Chapter 2078: Chapter 1639: There’s a Lone God Star Here
In the Dimensional Space of the Gray Divine Star, Ange and a bunch of Divine Stars surrounded the main body of the Gray Divine Star. But of course, this body no longer belonged to the Gray Divine Star; it had already transferred its consciousness to a new Little Fireball, starting anew.
Yet, it was still summoned back, not just it, but also the Little Fireman, Abyssal Big Mouth, Gemez Fortress, Luomu Luo’er, Morania, and so forth. All Divine Star level consciousness under Ange’s command were gathered except for the Sixth Divine Star.
Ange was there, fiddling repeatedly, while Morania kept dousing the situation with cold water: "Injecting new additional energy into an exhausted Divine Star? How could that be possible? Especially for a Divine Star without consciousness, lacking even self-initiative; it’s even more implausible."
Anthony asked perplexedly: "Why is it impossible? Where exactly is the difficulty?"
"Because the additional energy releases from the inside out, it starts decaying from the internal parts of the Divine Star, dividing into two, then into four, from four to eight, continuously decaying, splitting, expanding, layer by layer progressing. By the time it reaches the surface of the Divine Star, tens of thousands of years have passed."
"If you want to inject new additional energy into a Divine Star, you must inject it into the innermost core. Tossing it just on the surface, before it’s done decaying, it would erupt out."
"It wouldn’t even decay because the temperature and pressure aren’t enough, it would just spray out as ordinary light and heat, like painting a person green wouldn’t make them younger."
Morania seemed quite excited, babbling away, which is uncommon for the typically silent Divine Star.
Anthony summarized his point: "So you’re saying only by injecting additional energy at the core can it succeed, right?"
"Indeed." Morania affirmed.
"Have you ever found any old Divine Star successfully injected with new energy on the Lania Branch Road?" Anthony asked.
"Of course not, if injecting additional energy was possible, old Divine Stars wouldn’t exist. All Divine Stars would desperately plunder from each other before aging, the Lania Branch Road would have been a total battlefield by now."
Morania’s language style was very human-like, filled with colloquial and slang from various Life Species. This evidently had much to do with the more than ten billion Life Species living on him.
After the Life Species die, their consciousness returns to the Divine Star, also bringing back a plethora of memory fragments, greatly influencing the Divine Star’s thoughts and linguistic style.
Anthony queried: "If we had the capability to delve into the core of a Divine Star?"
"Delve in? What would that entail?" Morania asked confusedly.
Anthony didn’t reply; after some unnoticed time passed, Ange suddenly began transforming, turning into a Star Skeleton after a few flashes.
Anthony promptly alerted Morania: "Like this, for example."
Ange thrust a hand into the Void; under immense pressure, ferocious Star Flame spewed violently from the bones of Ange’s hand and the Void, instantly wrapping Ange into a Fireman cocoon.
Morania chuckled, "Is this the ability? The pressure inside a Divine Star is astronomical, your method is it really to infuse him with additional energy or just to bleed him dry?"
Negris frowned: "Why not work? Why could Gemez Fortress succeed?"
Gemez Fortress was nearby, responding: "Because I borrowed the pressure from the Abyss Core at the time."
So that’s how it was... Ange recalled, retrieved his arm, then fiercely pulled with both hands, opening a Devouring Abyss and wrapped himself inside.
The pitch-black Devouring Abyss cloaked Ange, leaving everyone unable to see his movements and instead watching the Gray Divine Star for any change.
No change emerged; three days later, Ange closed the Devouring Abyss.
Negris hurriedly inquired: "Was it successful?"
Ange shook his head: "Too slow."
It’s not that it didn’t succeed, but it was too slow; compared to the Gray Divine Star, Ange’s small arm was like an acupuncture needle. Poking a tiny hole and wanting to transfuse it was unfeasible.
"Could we use Pure Molten Fire Avatars to dive inside and then transmit the additional energy?" Negris asked.
Ange shook his head.
The others offered their advice, but all were rejected by Ange; all solutions snagged on the issue of speed.
Anthony analyzed: "These methods’ speed doesn’t even match the speed Chamara and Luna polluted it."
"Back then when Chamara and Luna were polluting the Gray Divine Star, our estimation was that it would take hundreds of years, because once pollution reached the Late Stage, the speed geometrically multiplied, becoming faster and faster. But these methods could only maintain one speed, potentially requiring tens of thousands of years; there’s no way the Lord can maintain one action for tens of thousands of years."
"Thousands of years would still be required even without completely replacing the Divine Star, just adding a bit of additional energy. But taking a few thousand years is still too slow," Ursman remarked.
Having tried various methods, everyone returned disappointed, most disheartened were the Divine Stars like Luomu Luo’er, Gemez Fortress, and Morania; if Ange succeeded, it would mean they could remain forever youthful.
If the Sixth Divine Star were here, it might have cried; it truly is an exhausted Divine Star.
Eternal youth for Divine Stars; thinking about it was enticing, solutions had to be thought of to make the Lord’s idea successful.
Not entirely a failure; at least Ange could inject small amounts of additional energy into the Divine Star through the Star Skeleton — just the speed was slow; now everyone needed ways to boost the speed.
Morania, like having been injected with adrenaline, became extraordinarily active and proactive; previously when Anthony asked him to find other Divine Star locations, he was always reluctant and perfunctory.
Living on the Lania Branch Road for so long, familiar with seeing everyone, knowing all the Divine Stars and their spectra.
It wasn’t easy to push known Divine Stars into a dead-end. But things were different now, it was merely acquaintance, not close, accepting the order of the Branch Lord to annex other Little Divine Stars made them enemies.
Everyone else left, but Ange still returned here occasionally, where he tossed down a Ghost Disc.
Having tried so many methods, even though the efficiency was slow, one approach was still usable.
Thinking of this, Ange retrieved a Little Fireball cultivated on the Little Fireman, using Pure Molten Fire to refine a body for it. He said to it: "You shall be called Xiao Cang."
Then transforming into a Star Skeleton, he placed it in the core of the Gray Divine Star.
The Little Flame trusted him immensely, being a node in his faith network. Tossing it in allowed gradual energy infusion through this node, even if it took tens of thousands of years, but from this moment, the Gray Divine Star was no longer an exhausted Divine Star.
After finishing all this, his thought received Morania’s voice: "Main Star, there’s a solitary Divine Star here."
