Chapter 2858: Let Me Peel It for You

After a morning of hustling, the two of them finally organized everything, hauled their luggage, and took a car to the airport.

They arrived just on time for their flight, and not long after they got there, they boarded the plane.

Li Mingxi didn’t dare sit in first class because there were too many acquaintances.

They were seated in economy class.

Li Mingxi also wore sunglasses, afraid that someone might recognize her.

Xiao Lang cooperated and wore sunglasses as well.

As soon as she got on the plane, Li Mingxi picked up a newspaper to read, using it to block her face.

Xiao Lang glanced at her amusingly, "So scared of being seen?"

"I don’t know what you’re talking about!" Li Mingxi certainly wouldn’t admit, Xiao Lang, in a good mood, didn’t continue to argue with her.

After a few hours on the plane, they arrived at H City airport.

Xiao Lang had already arranged accommodations at a five-star hotel, and the hotel even sent a car to pick them up.

Arriving at the hotel by car, Li Mingxi wanted to have a grand meal.

Xiao Lang changed into a set of casual clothes and took her to a private room in the hotel to eat.

Li Mingxi loved eating prawns. Not only were they tender and delicious, but most importantly, easy to peel.

Once the prawns arrived, she put on disposable gloves and started peeling and eating them.

Xiao Lang moved the plate over to him, "You eat something else first, I’ll peel them for you."

With someone willing to be free labor, she didn’t refuse.

Xiao Lang quickly finished peeling the shrimp, a whole plate, definitely more than enough for Li Mingxi to enjoy.

"Is it delicious?" Xiao Lang asked with a smile.

Li Mingxi picked one up with her chopsticks, dipped it in sauce, and fed it to him.

Xiao Lang, somewhat flattered, opened his mouth and ate, "It’s indeed delicious."

Li Mingxi glanced at him amusingly, "Hurry up and eat, I want to go to the night market later."

"Okay."

Just as they were eating, Xiao Lang’s phone suddenly rang.

He took out his phone, saw that Wen Ning was calling, and his brows slightly furrowed.

Putting away his phone, he didn’t answer.

Li Mingxi asked curiously, "Why didn’t you answer?"

"It’s Wen Ning calling, I don’t really want to answer."

However, the good education he received from a young age wouldn’t let him behave impolitely.

When Wen Ning called a second time, Xiao Lang had no choice but to answer.

"Brother Xiao, when will you be home today? I’m planning to try and make our Langming’s signature dish, and I wanted you to help taste it," Wen Ning asked expectantly on the other end.

Xiao Lang responded indifferently, "I’m currently with a friend, probably won’t be home today."

"Okay, then I won’t make it today, I’ll make it for you tomorrow. You go ahead, I won’t disturb you any further. Goodbye." Wen Ning wisely hung up, not giving Xiao Lang a chance to say anything else.

After storing away the phone, Xiao Lang noticed Li Mingxi was watching him.

He quickly explained, "I truly have no thoughts toward her."

Li Mingxi didn’t get jealous or angry, she merely sighed, "She seems to like you a lot. The kind of like that’s quite intense."

Xiao Lang frowned, "I won’t like her! In this lifetime, I won’t fall for any other woman, except for you..."

Li Mingxi slightly lowered her eyes and didn’t say more.

Xiao Lang only loves her, and that makes her happy.

But it also makes her sad; she doesn’t want him to love her so much because it would harm him.

"Try this." Xiao Lang picked up another dish and placed it in her bowl, diverting her attention.

After the meal, they were ready to go out and have some fun.

Xiao Lang brought a small camera, planning to take lots of photos of Li Mingxi.

They took a taxi to the most bustling street in H City.
