Chapter 1337: Chapter 1336: Do You Really Think Maxwell Peary Is That Simple?

Hearing Frederick Goldsmith’s words, Anne Davidson’s face showed a hint of embarrassment.

She hadn’t expected the other side to be so forceful, refusing to let her in.

"This matter is very private and can’t be relayed."

As she spoke, Anne Davidson tried to enter, but Frederick stood firmly in place, unmoving.

"Then you can send a text to the Mrs."

Anne Davidson: ......

"Frederick, are you absolutely determined not to let me in? Is this how you treat guests?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Anne Davidson’s voice suddenly amplified, as if she were deeply wronged.

Frederick, seeing her like this, didn’t respond at all.

"I’m very sorry,"

He was indeed resolved not to let her enter.

"Well, you all, you’re on Nia Mitchell’s side, and to think I was so good to you before, you’re just ungrateful!"

Anne Davidson shouted angrily, her voice magnified many times, akin to a street shrew’s scolding.

Upstairs, Nia Mitchell stood on the balcony, watching the scene below, pouting.

Why did Anne Davidson come here?

Out of curiosity, she stood there listening intently.

"Frederick, how can you treat me like this? Have you forgotten how nice I was to you before? Now I just need to see Nia Mitchell for something, do you think I could eat her or what?"

So ridiculous.

"Besides, last time I came here, I was the one who got hurt, I’m the victim here, do you really need to be this guarded against me?"

Seeing their actions, it was as if she had harmed Nia Mitchell, making her feel utterly sad.

Standing at the door, the sunlight shone on Anne Davidson, exceptionally gentle.

Though cloaked in a layer of divine light, at this moment, Anne Davidson didn’t seem all that holy.

"If you came here with nothing to hide, why can’t I relay your message?"

It must be that what she has to say could harm Nia Mitchell.

Or maybe, she came on purpose.

"Nia Mitchell, don’t hide inside, come out to me!"

Anne Davidson looked up and immediately saw Nia Mitchell on the balcony, and shouted instantly.

Nia Mitchell was taken aback, looking down at Anne Davidson, who was staring up at her.

"Butler, let her in."

Nia Mitchell turned away from the balcony and began to change clothes.

Indeed, she was still in her pajamas; she couldn’t be in her sleepwear every time Anne Davidson came over.

Her knees were still injured, and changing clothes inevitably took more time, so by the time Nia Mitchell came downstairs, Anne Davidson had already finished a cup of coffee.

Looking up at the delayed arrival of Nia Mitchell, Anne Davidson was seething inside.

"What an attitude, making me wait this long for you."

Nia Mitchell wasn’t angered, sitting on the couch and looking at her.

"It’s not like I asked you to come to my house."

You came here of your own will, so you must endure however I treat you.

Anne Davidson’s face changed instantly, looking at Frederick standing at the side.

"Butler, I have something to discuss with your Mrs., so don’t just stand around here."

Frederick: ......

There’s no way Frederick would heed Anne Davidson, still standing there as he was.

"Nia Mitchell, what do you mean by this?"

Instantly, Anne Davidson attributed Frederick’s actions to her.

Nia Mitchell looked at Anne like she was seeing a madwoman, wondering if she had lost her mind.

"Anne, if you have something to say, hurry up and tell me. I have to head out shortly."

Nia Mitchell spoke a bit impatiently.

Hearing this veiled order to leave, Anne Davidson immediately clenched her fists.
