Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All
Chapter 457-I Have A Plan To Steal Her From Everyone
Chapter 457: 457-I Have A Plan To Steal Her From Everyone
Theodore:
Everything was falling apart, and everyone kept making one mistake after another.
I didn’t even know what to think anymore.
Jaguar and I hadn’t been able to confront Verity that night.
How could we, when the sight we’d witnessed had left us completely speechless?
The lips meeting, the warmth of the bodies, it was too much for us to do anything after that.
Neither of us knew what to do.
Embarrassment, guilt, anger, and betrayal had all become tangled together until I couldn’t even make sense of my own emotions.
By morning, Jaguar and I had gone our separate ways.
I’d made my way up to the hills and settled on one of the peaks, wrapping my arms around my knees as I stared at the open sky.
I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do now.
"We should talk to Ragnar," my wolf suggested, but I shook my head.
"Come on, we can’t do this to him. We need to talk to him. He deserves to know that we were there last night," my wolf insisted.
I shook my head again.
"It’s all his fault anyway," I muttered. "The signs were there long before any of this happened. Ragnar hasn’t been honest with us, so I don’t understand why Jaguar and I should keep being honest with him."
"Whatever the case, I think we should talk to him. Or at least speak to Verity," my wolf urged.
The moment he mentioned her name, I slammed my hand against the ground.
"What the hell am I supposed to say to her, huh? That I know she’s having an affair with my brother? That she’s always hanging around him? That my brother and i—"
I trailed off, letting out a frustrated grunt under my breath.
"Then what are you going to do, huh? Stay quiet? Keep waiting? Carry on with your life as though nothing happened? Are you still going to ask Verity which one of you she’s willing to accept? Can you really keep doing this until the whole truth finally comes out?" my wolf challenged.
I knew he wasn’t wrong.
But my wolf and I were both so consumed by anger that I couldn’t think straight anymore.
And that was the problem with us brothers.
There was something wrong with our wolves.
"So, what? Are you planning to leave Verity?" my wolf asked.
I shook my head.
"No. I love her too much. I’m not letting her go. She’s been manipulated. Ragnar must have lured her into his trap," I insisted, scratching my scalp in frustration.
"What are you talking about?" my wolf questioned innocently.
"Don’t you understand? Ragnar is capable of doing something like that. He has the power, and I’m sure he’s used it. Mom was right about him all along. We should never have trusted him. He’s not worthy of anyone’s trust," I grumbled.
I repeatedly struck myself in frustration before letting out an anguished scream.
"Ahhh! I feel like tearing Ragnar into a thousand fucking pieces!" I cried, tears spilling down my cheeks. "But I can’t. I can’t do that because he’s my brother. I love him. I love him so fucking much."
The guilt I’d been carrying was already eating me alive because of the mistake I’d made with Gigi.
I’d been torturing myself over how I would ever look my brother in the eye again.
"I don’t understand how I’m supposed to explain it to him. Whenever I’m alone with Gigi, something happens to me. I forget about the entire world, and I know for a fact that I’m not in love with her. So why does it happen? I don’t fucking understand. It’s like my mind starts working on its own, and suddenly, it feels as though we’re the only two people in the world. But I’ll say it again. I don’t love her!"
I was beginning to feel dizzy, and a terrible headache was making it difficult to think straight.
"And here Ragnar is, openly getting involved with Verity, the woman I love," I continued, clutching my chest as another wave of pain washed over me.
"You know, I even blocked Aster after initially wanting to use her against Jaguar." My voice faltered. "I love my brothers so much."
More tears rolled down my cheeks, and I wiped them away with the back of my hand.
"When I messaged Aster, I felt so fucking guilty about it. I couldn’t bear what I’d done, so I blocked her afterward and decided I wasn’t going to play any more games. I wanted to do the right thing. And yet, all this time, my own brother was playing games with me."
I didn’t know why I was crying so much.
I wasn’t supposed to be sitting here shedding tears. I was supposed to be finding a solution.
"So, what are you going to do now?" my wolf asked.
I sniffled, wiping my damp cheeks with the back of my hand.
"I’m not sharing Verity with anyone. Not Ragnar, not Jaguar. I’ve made up my mind," I declared. "She’s going to be mine and mine alone."
I drew in a shaky breath.
"Jaguar can deal with this however he wants, but I’m done holding myself back. If this is a game, then I’ll play it, too. I’m going to make her mine, even if I have to fall at her feet and beg. I can’t live without her."
Because that was what it all came down to.
The mere thought of losing Verity was enough to drive me out of my mind. I simply couldn’t bear it.
People could call me shameless, spineless, or whatever the fuck they wanted, but I couldn’t bring myself to walk away from her, nor could I stand there and watch her leave me.
That was it.
My mind was made up.
I was going to win her over, even if it meant crossing boundaries I knew were wrong.
"Tell me, what’s the easiest way to make someone completely yours?" I murmured as a smile crept across my lips.
"When she gets pregnant with your child," I answered, clenching my jaw with a low grunt.
