Chapter 1582: Chapter 1597: What’s Up

Xiao Xiao pulled her coat tighter, stepped out of the garage, and looked at the white villa in European style. "Whose house is this? Lin Junyang, don’t tell me you’ve bought a house too?"

She couldn’t think of any other reason.

Lin Junyang shrugged, unconcerned, "Why not? This is the house I just bought. Come on, it’s cold outside."

Xiao Xiao didn’t expect her casual remark to be true.

"Alright, Lin Junyang, you’re actually able to buy a villa. Hey, haven’t you been corrupt?"

Xiao Xiao asked as she walked into the house, eyeing it curiously.

The man’s face turned dark upon hearing Xiao Xiao’s words. He reached out, tapped her forehead, and said, "You silly woman, do you know what you’re saying? What do you mean by corrupt? Is this the image you have of me?"

Xiao Xiao pursed her lips, holding her forehead where she’d been tapped, "Then how do you have the money to buy a villa? Don’t think I don’t know how terrifying the housing prices in the Imperial City are. I probably couldn’t afford an apartment even if I sold myself, let alone a villa."

"Seems you have some self-awareness," Lin Junyang tugged off his coat and threw it aside casually, sitting on the sofa, "Come here."

Lin Junyang beckoned to Xiao Xiao.

Xiao Xiao tossed her backpack to the side and ran over obediently, "What’s up?"

She had a feeling she was about to learn something significant, something big enough to get rich fast and buy a villa.

"Let me see if you’ve made any progress," he said, pulling the woman into his arms with a quick motion.

For Xiao Xiao, the move was completely unexpected, but Lin Junyang had planned it all along.

Since this silly woman left the Imperial City, he often thought of her. After his usual training, his mind used to be filled only with work-related matters, but somehow she had replaced those thoughts.

Thinking about that little woman made his heart feel as sweet as if it were stuffed with honey.

From the moment he knew she was coming to the Imperial City to be An Ran’s bridesmaid, he had been eagerly anticipating seeing her.

Finally seeing her, he didn’t dare to embrace her rashly, but now, they were home, at the home he had prepared for her.

Now she had nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Xiao Xiao hadn’t expected to be so close with the man. She’d previously had no discomfort around him but now felt a bit flustered.

Until Lin Junyang went to the kitchen, Xiao Xiao sat dazedly on the sofa, touched her cheeks, then her forehead, suddenly questioning if she’d woken up too early today, and hadn’t fully slept off the nap on the plane.

She looked around the room again, finding it empty and deserted.

Hmm, it must all be an illusion. How could Lin Junyang suddenly buy a big house? How could he bring her to his place? How could he hug her?

Lin Junyang came out of the kitchen and saw the little woman leaning against the sofa, holding her face with her hands, staring at the ceiling, giggling at who knew what.

Truly a silly one.

"What are you grinning about?" Lin Junyang walked over and flicked her forehead.

Xiao Xiao snapped back to reality, holding her forehead in pain, puffing her cheeks, glaring at the tall man in front of her.

Suddenly, she realized her forehead hurt so much. Wasn’t this a dream?

"Lin Junyang, sit down," Xiao Xiao crooked her finger at him.

Lin Junyang watched her crafty eyes and obediently sat beside her, "What’s up... ouch... what are you doing, you idiot?"

Before Lin Junyang finished his sentence, he felt a sharp pain in his arm, as if she was about to pinch the flesh right off.
