Chapter 2071 - 1632: You Don’t Have That Many People Either
Chapter 2071: Chapter 1632: You Don’t Have That Many People Either
Humans have a saying: if you can’t beat them, join them; watch the wind, wisdom lies in knowing when to adapt.
Morania was a God Star with intelligence—after all, without intelligence, he’d have been beaten to death on the spot.
"Offer your Soul Brand to my Lord, and you will receive the protection of the Ghost Lord." Anthony said.
Morania hesitantly asked, "Can I not offer my Star Soul? I’m willing to offer my loyalty to the Ghost Lord."
"Heh, do you think that’s possible? If you were me, do you think I would agree?" Anthony asked with a smile.
Morania thought for a moment and said, "No." Then he let out a sigh: "I’m willing to offer everything I have to the Ghost Lord, and pray for Your protection."
As Morania spoke, a massive Soul Oath slowly rose into the air.
Ange beckoned, and the Fire of Oath flew toward him and sank into his body.
This was his first time accepting a Soul Oath offered by a God Star, and its intensity was absurdly high.
If it were the old Ange, he simply wouldn’t have been able to bear an oath of this Level—he might even have the tables turned on him and be taken over by the God Star.
But now it was fine. Ange was already the master of several God Stars, and his own body was an unprecedented red Giant Star; he could easily withstand a Star Soul Oath of this intensity.
As soon as the Star Soul Oath entered his body, a thick channel of contact formed between him and Morania.
If ordinary Soul Oaths are like every node connected by a single thread, each thread linking two nodes and finally weaving into a huge Soul Network...
Then what he had just established with Morania was not a thin thread at all, but a thick Soul conduit.
Ange discovered that his soul could project onto Morania’s body completely unhindered.
How could this be? Morania was not the only God Star that had Soul Contact with him—Little Fireman and Abyssal Big Mouth were also in Soul Contact with him, and there was the Sixth Divine Star Melania that he had forcibly subdued, as well as Luomu Luo’er and so on. All these God Stars had Soul Contact with him, so why didn’t any of them have this effect?
Ange told everyone about the issue.
Ursman analyzed, "The others don’t have this effect with you, only Morania does. The difference is that Morania has a Faith Network. Could it be the effect of the Faith Network? Do you have this kind of connection with God Stars that belong to the Faith System? For example, Little Ghost."
It did seem so. Ange looked at the Little Ghost and Kram in his hands—both of them had formed a connection with him through the Faith System, and their power transmission was extremely smooth and fast.
Their true bodies were still in the Land of the Infinity; what was attached to Ange’s hands were merely two Thoughts, not even avatars, yet he could mobilize their power anytime, anywhere.
It was just that after coming to the outside world, he’d never really had a chance to use them. Only recently had he used Kram’s consciousness imprisonment once, and that hadn’t involved large-scale energy transmission, so Ange hadn’t realized this. Now that Ursman mentioned it, he suddenly noticed that it really was a bit smoother.
Ursman continued his analysis: "The key to a Faith Network is ’faith’—devotion, intense belief, strong initiative. Whereas the Soul Network is more stable and much more passive: whether one believes or not, the Soul Network is still there. But with the Faith Network, if there’s no belief, then it’s gone."
Anthony immediately understood: "You mean that although Morania has established Soul Contact, because he also carries the characteristics of a Faith Network, energy transmission becomes smoother?"
Ursman nodded and went on: "Also, the Faith Network is dispersed. Morania is only one node, but this node connects to ten billion followers, so this node isn’t just one node—it’s the aggregation of ten billion nodes."
Seeing that everyone looked thoughtful, Ursman hurried to add, "This is just my analysis and hypothesis. Whether it’s accurate still needs verification."
Ange nodded, dropped a line—"Go verify it."—and then stood there blankly.
Negris realized that Ange had already left and quickly hung his own form onto Ange’s body, then shared Ange’s vision.
He opened his eyes and saw that Ange’s consciousness had already returned to the Little Fireman Divine Star, standing atop the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, overlooking the surface of the God Star from on high.
Negris quickly asked, "What are you trying to do?"
A pile of White Crystal condensed in Ange’s hand; he scattered it down toward the God Star and said, "Plant some people."
"Plant people? What do you mean? Aren’t these White Crystals?" Negris looked utterly confused.
As he spoke, Negris felt someone squeezing in beside him—actually, two someones.
Normally, the only one daring to share Ange’s vision with him was Anthony, so why were there two now?
Looking closely, it turned out to be Ursman. This guy had gotten bold enough to share Ange’s vision.
But Negris didn’t say anything. Ange had never really cared about who shared his vision; it was just that everyone still instinctively maintained a sense of closeness, distance, rank and status, not daring to clamber onto Ange as casually as this pet did.
Usually only after he’d already come to share would Anthony dare to share as well; now there was one more Ursman.
Ange stood on the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, continuously scattering White Crystals; each White Crystal was something he condensed out of Incremental Fog.
A thumb-sized blank White Crystal didn’t take much Incremental Fog at all; it was only filling the White Crystal with energy and condensing out a form that was more laborious.
Ange kept scattering like this, and unconsciously he had scattered over five billion White Crystals. This number made Negris and Anthony frown in confusion—did they have that many consciousnesses to fill them?
Because having only White Crystals was useless; without consciousness, what was going to fill them?
White Crystals without consciousness were just empty Crystals; they couldn’t condense forms, nor could they provide faith. Aside from wasting Incremental, they were good for nothing.
But Anthony and Negris’s worries were quickly rendered moot, as one human Star Descendant after another floated up from the surface of the God Star.
They peered around in confusion, looking in all directions, and finally sensed Ange atop the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms; one after another they flew toward where Ange stood.
Humans—actual humans, not humanoid creatures.
There were many kinds of humanoid creatures, such as Elf, Dwarf, Dragon-Man, even cave dwellers; these were all humanoid, but they were not human.
Yet all the Star Descendants that had just condensed into form before their eyes were human; this meant that their self-identity was human, so they manifested in the form most familiar to them.
Negris suddenly thought of a possibility and asked in astonishment, "Ange, did you summon the humans from the Dimensional World of your true body?"
Ange nodded.
Negris slapped his waist muscle and said, "I knew it. Where else would there be so many human consciousnesses? Other than your Dimensional World, there’s only the Dimensional Space of the Gray Divine Star. But even your Dimensional World doesn’t have this many humans."
