Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2544: Gave Birth to a Silly Girl
Walking halfway, Jasmine Yale playfully teased Little Clementine while holding her, "Little Devil, do you want a daddy? Someone to hold you and play with you?"
Little Clementine laughed carelessly, her big eyes clear and bright, and her little paws kept scratching her head.
"What kind of daddy do you want? One who buys you toys, new clothes?" Jasmine Yale’s voice was especially gentle, her brows and eyes filled with smiles, "Little Clementine is so cute, someone must treat Little Clementine well, right?"
Of course, Little Clementine didn’t understand and just laughed foolishly.
Jasmine Yale laughed along, "Gave birth to a silly girl."
Jasmine adored Little Clementine, kissed her, and felt a warm happiness inside.
"Miss Yale, the other day Aunt Undine from the 15th floor said her nephew just got divorced, no kids, works as a deputy director at a software company, quite good-looking, good job, just thirty years old, want to meet him?"
"Huh?" Jasmine Yale was a bit surprised.
"If you’re interested, you could meet him for tea over the weekend. Her nephew lives not far from here, you can decide the time and place."
Jasmine hesitated, looking at her daughter in her arms.
Little Clementine’s big eyes were innocent and clear.
She nodded, "Okay, Saturday, at the café just outside our community."
"Alright, alright, I’ll let Aunt Undine know," Butler Santana seemed quite pleased, "Her nephew’s quite decent, he doesn’t mind that the woman has a child."
"That’s good then, as long as he treats Little Clementine well." Jasmine looked at the little one in her arms.
The little one laughed happily, without knowing what about.
Jasmine pinched her little face and kissed her affectionately, "Silly girl."
Fireflies flitted about in mid-air, not many, but still quite beautiful, flickering like stars.
Jasmine felt great, every moment spent with Little Clementine was full of joy.
Little Clementine was quite fixated on lollipops; seeing a little boy holding one, she just stared and reached out for it.
Even as Jasmine carried her away, she kept staring at it.
The summer evening breeze was light and comfortable, not at all stifling, with a unique fragrance.
...
On Saturday, Jasmine Yale showed up at the café on time.
She rested her head on her hand, gazing at the beautiful yellow roses on the table, her expression somewhat distracted.
Yellow roses... she had received a large bouquet of yellow roses once, they represented forgiveness and apologies. She’s always been soft-hearted; a bouquet of flowers could dissolve the scars etched in her heart.
Yet suddenly, one day, new scars were added to the old ones, and the yellow roses withered too. She just couldn’t bring herself to forgive anymore.
Her thoughts drifted; she remembered her birthday was approaching.
Last year’s birthday, she almost lost Little Clementine.
Thinking of this, her heart felt as though it was cut open, reopening an old wound, throbbing with a dull pain.
Although Little Clementine was now healthy, lively, and adorable, she still couldn’t shake off the panic, fear, and pain from almost losing her.
The yellow roses on the table were vibrant, and Jasmine Yale kept staring at the petals, her gaze somewhat distant and blurred.
She hadn’t had a happy birthday in a long time, but starting this year, things were different; she had Little Clementine.
Jasmine quietly looked at the roses on the table, her thoughts wandering aimlessly, until a man wearing a dark blue shirt stood beside her.
"Hello, are you Miss Jasmine Yale? I’m Justin Usama."
