palm.
It was almost as though the injury had never happened.
Sora nodded.
"It is much better."
The moment he heard those words, Damien’s eyes brightened.
"Since it’s better, can we form the Contract Totem now?"
Sora froze.
She had fallen straight into his trap.
She immediately withdrew her hand.
This damn Black Bear had actually used his appearance and physique to distract her!
She shook the distracting thoughts from her mind.
"Wait—"
But Damien held her hand before she could pull it away completely.
Sora’s face flushed slightly.
"Damien, let go of my hand!"
He smiled.
"Kaelira, look at the scenery. Isn’t this a beautiful place?"
He moved closer.
"It’s perfect for us to form our Contract Totem."
Sora stared at him in surprise.
Before she could finish protesting, Damien leaned forward and kissed her.
Her remaining words disappeared.
For a moment, Sora was completely caught off guard.
"Mmm..."
She pushed lightly against him before eventually stopping.
The Contract was going to happen sooner or later.
And Damien had already recovered enough for her to stop worrying about his injury.
Still, she was uncomfortable with the location.
They were currently staying in a temporary thatched hut built by the Wolf Tribe.
Beastmen were constantly moving through the area.
Anyone could accidentally discover them.
The people of the Beast World were far more open about relationships than Sora had been accustomed to in her previous life. But she had come from the Apocalypse, and some things were still difficult for her to accept openly.
She turned her head and glanced around.
She wanted Damien to find somewhere more private.
Damien understood immediately.
Although he was clearly reluctant to delay even for a moment, he still picked Sora up carefully.
Then, with a flash of movement, he carried her outside.
A dark figure crossed through the valley like a phantom.
In the blink of an eye, Damien had disappeared with Sora.
Not far away, Lucas was perched on a tree branch, resting with his eyes half closed.
Suddenly, a dark shadow flashed through his field of vision.
Lucas’s emerald eyes snapped open.
He almost spread his wings to give chase.
But before he could move, Xavier, who was coiled around another branch nearby, lazily flicked his tongue.
"Don’t waste your energy."
Lucas looked at him.
Xavier glanced in the direction Damien had disappeared.
"With a size like that, who else could it be besides that Black Bear?"
Lucas slowly retracted his wings.
He curled his lips.
"Why is he running so fast? Is he in a hurry to pee?"
Xavier gave him a look as though he were looking at an idiot.
"What else could it be?"
Lucas’s expression immediately became sour.
"Damn it. He’s actually that impatient?"
He looked toward the direction Damien had disappeared.
"He hasn’t even completely recovered, and he’s already forming the Contract. Can he even manage it?"
Lucas gritted his teeth.
"I hope Kaelira finds him disappointing."
Nearby, Ace was lying comfortably on the ground and basking in the sunlight.
He heard the conversation and snorted.
The jealousy in his voice was impossible to hide.
Damien moved quickly.
Before Sora could fully understand where they were, he had already brought her into a quiet patch of grass away from the main camp.
The sky above them was a brilliant blue.
White clouds drifted lazily across it.
Sora looked upward and sighed inwardly.
She had never expected Damien to be even more persistent than Xavier.
Still...
When she looked at Damien’s face from such a close distance, she could not deny that she had gotten a fairly good deal.
The Black Bear might be troublesome.
He might be shameless.
And he might be far too eager.
But he was undeniably handsome.
The surrounding grass swayed gently beneath the wind.
The two remained together in the secluded area for a long while.
Eventually, the intimate moment passed into something quieter and more peaceful, and the grass beneath them became flattened.
Then something strange happened.
A dark mark suddenly appeared on Sora’s chest.
The mark shimmered.
Slowly, it transformed into the image of a tiny Black Bear.
At almost the same time, a small golden flower appeared on Damien’s chest.
It emitted a faint golden glow.
Sora stared at it.
Her eyes widened slightly.
So this was a Contract Totem.
Lucas and the others had already formed Contract Totems with the Original Owner.
However, Sora had never possessed any memories related to those Contracts.
Perhaps it was because those Beastmen had never truly formed a physical bond with the Original Owner.
Whatever the reason, the memories simply did not exist in Sora’s mind.
Only after forming a Contract with Damien did she finally witness what a Contract in the Beast World truly meant.
When a Female formed a Contract with a Beast Husband, the two parties would each develop a corresponding Totem.
The Totem would appear on their chests.
Sora stared at the small golden flower on her chest.
She had expected her Totem to be some kind of animal.
Perhaps a small Female Wolf.
Perhaps something connected to her abilities.
She had never imagined that her Totem would be a flower.
A golden flower.
Sora carefully touched it.
It gave off a faint warmth.
Meanwhile, Damien stared at the golden mark that had appeared on his chest.
He studied it for a long time.
Then he concealed it.
Sora immediately noticed.
Her eyes narrowed.
"So it can be hidden?"
Damien nodded.
Sora finally understood.
No wonder she had never noticed Totems on the bodies of the other Beastmen.
If they could conceal their marks, then there was no reason for her to see them unless they deliberately revealed them.
Damien looked at Sora.
A satisfied smile appeared on his face.
"Now you can’t leave me."
Sora looked at him.
She had already expected Damien to say something like that.
She did not answer immediately.
Instead, she lowered her eyes and looked at the golden flower on her chest.
The Contract was now complete.
There was no taking it back.
After all, she had agreed to it herself.
However, another thought remained in the back of her mind.
She had been slightly worried that once the Contract was complete, Damien would immediately bring up taking her to Red Mountain to meet his Black Bear Foster Mother.
That was something Sora still did not want to deal with.
But Damien remained silent.
He did not mention Red Mountain.
He did not mention his Foster Mother.
He simply stayed beside Sora.
Seeing that he was not bringing up the matter, Sora decided not to mention it either.
Let’s delay it for now.
She could only take things one step at a time.
The two of them remained lying in the grass for quite some time.
The wind passed gently through the valley.
The distant sounds of the Tribe carried faintly through the air.
Eventually, Sora fell asleep.
It was only after she woke that Damien carefully helped her leave the secluded area and return toward the others.
Meanwhile, far away from them, the Priest suddenly sensed something.
His expression changed.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
Then excitement filled his face.
The Red Phoenix Star belonging to his Young Master had moved.
The Priest was so overwhelmed that tears almost spilled from his eyes.
It had not been easy.
For so long, his Young Master had caused trouble for everyone around him.
He had worried them constantly.
He had refused to settle down.
He had stubbornly pursued the person he wanted.
And now...
His Young Master had finally formed a Contract Totem.
The Priest wiped his eyes.
It was finally over.
His Young Master would finally stop bothering them.
At last, they could breathe peacefully.
The Priest looked toward the sky, feeling deeply emotional.
It seemed that randomly pointing out a Daughter of Destiny had actually been quite effective.
Who would have thought that such a seemingly casual decision would eventually lead to his Young Master finally forming a Contract Totem?
For the first time in a long while, the Priest felt that perhaps the future would finally become peaceful.
Little did he know that the moment the Contract was formed, a completely different kind of trouble had already begun.
