Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All
Chapter 467-He Is Scaring Me Now
Chapter 467: 467-He Is Scaring Me Now
Verity:
My jaw practically hit the floor, while he slept as comfortably as though he owned the place.
I slowly backed out of the room, needing a little fresh air because, apparently, my bedroom was now completely saturated with his scent.
I headed straight to the kitchen to get myself some cold water, only to discover that the one thing I’d had in there, the single carton of milk, was gone.
He’d fucking drunk it all like a thirsty crow.
What the fuck? Was he a snake or something?
With a frustrated sigh, I returned to my bedroom, only to find the bed empty.
He was gone.
You know that feeling when a lizard gets into your house and suddenly disappears? And now you’re left wondering where the damn thing is going to pop up next?
That was exactly what this giant had done.
An entire grown man had somehow vanished.
Then I heard the shower running in the bathroom.
I couldn’t fucking believe it.
I quickly removed my earrings and the rest of my jewelry before approaching my dressing table. But the moment I pulled open the first drawer, I froze.
Everything was gone.
All my belongings had disappeared, and in their place sat his things.
His fucking things.
It was as though every passing second brought another shock I wasn’t prepared for.
I hurriedly dumped my jewelry into the second drawer and was about to leave when the bathroom door suddenly opened.
I stopped halfway to the bedroom door.
"Oh, you’re home?"
He sounded so casual that, for a moment, I genuinely wondered whether I’d walked into the wrong house.
I started to turn around, but the instant I noticed he was shirtless, my gaze shot straight up.
At least he’d put his trousers back on, although his hair was still soaking wet.
"What are you doing here?" I demanded without fully turning toward him.
"How was the office? How was work?"
He ignored my question entirely and approached me as though nothing about this situation was remotely unusual.
His scent reached me before he did.
Then, without warning, his damp lips brushed against my cheek.
I whipped around, pressing my fingers to the spot he’d kissed, and stared at him in disbelief.
He merely looked back at me, a towel draped around his neck with one end hanging over his bare chest while he used the other to dry his hair.
"What?" he asked.
What?
He was behaving as though this was some perfectly ordinary routine between us.
"What are you doing here?" I finally managed.
"Taking a shower." He paused, looking genuinely confused. "Why?"
For God’s sake.
"No, I mean, what are you doing in my house?" I clarified, struggling to understand why I even had to explain the question.
"What?"
He sounded even more confused than before.
And then, right in front of my eyes, he pulled the towel from around his neck, dropped it onto the floor, and casually walked out of the bedroom.
I stood there, my mouth hanging open.
Was this man serious?
I quickly picked up the towel, placed it on the side table, and hurried after him.
"Ragnar, I mean, Boss, I... fuck, whatever!"
I could barely get the words out.
By the time I caught up with him, he was already slipping into his shirt, although apparently buttoning it all the way was too much of an inconvenience.
"You know, that crack where you keep your spare key?" he remarked casually. "Anyone with functioning eyes could find it."
He continued toward the kitchen, only to stop and grunt.
"Give me your phone."
I stared at him.
Surely, I’d heard that wrong.
"Your phone," he repeated slowly, enunciating the words as though I were the one having trouble understanding basic English.
When I still didn’t move, he simply walked past me into the living room and picked up my purse from the sofa.
He unzipped it, retrieved my phone, and unlocked it.
Just like that.
And that was when I realized something even more disturbing.
He knew my passcode.
Of course he fucking did.
He must have watched me enter it during one of our car rides, probably while I was mindlessly scrolling through my phone, convinced he wasn’t paying the slightest attention.
"I’m ordering a few things," he informed me, already navigating through my phone. "Takeout will do for now, but we’ll have to start cooking at home. All that junk you eat isn’t good for your health."
He delivered the entire explanation as though we were discussing the weather, completely ignoring the fact that he’d invaded my house, rearranged my belongings, and apparently decided we were now sharing groceries.
"I... Alpha King Ragnar, where’s my key?" I asked as quietly and respectfully as I could manage.
"Why? You don’t have your key?"
He reached for my purse, which he’d left beside the couch, rummaged through it, and pulled out my key.
"Here it is."
He dropped it back into my purse and returned his attention to the phone.
I forced a smile.
"No, I mean the other key."
"Oh, yeah. I’ve got it. Don’t worry."
I slowly raised both hands in disbelief.
What the actual fuck was happening?
"I would need that key," I murmured, anxiously rubbing my hands together as I walked around the couch and lowered myself onto the armchair opposite him.
He leaned back, placed my phone beside him, and picked up the television remote.
"You have such an old TV," he complained, shaking his head.
"I bought it just a few weeks ago," I muttered.
"Good."
Good?
"Try getting a newer model next time."
And with that, he turned his attention to the television.
I stared at him.
This man was going to be the death of me.
"Ragnar, I really would need my key," I tried again.
This time, he turned toward me with a sharp, almost irritated look.
"What for? I have it. Relax."
He spoke as though I were being deliberately unreasonable.
"There’s no point leaving it outside anymore. You’ve got your key, I’ve got mine. Problem solved."
I grabbed fistfuls of my hair and stared at him, utterly speechless.
