Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2485: There Is No Good End for a Mistress
"That depends on whether you have the ability or not." Erin Janus bore a trace of an ingratiating smile on her face, "He used to have some prejudice against me, even had some opinions, but couples who go through the grind together tend to last long. See, we already have the fruit of our love. A woman like you, I wouldn’t care much about, but because of your past deeds, every time I see you in the future, I’ll curse you. Otherwise, I won’t feel satisfied."
"The upbringing of a Janus Family’s daughter seems only to be so."
"You were the one who sabotaged others’ relationships first, scolding you is already respecting you."
"Ha." Jasmine Yale sneered, "Then I wish you both a long life together, with children and eternal love, is that okay?"
"Don’t bless me in such a sarcastic tone. Of course, Evan and I can grow old together, happily ever after."
"Then don’t get mad. If you do and lose the baby, who knows if you’ll blame it on me." Jasmine’s expression was cold, like frost.
"Truly vicious." Erin glared at Jasmine, "But I get it, your poor child’s real father is dead, alas, how pitiful."
"You shouldn’t stay out here in the wind, better hurry into your husband’s arms. In this cold weather, aren’t you afraid of losing the baby?"
"Shouldn’t I thank you for the kind reminder? Ha, a weasel wishing a chicken a Happy New Year, who knows what you’re planning."
"Chicken? Quite self-aware." Jasmine’s face was indifferent, her expression cool.
She was somewhat drunk and didn’t want to spar with Erin anymore, feeling a bit tired.
"Jasmine Yale, I like seeing you in this miserable state. It gives me a sense of achievement. Being a homewrecker won’t lead to a good outcome, that’s the basic principle of being human." Erin stood on a high ground condescendingly, raising her chin.
Jasmine glanced at her sidelong, indifferently turning her head toward the bustling street.
Perhaps she was too focused on the view before her, or maybe she was too distracted, so much so that when footsteps stopped behind her, she didn’t notice.
"It’s so cold outside, why not wait inside." A gentle, low voice sounded.
Jasmine’s heart quivered, turning around.
It was Will Caddel.
He wasn’t wearing a suit, clad instead in a casual dark gray long coat, with a maroon scarf around his neck.
Under the night sky, his tall figure was elongated by the streetlamp, solitary, upright and slender.
"CEO Caddel." Jasmine looked up, pulled back her surprised gaze, and greeted him.
"My car is parked just up ahead, you can ride with me."
"I... I was going with Manager Quinto and the others to the KTV."
"I know." Will nodded, "They called me over late at night too, I have to go."
"You’re going too?" Jasmine was quite surprised, "You like places like KTV?"
Will smiled, "If I only did things based on my preferences, that would be too indulgent. I haven’t reached that level of freedom yet."
Jasmine chuckled.
Indeed, sometimes, the higher the position, the less freedom one has.
It’s not just about looking impressive; it’s about actually being impressive.
"Get in my car, we’ll go together."
"Thank you, CEO Caddel."
"Thank me for what."
Will pointed ahead.
Jasmine saw his Bentley parked not far ahead.
Before she could take a step, Will had already unwrapped his coat and draped it over her: "Wrap up, it’s very cold late at night."
Will was very gentlemanly and elegant.
Jasmine grasped his coat.
