Chapter 1563: Chapter 1578: Even If It Exists, It’s Useless

Although this clover looks ordinary, Mu Xingfeng immediately recognized it as a custom piece from a well-known brand; the connection between the pendant and the chain had the brand’s emblem.

As far as he knew, not just anyone could afford that brand, certainly not an average student.

Mu Xingfeng didn’t think An Ran couldn’t afford it, given that it was worth hundreds of thousands, but he knew she wouldn’t buy such things for herself.

An Ran noticed Mu Xingfeng’s gaze and looked down to see the pendant Lu Yi had given her, still hanging around her neck.

She had just taken it out of the box and put it on without much thought.

"Does this look good? It’s Lu Yi’s wedding gift to me, clover, represents luck. I also feel very lucky to have met you," An Ran waved the pendant in front of Mu Xingfeng and then tucked it back, hugging his waist again.

"It’s not your luck; it’s mine," Mu Xingfeng replied without much emotion, wrapping one arm around her, while his other hand picked up a bag from beside his foot, leading her to a less crowded corner.

"What is it?" An Ran curiously watched him open the bag, seeing something soft pink inside.

Mu Xingfeng looked down and directly took out a long, thick, light pink down jacket. "Put this on," he said, starting to put it on An Ran.

"No need, it’s really not that cold," she said, though it was warmer than she had anticipated.

Mu Xingfeng held the jacket with an expression that suggested she wouldn’t be allowed to leave without wearing it.

Eventually, An Ran gave in, "Alright, alright, I’ll put it on, but I need to take off my current coat first."

An Ran casually took off her woolen coat and borrowed Mu Xingfeng’s hand to put on the down jacket, and truth be told, she immediately felt warm and cozy.

Mu Xingfeng bent down and zipped it for her, then took out a pink knitted hat from the bag, personally putting it on her, followed by a pink scarf and gloves.

An Ran had always known that beneath Mu Xingfeng’s cold exterior lay a heart that adored girly things; otherwise, he wouldn’t be so fond of the color pink.

"Mu Xingfeng, are you unhappy about Lu Yi giving me a gift?"

An Ran let the man wrap her up like a zongzi, looking at him with a blank expression and asked.

From the moment he saw the pendant on her chest, she sensed that his aura had shifted slightly.

"No," despite feeling it quite keenly, Mu Xingfeng denied it.

"Nonsense, it’s obvious from your face," An Ran said, reaching out with her yet-to-be-gloved hand to pinch Mu Xingfeng’s handsome face.

"Lu Yi and I are just classmates. He treats me as a good friend, and he gave me this gift because I’m getting married. Don’t worry, he’s long since lost any romantic interest in me."

An Ran knew that Mu Xingfeng was concerned about Lu Yi because Lu Yi had once confessed his feelings to her.

But she was clearly overthinking it. The current Mu Xingfeng didn’t find a difference between her male classmates who had or hadn’t confessed.

Mu Xingfeng pulled the little hand on his face, put her gloves on, and led her outside, saying as they walked, "Even if he did, it wouldn’t matter."

An Ran, amused by his prideful yet domineering manner, pursed her lips in a secretive smile, not daring to let him notice.

It wasn’t until Mu Xingfeng had tucked her into his Hummer’s passenger seat that she remembered there were two others still with them.

"Zhang Liang and Fang Hui are still behind us," seeing Mu Xingfeng enter the driver’s seat and about to start the car, An Ran couldn’t help but remind him.
