Fierce Horror Dorm: Take a Concubine to Get Stronger

Chapter 776: A Gathering of Floor Leaders, New and Old Leaders Clash

  • Next Chapter

After the thirty Floor Leaders were granted Office Tokens, they left Demon King Castle together.

Once outside, Old Man Fulu breathed in the air beyond, filled with disorientation, irritability, and a tinge of madness. A chill ran through him, and his mind seemed to clear completely.

Moonlight poured down like a soft veil of blood, spread across the spacious corridor.

The Floor Leaders looked at one another. Some left on their own, while others called out to people and set off together.

Old Man Fulu stroked his white beard and discreetly glanced at Mary and Miaoying behind him.

Mary was smiling, but gave no indication of what she thought.

Miaoying’s tail swished back and forth. She, too, showed no reaction.

Whether the Floor Leaders stood united or not seemed to have nothing to do with them. They were only there to see everyone off.

As if she had noticed him peeking, Mary smiled and said, “Floor Leaders, the information on the players on your respective floors will be sent to you later.”

Old Man Fulu quickly put on a smile and cupped his hands. “Thank you, Miss Mary!”

The others also thanked Mary when they heard this.

“Thank you for your trouble, Miss Mary!”

“Miss Mary, we won’t keep you any longer!”

“Haha, Miss Mary, you’ve thought of everything!”

“…”

After thanking her, Old Man Fulu turned and disappeared into the crowd.

“That prospective Floor Leader died as soon as he entered Demon King Castle. He must really have been hiding something!”

“Given Xu Lang and his retainers’ way of doing things, they wouldn’t stoop to lying!”

“That’s because they’ve never considered us worth their attention!”

In an instant, Old Man Fulu’s thoughts took a hundred and eighty turns. In the end, he did not leave, but headed toward Li Shuwen instead.

Li Shuwen’s Charm was in the negative. Anyone approaching him would feel waves of fear.

Yet a crowd had gathered around him now, all Floor Leaders who had just come out of Demon King Castle.

Li Shuwen, Wu Huihui, and Zheng Kai were old hands. Even the newly arrived Old Man Fulu had heard of their close ties to Demon King Castle.

Rumor had it that Li Wenwen was also a Concubine Quarters resident at Demon King Castle, though no one had ever dared say so openly.

When they saw the unfamiliar Old Man Fulu approaching, Zheng Kai and the others made room for him.

Old Man Fulu cupped his hands. Moonlight fell on his smooth, bald head, making it gleam.

“Everyone, forgive the intrusion.”

“I’m new here. Although I was fortunate enough to become the Floor Leader of the first floor, I’m still unfamiliar with this place.”

“Would you all care to gather at Fortune and Prosperity Residence? There’s something I’d like to ask you about.”

A young boy with braided pigtails exclaimed, “Oh dear, Master, are you giving your longevity peaches to other people again?!”

Old Man Fulu frowned at the boy, clearly displeased.

“Hahaha, sure! Then let’s go to your dorm and eat peaches!” A man two meters tall, with a broad chest like a double-door refrigerator, strode over.

He wore a suit and carried a briefcase, looking like a powerful and clever big-shot businessman.

This man was none other than the Floor Leader of the ninth floor, the mighty hero Mondo.

Two others were with him: Faceless, the Floor Leader of the eighth floor, and Lin Shi, the Floor Leader of the tenth floor.

Along with Old Man Fulu, all three had moved in after this round of Building Wars ended.

Li Shuwen stepped out of the crowd.

Anyone with even a little perceptiveness could tell the boy was playing along.

It was hard to say whether Mondo was being heedlessly bold, or whether he truly hadn’t seen the deeper meaning.

But it didn’t matter.

All secrets would be revealed in dreams.

Li Shuwen raised his chiseled jaw. Beneath his disheveled hair, his eyes were cold, shadowy, and proud. Whether it came from his outfit’s properties or the power radiating from him, a faint, tar-like aura drifted around his body.

His voice was humble, yet sent a chill through the listeners, echoing in the ears of the new Floor Leaders.

“Going to someone else’s dorm without warning goes against the unspoken rules between players.”

“If we’re going, then let’s go to the cafeteria.”

“I’ll have Huihui prepare food and wine.”

“This time, consider it my treat. I, Li Shuwen, am hosting you all!”

With Sword Saint, Wu Huihui, and Zheng Kai at Li Shuwen’s side, they seemed to form an opposing front against the new Floor Leaders.

When the new Floor Leaders heard Li Shuwen speak, they could barely breathe. Their hearts tightened involuntarily, as if a ferocious beast were stalking them.

Were all these veteran Floor Leaders this terrifying?

Old Man Fulu was the least affected. He laughed and said, “You’re too kind, Floor Leader Li. It would be rude to refuse. Let me go back and make a few arrangements. I’ll be at the banquet within half an hour!”

“Fine,” Li Shuwen replied, then turned and left.

The others followed him.

“Floor Leader Fulu… Li Shuwen, Wu Huihui, and Sword Saint seem to have some connection.”

Lin Shi moved close to Old Man Fulu. His lips didn’t move, but his voice drifted into the latter’s ears.

Wu Huihui was already used to Displayed Appearance. A little black mist drifted between the gaps in her heavy black armor.

Sword Saint kept his aura well concealed, but he could not hide the feeling of fear and revulsion he inspired.

Old Man Fulu’s gaze shifted, and he nodded discreetly.

Inside the elevator, Floating Life Play had already reunited with the subordinates he’d left on the thirtieth floor. Seeing Li Shuwen and the others heading their way, he reached out and pressed the close-door button.

“Boring.”

The elevator doors shut. Floating Life Play’s voice came from within, dripping with mockery.

“Haha, he got rejected! What a riot, folks!” Mondo couldn’t help laughing.

Old Man Fulu, Lin Shi, and the other Floor Leaders immediately backed far away, seemingly hoping to put some distance between themselves and Mondo.

They were fine with a fight, but they didn’t want blood splattering on them!

Sure enough, Li Shuwen’s icy gaze had already turned toward them.

“Weren’t we going to eat?” Mondo strode forward. “I don’t want to wait half an hour. I want to eat right now! Mondo loves eating!”

As he spoke, he rolled his long tongue around, looking delighted.

Several underlings came over and quietly tugged at Mondo’s clothes, but he slapped their hands away.

“Then let’s go together,” Li Shuwen said with a cold, mocking smile.

…

Half an hour later, some of the new and old Floor Leaders headed to the cafeteria, where they witnessed a fight.

Or rather, a one-sided beating.

Li Shuwen beat Mondo for saying something too obnoxious.

What astonished everyone was that no matter how much Mondo was beaten, he simply wouldn’t die. Even with more than a dozen holes punched through his body and half his head knocked off, he could still recover!

What’s more, this recovery didn’t seem to have anything to do with the power of a mysterious domain. It was purely because Mondo’s biological attributes were so strong.

As the fight went on, Mondo’s SAN value plummeted. He actually entered the Madness Domain, and his combat strength surged, causing quite a commotion. In the end, Li Shuwen had to use his Nightmare Apostle ability to force Mondo into a dream before the incident could be brought to an end.

It was a minor incident, but one that left an impression.

It let everyone see the strength of the veteran Floor Leaders, while also showing them that the new Floor Leaders were no pushovers either.

To be honest, after this fight, both the new and old Floor Leaders became wary of one another.

Although Li Shuwen won with ease, he had always held the title of strongest Floor Leader. He was a Sequence Holder in a combat-focused Sequence, had received plenty of resources, and had Li Wenwen assisting him. His battle record was impressive.

As for the new Floor Leaders, Mondo was definitely not the strongest among them. At most, he was the hardest to kill.
