Mo Xiuchen chuckled, poured himself a glass of water, drank half, then offered it to Wen Ran.

“You mentioned earlier dad’s not feeling well. What’s the matter?”

Mo Xiuchen sensed her concern and tightened his arm around her waist slightly, “Don’t worry, since it’s an old issue, it’s not a major problem. Aside from that, dad’s health is still pretty good.”
“Yeah.”
Wen Ran looked up to meet his gentle gaze, and smiled.
Mo Xiuchen kindly said, “I’ll accompany you back tomorrow morning.”
“You still need to go to work.”
“I’ll take you back first, and then head to work.”
“Alright.”
Wen Ran waited for Mo Xiuchen to finish showering, then they got into bed together.
Just as he laid down on the bed, his phone rang. Seeing the name on the caller ID, Mo Xiuchen chuckled lightly, “Ranran, you go ahead and sleep. It’s a call from Ah Kai.”

Wen Ran didn’t oppose or agree, just wrapped her arms around him.
Mo Xiuchen didn’t get out of bed, leaned on the headboard, and pressed the button to answer, his voice low and gentle, “Ah Kai.”
“You off work?”
“Yes.”
“Want to come out for a drink?”
“It’s so late, who are you drinking with?” Mo Xiuchen checked the time, it was almost midnight.
“With Ah Feng. Ah Jin is at Ah Mu’s home. Come over, I’ll treat you to a drink.”
On the phone, there were indeed the voices of Wen Jin and Luo Feng speaking, though he couldn’t hear Qin Mu, Gu Kai probably wasn’t lying.
Mo Xiuchen looked at Ranran, “No, I just got home, so I won’t go.”

Lazy to expose Gu Kai, perhaps he’s still trying to use Tang Zhixian to make Tang Jinchen give up pursuing Tongtong.
“Come have a couple of drinks, or we’ll head over to your place.”
