Three years later.

Xinghua Village had expanded to several times its original size, becoming the most famous village in Lin State.

Especially in early summer, the season when the winter wheat ripened, countless people flocked to Xinghua Village just to take in the view. Whenever they saw the wheat in the fields, they were left completely awestruck by the sight.

The wheat fields looked as if the Creator had splashed liquid gold over them, rolling from beneath their feet all the way to the horizon, painting even the distant mountain valleys in a brilliant golden hue. A single breeze would stir up waves that surged forward, layer upon layer, rolling into the distance. The undulating golden waves filled the air with the fresh, sweet scent of new wheat, mingling with the rich earthiness of the soil and lingering persistently at the tip of the nose.

The Beastmen of Xinghua Village had long since taken their sickles to the fields to harvest the wheat. Every household had planted a considerable amount, and they needed to rush the harvest over these few days before heading to the threshing ground.

Although they were busy, everyone felt completely energized.

“This year is yet another bumper harvest.”

“Ever since the new emperor ascended the throne three years ago, the weather has been perfect every year. The crops are growing wonderfully.”

“Absolutely! Favorable weather is a blessing. They say it’s because the new emperor has the protection of the Heavenly Dao that every region enjoys such perfect conditions year after year.”

“Not only that, but the dark aura within the dynasty is completely gone. The wild animals in the mountains will never turn into Mutant Beasts again.”

“Yeah, we can hunt with peace of mind. We can eat as much wild meat as we want without worrying about mutations.”

“Even so, we’ve gotten used to eating the food we grow ourselves.”

“True. Eating what we grow means we don’t have to risk our lives hunting in the deep mountains. We can even store plenty of grain every year—more than a whole family could ever finish.”

“So many people have come to our village to buy crop seeds again.”

“We just follow Miss Qiao’s lead in all these matters. If Miss Qiao hadn’t provided us with these seeds, we wouldn’t have been able to grow such high-yield wheat. Over a thousand pounds per acre!”

“Exactly! If not for Miss Qiao, we wouldn’t even know what kind of food to make with wheat.”

“Now, the shops that opened on the street at the front of our village—like the steamed bun shops, noodle houses, and wonton stalls—are all booming.”

“That’s right. It just feels like Xinghua Village is getting more and more prosperous. Everything is convenient for us, even doing our own shopping.”

Xinghua Village had expanded several times over, and many male beastmen were more than willing to marry the females here. Because living conditions had improved, the environment was safe, and food was abundant, many beast cubs had been born in the village over the past few years. On top of that, many Beastmen had requested to join Xinghua Village. After Qiao Feishuang and the others screened the applicants, they allowed Beastmen with good character to settle in.

The wheat, peanuts, corn, and vegetables grown in Xinghua Village all had incredibly high yields. Many Beastmen who heard the news traveled from far away to buy seeds and food crops. These were all items that Qiao Suluo had taken out of her spatial domain. Gradually, Beastmen from neighboring areas also began to plant these crops. The truth was, after visiting Xinghua Village and tasting some of the grains and vegetables, they found them exceptionally delicious. Many people even came to learn from the Xinghua Village Beastmen how to grow these crops and vegetables.

Last year, when Qiao Suluo took the children to play deep in the mountains, she accidentally discovered a coal mine. This created yet another business opportunity for Xinghua Village. As a result, a commercial street was built at the very front of the village, lined on both sides with thriving storefronts. Some sold grain, while others sold honeycomb coal briquettes.

Of course, Qiao Suluo also built an inn to accommodate outsiders coming to the area. The reality was that so many Beastmen came to Xinghua Village every year to learn and buy goods that the local households simply couldn’t host them all. Having an inn made it convenient for everyone to stay.

Since the weather was quite hot, Qiao Suluo exchanged for some ingredients from her space and specially made mung bean popsicles to visit the children at the private school. Her children were three years old now and were currently studying at the academy. She brought a lot of popsicles, intending to let the teacher have a taste as well.

Over two years ago, Qin Wushang had arrived in Xinghua Village and became the village’s teacher. He wasn’t the only one; Gu Songlan had also come to Xinghua Village and opened a dedicated medical clinic. It had to be said that the arrival of these two men brought great convenience to the village.

Qin Wushang was highly educated and devoted himself to teaching Da Bao and the others. Even the other children in the village benefited immensely and grew very fond of him. The young females of Xinghua Village even wanted to take Qin Wushang as their Beast Husband, willing to marry him as their one and only male just to have him. But Qin Wushang rejected them all, saying that he already had a female he liked in his heart.

As for Gu Songlan, he still went into the mountains every day to gather herbs. His Medical Skill was truly formidable; Beastmen from other prefecture cities even traveled all the way to his clinic seeking his treatment.
