Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2656: Want Me to Be a Cheap Dad?

  • Next Chapter

Jasmine Yale was too lazy to explain; if they were actually dating, she could explain to him slowly. The key point is, they’re still trying to get along.

Besides, Justin Usama’s actions made her very embarrassed.

Sylvan Cheney held Justin Usama’s wrist, his eyes sharp: "It seems that you don’t like her that much."

"I finally see her true colors. She can actually have two men wrapped around her finger, saying she’s alone when she calls me. Ha, alone? If I hadn’t seen this man multiple times, I might have really believed your nonsense! You probably haven’t broken up at all, right? Just treating me like a fool, wanting me to be a cheap dad?"

"What reason does she have to fool you, huh?" Sylvan Cheney tightened his grip.

"When she started dating me, she had nothing. I bought a lot of gifts for her daughter. Naturally, she was drawn to my money and job, and my clean family background. I was really stupid, thinking she genuinely liked me. If I hadn’t found out, I guess she would still be using my money to subsidize you, right?"

Sylvan Cheney sneered: "Subsidize me? You think I’m poor?"

"If you weren’t poor, she wouldn’t have dumped you!" Justin Usama noted that he looked good; if it weren’t for being poor, why would they break up?

"Justin Usama, are you out of your mind! Did you drink?" Jasmine Yale was speechless, "I’ll say it again, I have nothing to do with him. Of course, I have nothing to do with you either! You don’t need to stand on the moral high ground to criticize me; what you’ve just done is far from gentlemanly!"

Jasmine Yale wasn’t good at quarreling with people, and she feared scaring Little Clementine.

Little Clementine seemed a bit frightened, anxiously moving around in Jasmine Yale’s arms.

But Justin Usama was not willing to let it go: "Jasmine Yale, no matter what, we’ve been dating for so long. Don’t you intend to give me an explanation? Are you with him? Have you secretly met him? Have you contacted him behind my back?"

Justin Usama threw out several questions in one breath.

Before Jasmine Yale could answer, Sylvan Cheney said coldly: "I’ll answer you, listen, since you’re not her boyfriend, she doesn’t need to explain to you who she’s with or what she’s done, got it? Don’t talk to her in that questioning tone; it makes me uncomfortable!"

"Justin Usama, I’ve said, we were just trying to get along. But now, I don’t think there’s a need to continue. I’m quite disappointed in you; we don’t even need to be friends in the future." Jasmine Yale said calmly.

"You’re disappointed in me? A woman like you, fickle and greedy, if you don’t have a thing with this man, I’ll change my last name!"

"We have nothing between us; believe it if you want, or not if you don’t. I won’t waste time explaining to you."

Jasmine Yale was already in a bad mood today, and now, she’s even less inclined to explain to him.

There’s no need to explain either.

They’re fundamentally unrelated.

Maybe it’s because she hadn’t checked the calendar before going out these days, Jasmine Yale felt utterly unlucky.

"How can there be a woman like you? Aren’t you afraid your daughter will learn bad things from you? Are you always juggling multiple men? Am I just one of your victims?"

"Justin Usama, can you stop spewing nonsense? You’re the victim? I’m the victim here! If I had known you were this kind of person, I wouldn’t even want to meet you!" Jasmine Yale was very angry.
