Maxwell Peary gently laid Rabina Mitchell down and closed the door before undoing her clothes.

“Mm… Uncle…”

Nia Mitchell’s eyes were hazy, lying there as Maxwell Peary caressed her.

“Good girl, it’ll feel better soon.”

Maxwell Peary gently brushed away the strands of hair on Nia Mitchell’s face and then slowly unbuttoned his white shirt.

With a click, the sound of a belt being undone was heard.

Nia Mitchell’s bewildered eyes brightened slightly.

Soon after, that tantalizing heat surged up again, nearly burning away all her rationality.

“Uncle…”

Nia Mitchell reached out, pulling Maxwell Peary over, leaning in and softly kissed him, pressing herself tightly against him.

…

Leon Blackwood’s birthday party—

Silence enveloped the room, just as the nightlife was supposed to begin, the place that should have been lively suddenly quieted.

Everyone held their breath standing there, fearing the wrath of the man ahead would turn on them.

Leon Blackwood wore a grim expression, a threatening aura emanating from him.

“Still, no one’s coming forward?”

Someone dared to use such deplorable tactics in front of him, the drug lord, and it was used on Nia Mitchell no less.

Simply unforgivable!

His twenty-fifth birthday sure was eventful!

“No one’s coming forward, are you forcing me to investigate?”

Leon Blackwood stood there, scanning the crowd.

“Do you really think you can escape my investigation?”

It seemed these people still didn’t understand where his reputation came from.

“If that’s the case, beware the consequences when I find out!”

Saying this, Leon Blackwood turned to leave.

At that moment, a waiter suddenly stumbled forward, his legs giving way.

“No! It was me, I served the juice, but I didn’t put the drug in it.”

The waiter trembled in fear, terrified that the next moment would bring him death.

Hearing someone finally stepped forward, Leon Blackwood paused.

“Who put the drug in?”

His sinister gaze was intimidating, making it impossible to meet directly.

“It was… it was that woman! And her!”

Saying this, the waiter pointed, identifying two women from among the crowd.

Leon Blackwood followed his gaze, those two women instantly shivered.

“We… we didn’t, Mr. Blackwood. We have no grievance with that woman; why would we do such a thing?”

“Yeah, yeah, we don’t even know her name, we have no motive!”

Of course, the two women wouldn’t admit it.

Jokingly, admitting would likely ruin not only themselves but also their families behind them.

The parents who brought the two women to the party also stepped forward, both middle-aged women, dressed in various name brands, with their makeup thick enough to almost fall off.

“Mr. Blackwood, my daughter wouldn’t do such a thing; this waiter is obviously trying to frame someone.”

“Master, you must see clearly, my daughter is part of the Blackwood’s side branch, how could she face guests at your birthday party with such acts?”

It turned out one of these women was part of the Blackwood’s side branch.

The waiter, seeing this scene, appeared ashen.

It’s over; he shouldn’t have gotten involved in this mess. All these ladies had status and power, while he was just a small waiter.

At such a crucial moment, naturally, he was the one sacrificed, a nameless pawn.
