Fated to My Billionaire Husband
Chapter 2911: Not a Single Fish Left
"Mom, Dad already caught five fish!"
Li Mingxi glanced at their bucket, which had only one fish, swimming alone.
Li Mingxi gritted her teeth, wondering why people could be so different.
Xiao Lang asked Xinxin calmly, "Xinxin, what kind of fish do you like to eat?"
Xinxin looked up and answered seriously, "I like braised fish."
"Alright, let your mom make braised fish for you tonight, okay?"
Xinxin remembered that she and Li Mingxi were on the same team, so she smiled and said nothing.
Li Mingxi beckoned to her, "Sweetie, come here."
Xinxin trotted over, "Mom, what’s up?"
Li Mingxi whispered a few words in her ear.
Xinxin nodded mischievously, "Okay, I got it."
Li Mingxi kissed her, offering encouragement!
Xiao Lang didn’t know what they were talking about, but he had a feeling it concerned him, and it wasn’t good.
Xiao Lang kept an eye on them, but Xinxin and Li Mingxi quietly fished, making no moves.
As the time was almost up, Xinxin looked up and asked Li Mingxi, "Mom, why haven’t we caught any fish?"
Li Mingxi replied, "The fish were all attracted by your dad, so we naturally don’t have any."
Xinxin put down her fishing rod and ran to Xiao Lang, eagerly asking, "Dad, you have so many fish, can you give me one? I haven’t caught any."
"Sure, you can pick one yourself." Xiao Lang was generous.
"Thanks, Dad." Xinxin squatted by the bucket, choosing carefully.
"Dad, I want the biggest one."
"Okay."
"I’ll get the bucket to hold it."
Xinxin ran back, picked up their bucket, and carefully scooped the fish.
She swiftly scooped up several fish with a small net, then ran to Li Mingxi with the bucket.
"Mom, I scooped up all of Dad’s fish!"
Xiao Lang turned around abruptly, finding his bucket empty with not a single fish left.
"Well done!" Li Mingxi laughed heartily, throwing down her fishing rod and hugging the little one.
Xiao Lang looked at them helplessly, "You cheated."
Li Mingxi said proudly, "You didn’t make a rule against cheating. Anyway, we have more fish in our bucket than you, so you lost! Remember to make a few more braised fish tonight."
Xinxin, worried that Xiao Lang might be upset, quickly comforted him, "Dad, I’ll help you with the fish."
Xiao Lang wasn’t upset at all; he actually enjoyed Li Mingxi’s scheming against him.
"No need, Dad can handle it alone, let’s go back and cook the fish."
With fish to eat, Xinxin was very happy, as children seem to love eating fish.
They packed up their things and took only two big fish back, releasing the small ones.
When Xiao Lang went to the kitchen to cook the fish, Li Mingxi took Xinxin outside to play.
The farmhouse was in the suburbs, with beautiful mountains and waters, and good air and scenery.
Li Mingxi and Xinxin were taking selfies when suddenly the sky darkened as thick clouds gathered.
Li Mingxi grabbed Xinxin and ran back, just managing to get inside as the torrential rain poured down.
Xiao Lang quickly rushed out of the kitchen, "Did you get wet?"
"No, we ran fast!" Xinxin said proudly.
Xiao Lang felt much relieved seeing they were fine.
"Get inside, it’s cold outside, don’t catch a cold." He urged them.
The farm owner smiled at Li Mingxi, saying, "Your husband is really considerate."
Li Mingxi didn’t say anything, holding Xinxin as they went inside.
