Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All

Chapter 368-Saving Our Gigi

Theodore:

Ragnar looked incredibly anxious as we drove.

We had Diana’s phone with us, along with several warriors who were tracking the location. And, honestly, none of it looked good.

The signal was coming from the same area where Gigi had disappeared.

Unless she’d vanished somewhere completely different and this was all one massive coincidence, we were heading in the right direction.

Whatever the truth was, we had to hurry.

Then everything went downhill.

We received a call from Rocky’s phone.

At first, I assumed it was Rocky calling to blackmail Diana. Maybe he hadn’t seen the news yet, or perhaps nobody had told him what had happened.

We’d tried to keep everything quiet, but somehow the news had leaked. We’d managed to get it taken down afterward, but by then it was already too late.

We were terrified that Rocky might have seen it.

But the real shock came when we answered the call.

It was Gigi.

Everything suddenly became much worse.

She was crying for help, her voice so soft and terrified that our worst suspicions were immediately confirmed.

She had been abducted.

But knowing she’d fallen into Rocky’s hands made the situation even more dangerous.

We pushed the car even faster.

No matter what it took, we had to reach her.

We had to save Gigi.

"Ragnar, everything is going to be all right," I assured him, glancing toward him.

He sat rigidly in his seat, fists clenched, completely silent.

He looked like he was ready to attack someone at any second.

And I couldn’t blame him.

After hearing Gigi on that call, knowing she’d spent eighteen days with a man who was a predator was terrifying enough on its own.

Finally, the tracking signal led us off the main route and toward a secluded stretch of land.

Then we saw it.

A fucking cabin stood ahead of us.

For a moment, I couldn’t understand how none of us had known it was there. Rocky had been slipping out of our territory, crossing the border, and somehow we’d never noticed.

Maybe the blame belonged to us.

I couldn’t even imagine what Gigi might have endured during those eighteen days.

The car had barely stopped before Ragnar threw the door open and jumped out.

He immediately pulled his gun.

I knew exactly what was going through his head, and I didn’t blame him.

The rest of us got out and followed him toward the cabin, the warriors close behind.

Jaguar had stayed back at the house to look after everyone there, but he remained in constant contact with me over the phone. He was just as worried about Gigi and what might be happening to her.

Ragnar reached the entrance first.

We expected the door to be locked and were prepared to force our way inside, but when Ragnar grabbed the handle, it opened immediately.

Rocky hadn’t even bothered to secure it.

He probably never imagined anyone would find him. He must have thought he was some kind of brilliant criminal.

Ragnar entered first with his gun raised, and we followed closely behind.

The moment we stepped into the living room, he drew in a deep breath.

Toys were scattered everywhere.

Tangled among them was Gigi’s sweater.

My fist clenched.

I swallowed my shock, refusing to let myself gasp.

Then we heard a struggle coming from deeper inside the cabin.

We rushed toward the sound.

The sight waiting for us made me freeze for a second.

Gigi was lying on the floor without any undergarments, and on top of her was none other than Rocky.

Ragnar didn’t hesitate.

He raised his gun.

A single shot rang out.

Rocky was struck in the head from behind.

If Ragnar hadn’t fired, Rocky would have driven the dagger into Gigi.

Then Ragnar fired again and again, all the times at his heart.

As his body went limp, Ragnar rushed forward. Before Rocky could collapse on top of her, Ragnar caught him and dragged his body backward, throwing him aside.

"Gigi!" Ragnar called.

She didn’t respond.

She had already passed out.

The moment I moved closer and saw her properly, I stopped.

Then I immediately stepped back and spread my arms, blocking the warriors behind us.

They understood and turned away.

We needed to cover Gigi first.

Seeing her like that made my heart sink.

I couldn’t believe that a woman from our own home had been put through something so horrific.

Dark purple marks covered her neck.

They were so severe that it looked as though someone hadn’t tried to strangle her just once, but over and over again.

Ragnar immediately took off his coat and covered Gigi with it.

Then he lifted her into his arms and rushed outside toward the car.

My gaze drifted around the room, and my heart nearly stopped.

Everything about the place screamed that something horrible had happened there.

There was only a small bed. No clothes for Gigi, either, except for the torn dress she’d been wearing.

I didn’t need to ask what had happened here.

"Take pictures of everything," I instructed the warriors before stepping away.

I let out a heavy breath.

It was a horrible sight.

The toys scattered around the room had clearly been used, and I could only guess for what purpose.

I needed to get outside.

The moment I stepped into the fresh air, I started breathing heavily, trying to clear my head.

I went over to one of the warriors’ cars and pulled out a small bottle of alcohol.

I needed something to calm my mind before dealing with the investigation, although there wasn’t much left for us to figure out.

What we really needed to know was how many other victims Rocky had.

He had two phones and a laptop.

The laptop was heavily password-protected, so we couldn’t get into it yet.

As for what had happened with Gigi, the pieces seemed obvious enough.

Rocky must have become anxious after hearing about Diana’s death. Gigi had probably seen her chance and used his phone to call someone for help without even realizing the number belonged to Diana.

Then Rocky had caught her.

And once he realized he still had a living victim who could expose everything he’d done, he must have decided he couldn’t let her leave.

That was why he’d tried to kill her too.
