Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2553: Little Clementine, You Naughty Girl

  • Next Chapter

Who would have thought Little Clementine would throw a tantrum, refusing even her cherished Dingdang cat, and just wouldn’t take it.

"Being naughty." Jasmine Yale helplessly said, "Mr. Usama, I’m sorry, she’s like this sometimes. She’s small, but her temper isn’t, and she’s quite difficult to coax. She throws tantrums at me at home too; no idea who taught her these bad habits."

"It’s my fault for coming over on a whim today without bringing gifts." Justin Usama looked at Little Clementine, "Little Clementine is much cuter than most kids, very interesting. Kids being a bit moody is normal."

"I’ve spoiled her, my fault for pampering her too much."

"She’s a precious daughter, who else would you spoil if not her? If it were me, I’d spoil her too." Justin Usama laughed, "Strangers become friends after the first meeting. Next time I come over, I’m sure she’ll be familiar with me."

"Yeah, there’s nothing we can do today; look at her crying like this." Jasmine looked down at her daughter in her arms, comforting her non-stop, "Alright, stop crying."

Little Clementine cried fiercely, refusing to listen, leaning against Jasmine’s chest, burying her little head into Jasmine’s shirt.

"Let’s go upstairs; it’s hot downstairs today. The temperature is high. It’ll be much better by autumn next month. When the weather cools down, I’ll take you hiking, picnicking, and for an outdoor barbecue. It’ll be a lot of fun."

"I’ll take this naughty little one upstairs first; she’s been very disobedient today."

Little Clementine was still crying in Jasmine’s arms, but her cries were much quieter. Jasmine handed her the Dingdang cat, and she took it back.

"I think, the next time I see Little Clementine, she’ll definitely be familiar with me." Justin Usama laughed.

Jasmine waved goodbye to him and slowly carried Little Clementine away from the hallway.

Little Clementine started shaking her Dingdang cat again, and the bell on the cat’s neck kept jingling.

The little one kept shaking it, looking very playful.

"Little Clementine, you naughty little thing, Mommy doesn’t like you anymore. How can you be so shy? Crying as soon as you see a stranger." Jasmine comforted her while waiting for the elevator, "This isn’t good."

The elevator arrived, and Jasmine carried Little Clementine upstairs.

Little Clementine had calmed down, ignoring Jasmine, focusing only on her toy.

Jasmine felt helpless, as if playing music to a bull.

"Next time Uncle Usama comes over, you better not cry again; you need to be more friendly. How did Mommy teach you? Be friendly to people, got it?"

Little Clementine didn’t understand a word of what Jasmine was saying, concentrating on playing by herself.

Jasmine felt even more helpless.

How much can you reason with a little one just a few months old!

Jasmine carried Little Clementine upstairs. Little Clementine stopped crying and started gnawing on her Dingdang cat.

"Little glutton, why do you want to eat everything you see? Next time, if Uncle Usama brings you something tasty, will you like him and let him hold you?"

Little Clementine sat on Jasmine’s lap, happily playing, already forgetting the earlier crying scene downstairs.

It was Sunday, and without work to handle, Jasmine wandered around the house with Little Clementine. As night fell, Little Clementine grew tired from playing, so she gently placed her in the crib.

Night descended, streetlights lit up, and the whole city was once again enveloped in the twinkling lights.

Justin Usama called her after returning home; Justin was usually more proactive, while Jasmine was relatively more passive, but she was already making efforts to learn how to interact with others.
