Fate-Defying Demon Emperor
Chapter 975: Red Moon City
Red Moon City, named after the ability to see a red moon when looking up here, has several explanations, yet none truly uncover the mystery.
Unlike the crude small towns Su Han had seen before, Red Moon City appeared much more normal, with thick walls on all sides and a city protection formation— a superior grade holy formation, evidently showcasing strong defenses.
The architecture within Red Moon City was also more refined, boasting tall buildings, palaces, streets, and marketplaces, almost indistinguishable from great cities outside Prison State.
However, entering Red Moon City was not so easy; every entrant had to first register and then pay a fee of ten thousand spirit stones.
Indeed, the rulers of Red Moon City hail from Hell, and these spirit stones are the assets of Hell.
Su Han didn’t waste time on such trivial matters. After registering under Su Han’s name, he paid ten thousand spirit stones as the entry fee.
The population in Red Moon City reached eight million, with countless entry fees collected from various places daily, making it a significant source of income. The most outrageous part is, once you leave the city, you must pay spirit stones again to reenter.
"Master, the lord of Red Moon City is Night Wolf Demon Saint, a demon wolf who attained sainthood, not of the human race, possessing Saint Realm Third Layer power, commanding an army of Hell numbering around ten thousand!"
Du Yao transmitted divine sense, introducing some situations inside Red Moon City to Su Han.
The lords of the ten major cities are all Saint Realm experts, plus an army of ten thousand, capable of intimidating the surrounding petty beings.
Yet this indirectly proves Hell’s might; every great city rivals a holy land, and the force within the entire Hell will undoubtedly be more astonishing.
"Red moon!"
Su Han looked up; although it was daytime, he could still see a red silhouette. If it were nighttime, a red moon would be visible.
This moon also wanes and waxes, differing from normal ones only in the fact that it appears red here, and it drives people mad during full moon nights, but otherwise holds no special qualities.
"Nine Heavens Eye!"
Su Han activated Nine Heavens Eye, intending to inspect this red moon.
Earlier, he hadn’t noticed anything amiss in Prison State, but looking at the red moon’s silhouette now, he discerned something unusual.
The red wasn’t ordinary red but blood-red, seemingly freshly spilled, as if dyed with fresh blood.
Swish!
The red moon’s silhouette suddenly glanced at Su Han.
Indeed, it glanced at Su Han, like a supreme deity or demon gazing down at an ant.
Instantly, Su Han’s vision turned blood red; the red was so vivid, it felt like being submerged in a sea of blood, making escape impossible for Su Han.
Blood covered the sky, and Su Han had nowhere to flee, even his breathing grew faint, as if drowning, nearing suffocation and demise, feeling his life force ebbing, body growing cold, as if on the verge of dying.
Whoosh!
At that moment, a chilling sensation from his finger dispelled the blood red, restoring clarity to Su Han’s sight.
"Huff, huff!"
Su Han gasped for air, face pale, sweat soaking his clothes, legs weak, barely able to stand.
"Master, what happened to you?"
Du Yao looked surprised, quickly expressing concern.
Though she stood beside Su Han, she noticed nothing unusual; Su Han merely glanced at the sky and then froze, before turning into this state.
Du Yao didn’t know what Su Han experienced, nor what happened to him, but she knew of Su Han’s prowess; how could he become so weak all of a sudden?
Su Han ignored Du Yao, swiftly employing Secret of Healer to recover himself.
Despite this, a faint layer of blood red persisted in his vision, unshakable, seemingly ingrained in his eyes.
"This isn’t a red moon, but an eye!"
Su Han’s mood was heavy, grasping the truth of the red moon.
He didn’t know whose eye it was or why it manifested as a red moon here, but for it to nearly kill him with a glance, it was no ordinary power, even a Great Emperor couldn’t achieve this.
Only a legendary deity or demon could!
"It seems the legend Du Yao mentioned isn’t false; maybe within Prison State, a deity or demon is truly suppressed!"
Grasping the truth of the red moon made Su Han increasingly believe Du Yao’s legends weren’t fabrications; otherwise, the dilapidation of Prison State and the phenomenon of this red moon couldn’t be explained.
Yet, Su Han couldn’t ascertain whether what’s suppressed is deity or demon?
Also, is this deity or demon alive or deceased?
"Luckily, there was the Bronze Ring this time, otherwise I might really drown in the blood red world!"
Su Han glanced at the Bronze Ring on his finger, sensing that chilling force indeed emanated from the Bronze Ring.
This was Su Han’s greatest trump card!
Even if there’s truly a suppressed deity or demon within Prison State, Su Han’s Bronze Ring originated from the Cruel Demon Emperor.
With three thousand deities and demons imprisoned within Prison Divine Palace, the power of the Cruel Demon Emperor surely surpasses average deities and demons, thus this red moon might be strong, but it couldn’t contend against the Bronze Ring.
"Red Moon City harbors a blood-red deity or demon eye, what about other great cities, do they contain special presence too, could the deity or demon be suppressed across various Prison State locations?"
Su Han rapidly expanded his thoughts, pondering other great cities; within Prison State, there are ten great cities, these obviously weren’t built randomly, Hell has plotted here for years, likely having discovered some unique revelations.
"Hell, black market, King Yama, Ning Feifan, suppressed deity or demon — the secrets within Prison State are more than I imagined, it seems the world underestimated this Daozhou!"
A multitude of mysteries lay before Su Han, not fostering fear but spawning a subtle anticipation.
Prison State, a Daozhou people keep their distance from, might not be as chaotic as it appears on the surface, its depths are profound and might involve secrets of deities and demons.
No wonder such a diminutive Prison State could attract two Great Emperors here, and though other Great Emperor Realm experts didn’t choose to reside, they likely all have a trace of heart spirit paying attention.
Though in this top-tier secret realm, ordinary martial artists can’t intervene, for a single misstep may lead to death and soul vanishment.
But given Su Han’s strength, he barely touched the threshold; Su Han also had a hypothesis.
"King Yama deliberately lured me here, perhaps not solely for Ning Feifan, his real aim should be the deity or demon suppressed here!"
Su Han had never figured out King Yama’s intentions, but now he glimpsed a bit of the truth.
Ning Feifan was merely bait, intended to lure Su Han to Prison State; what could truly capture King Yama’s attention is the deity or demon suppressed here.
Yet Su Han didn’t understand why King Yama thought he had any connection with this deity or demon?
It’s indeed growing more and more intriguing!
