Chapter 149: Chapter 110: Tea Art Master Zeng Anmin
"HISS..."
"AHH..."
"This feeling... why is it so strange?!"
Zeng Anmin’s face flushed red, unable to resist turning his head to look at Sai Chuxue. The continuous, tingling electric current on his back gave his body a wondrous sensation he had never experienced before.
Behind him, Sai Chuxue ignored the strands of hair falling naturally past her temples. Her gaze was fixed intently on his back. One of her fingers traced forward inch by inch, while the pen tip in her other hand flickered with a faint cyan light.
"Don’t move, it will be done in a moment," Sai Chuxue’s somewhat solemn voice rang out.
Outside the door, Qin Shoucheng doubted his own ears. As an experienced man, he could naturally hear the supposed obscenity going on inside the room. However, it seemed the lines meant for a man and a woman were reversed...
Qin Shoucheng narrowed his eyes. A surge of Vast Energy slowly brewed in his chest, and a faint killing intent flickered in his eyes. This situation was strikingly similar to the scenes in his memory where ghosts and monsters coaxed away a scholar’s vital yang energy!
"This is the sacred ground of the Imperial College! What foul monster dares to cause trouble here?!" As the natural bane of all monsters and ghosts in the world, a Confucian Cultivator possessed an innate disgust for aberrant species.
BANG!
Qin Shoucheng unhesitatingly shoved open the storehouse doors and strode inside!
Upon entering, his gaze shot straight into the room. An extremely oppressive wave of Vast Energy condensed within his chest.
Their eyes met.
Zeng Anmin stared innocently at Qin Shoucheng. Qin Shoucheng stared at the bare-chested Zeng Anmin, and then at Sai Chuxue behind him, who was just withdrawing her pen. He furrowed his brows deeply.
"Done!" Sai Chuxue wiped the fine sweat from her forehead and slowly let out a sigh of relief.
Then, she met Qin Shoucheng’s gaze. Now, six eyes were locked onto each other. For a time, the atmosphere in the entire storehouse became extremely bizarre.
"What are you doing in here?" Qin Shoucheng asked flatly, looking at the two of them after a long pause. He naturally recognized the standard uniform of the Profound Array Department that Sai Chuxue was wearing.
"Master Qin, the academic selection is imminent, so I asked Ms. Sai to carve a few Power Arrays onto my body," Zeng Anmin told the truth. Feeling the oppressive aura radiating from Qin Shoucheng, he was secretly alarmed. He thought, "As expected of a Fourth Grade bigwig of the Confucian Dao. This Confucian Dao aura is indeed profound!"
After speaking, he slowly picked up his discarded clothes and put them back on one by one.
"Sai Chuxue from the Profound Array Department? The seventh disciple of Celestial Master Xu?" Hearing Zeng Anmin’s words, Qin Shoucheng’s gaze landed on Sai Chuxue. The Vast Cyan Qi in his chest slowly retracted. He looked at her expressionlessly and asked, "Were you just inscribing an Array?"
Sai Chuxue was also affected by his imposing presence. Her face flushed slightly red. Coupled with her naturally socially anxious personality, she lowered her head and replied in a voice as soft as a mosquito’s, "Yes, I inscribed two Power Arrays."
"Oh." Qin Shoucheng stared flatly at Zeng Anmin.
Zeng Anmin met his gaze calmly.
After a long moment, Qin Shoucheng spoke with a trace of coldness in his voice, "Spend less time trying to take shortcuts."
With that, he placed the Xuan paper he was holding onto a shelf in the storehouse. Snorting coldly, he turned and walked out the door.
Watching his retreating figure, Sai Chuxue was somewhat baffled. She blinked and looked at Zeng Anmin, asking curiously, "Who was that?"
Zeng Anmin thought for a moment before answering earnestly, "A friend of my father’s."
"Alright then," Sai Chuxue replied. She then looked at Zeng Anmin with a face full of anticipation. "You should give it to me now..."
"Look at my memory!" Zeng Anmin slapped his forehead and pretended to fish for something in his clothes.
He had three Preparation Spaces. Each was about ten cubic meters in size, which was more than enough to store some miscellaneous items.
After pulling out a porcelain bottle, he said solemnly, "There isn’t much left, so it’s best to use it sparingly."
Upon seeing the porcelain bottle, Sai Chuxue could no longer control her eyes. She nodded vaguely and impatiently popped it open.
"HOO..."
She took a deep, intoxicated sniff of the ultimate umami flavor inside the porcelain bottle. That was the smell. Excellent.
"I’ll be heading back then." Sai Chuxue carefully tucked the porcelain bottle into her little Purse. When she looked up again, she wore a beaming smile, radiating a delicate charm that would easily captivate any young man.
"Alright."
With the Power Arrays inscribed, the risk of exposing his identity as a Martial Artist was greatly reduced. He wouldn’t have to hide it so desperately in the future. Even if he accidentally unleashed strength that a ’scholar’s’ body shouldn’t possess, he now had a ready excuse.
As Zeng Anmin breathed a sigh of relief, he looked at Sai Chuxue with an extremely appreciative gaze. He thought, "What a good girl. One bottle of chicken bouillon in exchange for an incredibly loyal worker. I, Zeng Anmin, never do business at a loss!"
Guarding her Purse, Sai Chuxue stepped toward the door.
"Oh, right!" Zeng Anmin suddenly looked up and called out, stopping her.
"What’s wrong?" Sai Chuxue turned her head curiously, revealing those exquisite and clear eyes. She looked at Zeng Anmin and blinked.
"Um, if I need to find you at the Profound Array Department in the future, how should I go about it?" Zeng Anmin recalled the Array at the department’s entrance.
"About that..." Sai Chuxue tapped her forehead and thought for a moment. Then, she pulled a green stone from her Purse and handed it to Zeng Anmin. "Tap this stone against the main gates of the Profound Array Department three times, and the gates will open."
"Oh?" Zeng Anmin looked at the stone with great curiosity.
The emerald-green stone emitted a lovely glow between Sai Chuxue’s pale fingers.
"Great! Take care on your way back!" Zeng Anmin waved at Sai Chuxue with a beaming smile.
