Chapter 154: Chapter 112: Your Excellency Is... Zeng Liangjiang?!

However, just as they stepped out of the corridor, they saw four people standing in front of a courtyard ahead.

Leading them was a student who appeared to be around twenty years old. The blue uniform he wore looked entirely out of place among the students of the Imperial College.

*Hadn’t the students from Qi Lin Academy already left?*

Zeng Anmin raised an eyebrow and looked over. Coincidentally, the young man looked his way too.

"Zeng Anmin?" the person’s muffled voice rang out.

Was he coming for him? Zeng Anmin blinked.

Qin Wanyue looked up as well. Behind the young man stood three burly men, each with sharp, piercing gazes. Their temples bulged prominently. Clearly, these three were not to be trifled with.

"That’s me." Zeng Anmin looked at the student and walked over. His posture was perfectly upright, neither servile nor overbearing, and his expression was calm. As he slowly approached the student, he asked, "And you are?"

Qin Wanyue had also followed Zeng Anmin to stand before the man. The person merely cast a faint glance at her without the slightest hint of surprise. Staring blankly at Zeng Anmin, he said, "In today’s academic selection, are you the one who claimed the title of champion among the three thousand students?"

Three thousand students. It was three thousand in name only. In reality, the number of participants didn’t even reach a third of that. The two academies simply used that number because it sounded impressive. With his perfect score, Zeng Anmin had naturally earned the title of being the top student among them all.

"I wouldn’t dare call myself the champion, but I am indeed Zeng Anmin." Hearing the newcomer’s less-than-friendly tone and noting his refusal to introduce himself, Zeng Anmin’s expression turned cold. "If there’s nothing else, please don’t disturb my studies."

After speaking, he prepared to lead Qin Wanyue around the man and head toward the hall.

He had barely taken a step when the three burly men unhesitatingly surrounded him, blocking his path. Each of them was expressionless, staring fixedly at him. Evidently, based on their behavior, they had no intention of resolving things peacefully today.

Zeng Anmin narrowed his eyes, a faint trace of irritation rising in his heart. The burly men before him all looked like Martial Artists who had entered the Grades. Although he couldn’t tell which Grade they were in, Zeng Anmin felt that if a real fight broke out and he unleashed his full power, these men wouldn’t last a single round.

However, they were in the capital, inside the Imperial College. He couldn’t expose his identity.

Taking a soft breath, he tried his best to keep his face calm and composed. He slowly turned around, looking the student from Qi Lin Academy in the eye. "Who are you? Give me a name."

"My name is Ren Xueliang." The student didn’t deliberately hide it. He just looked faintly at Zeng Anmin, a hint of a smile flickering in his eyes. "I came looking for you today because someone wants to see you. Come with me."

Though he was smiling, his tone carried an undeniable air of absolute authority.

"Brother Quan Fu..." Qin Wanyue looked at Zeng Anmin with concern, gently shaking her head at him.

"It’s fine," Zeng Anmin gave her a confident, comforting smile. His gaze then shifted back to the student who called himself Ren Xueliang. "Ren Xueliang, is it? What is your relationship with Ren Weizhi?"

His voice was calm, but beneath that calm brewed a faint storm. Regarding the name of the current Minister of the Ministry of Revenue, Zeng Anmin showed absolutely no intention of avoiding it as a taboo.

Hearing Zeng Anmin’s question, Ren Xueliang raised an eyebrow, a flash of surprise appearing in his eyes. Clearly, he hadn’t expected that just by revealing his name, Zeng Anmin would be able to pinpoint his identity so quickly.

"He is my father." Ren Xueliang didn’t hide it in the slightest. A smile curled on his lips as he glanced intentionally at the three burly men in front of him. "A gentleman does not place himself in danger. You have no room to resist right now. You might as well obediently come with me."

Clearly, he was banking on the fact that Zeng Anmin was caught off guard and had no guards with him. As for Zeng Anmin’s identity, he didn’t care in the slightest. So what if Zeng Anmin’s father was a Minister? His own father was a Minister too. It made no difference.

Hearing his words, Zeng Anmin’s mind slightly stirred. This was Ren Weizhi’s son. Clearly, the man had come with ill intentions.

"Who wants to see me?" Zeng Anmin asked, frowning at Ren Xueliang. A few names flashed through his mind. Was it the Eldest Princess? Ren Weizhi? Or someone else...

"You’ll know when you see them." Ren Xueliang looked at Zeng Anmin impassively. "If you obediently come with me, you’ll save yourself from physical pain."

With that, he gave a look to the three large men behind Zeng Anmin.

"Mr. Zeng, please!" One of the burly men stared blankly at Zeng Anmin. He slowly took two steps closer, his massive frame radiating an intense sense of oppression.

A cold gleam flashed through Zeng Anmin’s eyes. He looked evenly at Ren Xueliang and said, "I have other matters to attend to today, so I won’t be going."

As he spoke, he slowly turned around, shielding Qin Wanyue behind him, and strode forward.

He didn’t take these burly men seriously at all. By now, he had already figured out how to deal with them. If these men actually dared to make a move, he would beat them down with the force of a Thunderbolt! After all, he still had the Power Array that Sai Chuxue had carved on him. If anyone asked about it afterward, he could just attribute whatever strength he displayed to the Power Array.

However, he hadn’t taken many steps when a familiar voice rang out.

"Oh my! Mr. Ren! What brings you here today?!"

Zeng Anmin raised an eyebrow and looked over. It was Liu Xian, the eldest young master of the Liangyou Chamber of Commerce, and also the person he was currently making a deliberate effort to befriend.

It was within Zeng Anmin’s expectations that Liu Xian would know Ren Xueliang. Based on the information he currently had, the Eldest Princess, the Liangyou Chamber of Commerce, and the Minister of the Ministry of Revenue, Ren Weizhi, were all part of the same chain of interests. It wasn’t strange for them to know one another.

Just as the voice fell, Liu Xian walked over. He used his body to shield Zeng Anmin, separating him from the three burly men. Smiling cheerfully at Ren Xueliang, he said, "Why didn’t you let me know you were coming so I could prepare? How about right now? It’s my treat! Let’s go to the Imperial Music Bureau and have some fun!"

Ren Xueliang looked expressionlessly at Liu Xian, his tone laced with indifference. "Some other time." Then, he turned to Zeng Anmin and said coldly, "So, you’re choosing to do things the hard way?"

"Hey now! Brother, this is the Imperial College. We can’t make things too ugly here!" Before the three burly men could make a move, Liu Xian hurriedly positioned himself protectively in front of Zeng Anmin, an incredibly amiable smile on his face.

Ren Xueliang narrowed his eyes slightly. He looked faintly at Liu Xian, then shifted his gaze to Zeng Anmin’s face without saying another word. Slowly, he walked up to Liu Xian, looking at him seriously. "There is nothing I hate more than people ruining my plans."

SLAP!

An incredibly abrupt slap rang in everyone’s ears.

Liu Xian’s face flushed red. He clamped his hands tightly over his cheek, his eyes filled with sheer bewilderment.

Ren Xueliang lightly pulled his hand back and looked evenly at Liu Xian. "Get lost."

Liu Xian felt a burning sting on his face. Everything that had just unfolded had drawn the attention of the Imperial College students.

Someone even shouted out in indignation, "A student from Qi Lin Academy dares to cause trouble in our Imperial College?!"

"I’ve already sent a friend to fetch the Sacrificial Officer! If you know what’s good for you, leave immediately!"

Ren Xueliang’s expression didn’t change in the slightest at these words. He merely shifted his gaze back to the three burly men and said blankly, "Make it quick."

"Yes, sir!" The gazes of the three burly men abruptly turned cold as they looked at Zeng Anmin in the center. Without a shred of hesitation, the three of them struck instantly.

SWISH!

Seeing that one of them was about to grab Zeng Anmin’s collar, Zeng Anmin narrowed his eyes, unable to hold back anymore as he circulated the Martial Arts True Qi within his body, ready to fight.

Just then, a furious voice rang out!

"Stop right there!"

Everyone’s eyes shot toward the source of the voice. They saw a chubby figure slowly approaching, his face as cold as frost.

With the Little Fatty Crown Prince’s appearance, a tremendously majestic and noble aura radiated from his chubby frame. His imposing manner made it undeniably clear that he was not to be offended!

He slowly walked up to Ren Xueliang, a cold gleam flickering in his eyes. His voice was faint. "Who sent you?"

The next moment, Ren Xueliang’s face drastically changed. His voice trembled as he looked at the Little Fatty Crown Prince who had hurried over from afar, speaking in absolute disbelief.

"C-Crown Prince?!"
