Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?
Chapter 1694 - 630: Carrying Her Upstairs!
Chapter 1694: Chapter 630: Carrying Her Upstairs!
After all, he’d taken such great advantage of her last night, and even given her such an expensive gift.
Yeah, that must be it!
Zhang Jingdong hesitated for a moment, then replied to her: Last night we had a family dinner, I drank too much and went to bed early. Since you really want to learn some gaming skills, how about we meet at Tianyue Internet Cafe at midnight tonight?
He’d thought Hu Ling would still be asleep at this hour and most likely wouldn’t reply, so he stood up, planning to go back to the bedroom.
But right then his cellphone suddenly rang.
He glanced at it.
It was actually a reply from Hu Ling: Okay.
Zhang Jingdong blinked rapidly, then sat back down on the sofa.
He sent her another message: You went to sleep so late last night, and you’re up this early today?
Hu Ling: I haven’t slept yet.
Zhang Jingdong: What do you mean? Don’t tell me you went to the internet cafe by yourself?
Hu Ling: Yep. By the time I texted you I’d already left the house, and I couldn’t just go back, so I had no choice but to come to the internet cafe.
Zhang Jingdong: To make up for not replying to your texts last night, I’ll definitely teach you a few good tricks tonight.
Hu Ling: You said it yourself. If you dare stand me up tonight, I’ll tell Shanshan about our thing.
Zhang Jingdong: Relax, I’m the kind of person who either simply doesn’t agree, or if I do agree, I absolutely keep my word.
Hu Ling: Fine, I’ll trust you this once.
Zhang Jingdong: But there’s something I’m really curious about.
Hu Ling: You’re curious why I asked you to go to the internet cafe alone with me last night?
Zhang Jingdong: That’s right, I’m honestly a bit curious.
Hu Ling: But I actually don’t know the answer either. I don’t even know why I wanted to ask you alone.
Zhang Jingdong: What? Even you don’t know why?
Hu Ling: Is that not allowed?
Zhang Jingdong: All right then, what about tonight?
Hu Ling: I don’t know either, we’ll see when the time comes.
Zhang Jingdong: Okay, see you then.
Hu Ling: There’s something I’m really curious about too.
Zhang Jingdong: What is it?
Hu Ling: How far have you and Shanshan gotten? You know what I’m asking.
Zhang Jingdong: Shanshan isn’t as generous as you are as her big sister. I haven’t gotten to the level with her that I have with you.
Hu Ling: Really?
Zhang Jingdong: If I’m lying I’m a puppy.
Hu Ling: All right then.
They chatted for a bit more, then wrapped up the conversation.
Hu Ling put her cellphone back in her bag, finished off the few remaining wontons in her bowl in one go, took two sips of the soup, then walked out of the breakfast shop looking utterly content.
And Zhang Jingdong sat on the sofa for a little while longer, then happily headed back to the master bedroom.
It was almost nine o’clock when Zhang Lihua finally woke up.
When she saw Zhang Jingdong lying beside her, she was stunned for a second, then quickly remembered everything that had happened last night, and her face instantly flushed bright red.
Seeing this, Zhang Jingdong joked right away: "What’s this, you know how to be shy now? Last night when you were taking advantage of me you weren’t shy at all!"
Zhang Lihua hadn’t expected Zhang Jingdong to play the victim first, and she immediately shot him a glare: "Ugh, who was taking advantage of who last night? You..."
Before she could finish, Zhang Jingdong leaned over and wrapped an arm around her fragrant shoulders: "Okay, with the kind of relationship we have now, let’s not argue about who took advantage of who. Anyway, we’re not letting the goodies go to outsiders. I’m happy when I’m taking advantage of you, and I’m happy when you’re taking advantage of me too, haha..."
As he spoke, he planted a heavy kiss on Zhang Lihua’s pretty face.
Only then did the clouds clear from Zhang Lihua’s face. She was just about to talk to him when something suddenly occurred to her: "What time is it now?"
Zhang Jingdong took out his cellphone, lit up the screen, checked the time, then answered: "Almost nine, why?"
Zhang Lihua immediately sat up: "I have to go home now!"
Zhang Jingdong vaguely guessed what was going on, so he didn’t waste words and said directly: "Okay, let’s go down together, you can drop me off at the restaurant."
Seeing how sensible Zhang Jingdong was being, Zhang Lihua immediately kissed him of her own accord: "Don’t be mad, I have to go back and watch my parents take their medicine. If I’m not there, my dad won’t finish his meds no matter what the nanny says."
"Look at what you’re saying, how could I possibly be mad? The fact that you were willing to stay out all night for the first time in your life because of me already makes me extremely satisfied."
"Besides, we’re already a real, true family now, so from now on you absolutely must not say things like that to me again, because I will support you in anything you do at any time—of course, except not being with me and going to find another man."
Zhang Lihua was deeply moved by the first half, but after hearing the second half she couldn’t help laughing in exasperation: "What are you talking about? I would never. In this life I’ll only be with you, and I’ll always stay with you."
A warm rush went through Zhang Jingdong’s chest, and he hugged her tightly: "I was just teasing. Of course I believe you, and I definitely will never let you leave me!"
"Okay, get out of bed now. As an apology, from this moment on, as long as we’re in this room, wherever you go, I’ll carry you there."
Right away, Zhang Lihua remembered how Zhang Jingdong had carried her upstairs last night, and a sweetness she couldn’t hide flashed in her eyes.
And since they’d been outside then, she’d been really shy, but now they were at home, so she was instantly overjoyed: "You said it yourself, I’m holding you to it!"
Zhang Jingdong stood up immediately, then made a gentlemanly inviting gesture: "Serving you is the greatest honor of my life. After you."
Zhang Lihua got out of bed, put on her shoes, then stretched both hands out toward Zhang Jingdong.
Zhang Jingdong bent slightly and scooped her up around the waist, then carried her into the bathroom.
Once everything was tidied up, the two of them left the apartment together and went downstairs.
Zhang Lihua drove and dropped Zhang Jingdong off at the restaurant, then headed back to her own place.
Zhang Jingdong first went to Yunhe Su Restaurant nearby and had some breakfast, then went home, took a shower, and changed clothes.
A little before ten, he sent Song Yunshan a text: Classmate Song Yunshan, are you able to head out now?
