Chapter 1425: Chapter 1424: As Expected, Shopping Is the Best
Anyway, sooner or later she was going to have a baby.
"I don’t know the baby’s gender yet, so I can only pick some slightly unisex clothes for now, okay?"
Fiona Sutton looked at the pink outfit in her hand, totally unimpressed.
Hearing that, Nia Mitchell finally realized this problem.
"But this one is really pretty."
She couldn’t bear to put it back.
"Then you buy it for yourself."
Fiona teased her with a smile.
Fine, I’ll buy it!
So the two of them kept picking.
Maybe because it was their first time choosing kids’ clothes, and it was also the first store they’d gone into, they shopped here for almost an hour, taking out every single piece to look at it.
Just when the Salesperson was about to lose it with the two of them, they finally came to the counter with a huge stack of clothes in their arms.
"Checkout!"
Uh...
The Salesperson was stunned. That many clothes?
Oh my god, did these two even know what kind of store this is?
The prices of the clothes here aren’t here to scare people, they’re genuinely expensive!
Just looking at what these two were wearing, even a blind person could tell they couldn’t afford it, okay?
You could barely understand them wanting to give their child the best, but they needed to have that kind of ability first.
"Checkout!"
Fiona had long been annoyed by this group of people. She didn’t need them to welcome her, but at the very least they could move when it was time to pay, okay?
Seeing her like this, the Cashier finally walked over.
Then she scanned the clothes one by one.
"Hello, the total is 386,400."
Nia Mitchell reached into her bag and pulled out a card.
"I’ll pay. Just take this as my first gift for the baby."
Nia grinned, then handed over a black card.
Oh my god!
A black card!
The Cashier was shocked; she had never expected this little girl to take out that kind of card.
You have to know, there aren’t many black cards in this world.
It doesn’t just mean the person is rich; more importantly, it means they have power.
The Cashier swiped the card in astonishment, then asked Nia to sign.
Nia stood there, bending slightly at the waist, a lock of hair hanging down as she gently wrote "Maxwell Peary" on the paper.
That feeling of writing the CEO’s name was honestly kind of subtle.
"Done."
After signing, she handed back the pen along with the slip, then she and Fiona grabbed the bags and turned to leave.
"Hahaha..."
Just as they walked out of that store, Fiona burst out laughing.
"Nia, did you see their faces just now? They were hilarious."
The way they did it was basically the same as a face-slap scene.
Those constipated-looking faces kept Fiona amused for quite a while.
Because both of them were carrying branded shopping bags, when they went to other places, the Salespersons didn’t look down on them.
Like, duh, just look at the logos on those bags in their hands; that place counts as a luxury store.
Could ordinary people casually buy that much?
So these two had to be some rich heiresses, and were probably dressing like this on purpose.
The further they shopped, the happier they got. After finishing up at the last toy store, Nia walked out holding a rattle-drum in her hand.
Right then, Nia’s phone rang.
"Hello?"
Nia’s smile was sweet all over her face.
"What’s that sound?"
Maxwell Peary was taken aback; all he could hear on his end was a rhythmic da-da-da-da.
"A rattle-drum."
Nia stuck out her tongue, and immediately stopped shaking the rattle-drum.
