Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2493: Loving This Ordinary and Bustling World
At eight or nine o’clock, Jasmine Yale moved slightly, murmuring "Little Clementine," and grasped Will Caddel’s arm with both hands.
Will Caddel woke up and opened his eyes.
In that instant, Jasmine also awoke, drowsily lifting her head, meeting Will’s eyes.
She was initially bewildered from just waking up, then released her hands, her face half-red: "Sorry, CEO Caddel, I fell asleep..."
"It’s okay, you can sleep a bit more."
"Did I waste your time? How did I fall asleep?" Jasmine felt somewhat guilty.
"Do you want me to walk you upstairs? Cars can’t get into your community."
Jasmine shook her head: "I can go back on my own."
"Is there any discomfort? You drank quite a bit last night, do you have a headache?"
"It’s okay, I can handle it."
"That’s good, go back, and get some more sleep, staying up all night is harmful."
"Thank you, CEO Caddel, I had a great time last night, thank you for bringing me back."
Will Caddel slightly curled his lips but said no more.
Jasmine fastened her scarf, tidied her hair, then opened the car door to bid farewell to Will.
The sun shone on her face, making her somewhat dazed. With a dizzy look in her eyes and unsteady steps, she supported herself against the wall in high heels as she walked forward.
The "click-clack" sound echoed on the road, the cold wind blew against her face, and the slightly dazed Jasmine followed the road, walking continuously.
The sunshine was excellent.
Halfway there, she looked up, squinting at the brilliant, dazzling sunlight.
She stretched out her palm, facing it towards the sun.
The sunlight spread along the lines of her palm like a gentle stream, leisurely and calm.
Her palm suddenly felt very warm.
This gesture made Jasmine feel ecstatic inside.
She loved warmth, loved this ordinary yet lively worldly life.
She stood with her palm raised in the sunlight for a long time.
It wasn’t until some time later that she turned around, went upstairs, and returned home.
Little Clementine was asleep. Jasmine took a shower, then bent down to kiss her daughter.
The little one in the crib looked cute and delicate like jade, Jasmine tucked her little hand back under the quilt, and finally felt at ease to climb into her bed for a nap.
She slept very comfortably and soundly, as if she hadn’t slept so steadily and peacefully for a long time.
Butler Santana did not disturb her, and when Little Clementine woke up, he quietly took her away without waking Jasmine.
Butler Santana sat on the sofa with Little Clementine in his arms, watching TV.
The little one held a small bunny in her arms, playing happily.
Jasmine slept for most of the day.
She didn’t wake up until two or three in the afternoon.
Tying up her hair, she walked out of the bedroom in her thick pajamas.
Little Clementine was sitting in her stroller, playing by herself.
Jasmine walked over with a smile, picking her up from the stroller: "Little Clementine, did you miss mommy? Mommy missed you."
Butler Santana tidied up the table beside her: "Miss Yale, Little Clementine is very well-behaved. She doesn’t cry much now and likes to play by herself."
"There are many children in the community; I can take her out to play with other babies."
"Yes, but she likes to bully other kids and snatch their toys."
"Really? Naughty, that’s not okay, we should be friendly with our friends." Jasmine pinched her little hand.
"Miss Yale, is work tiring? Don’t work too hard, Little Clementine is easy to care for and isn’t costly."
"The new job is quite good, I like it, and my colleagues and boss are all nice."
