Chapter 2087 - 1648: Guiding the Exotic Ghost
Chapter 2087: Chapter 1648: Guiding the Exotic Ghost
All fear stems from insufficient firepower; if you can’t kill the Ghost Guide, of course, you would fear him.
But when your firepower can annihilate him instantly, the Ghost Guide isn’t something to fear.
Instead, most of Ange’s people were taken aback.
Anthony called out in the Soul Network: "Ursman, how are you? Are you alright?"
Ursman replied with lingering fear: "I’m here, I’m fine, but my body is gone."
Negris asked in confusion: "What was that attack? How did it wipe out your body so quickly?"
"Star Flame, just ordinary Star Flame, but the quantity was too much, and the speed was extremely fast," Ursman said.
Having been soaked in Star Flame, Ange’s people generally didn’t hold any awe for it, thinking of it as a hotter molten liquid; falling into it wouldn’t kill you immediately.
But the Star Flame casually thrown by Kelanis showed them another kind of power, like a water jet turning into a water knife in an instant, instantly killing a Ghost Guide.
If Ursman hadn’t reacted quickly, even his consciousness might not have escaped.
However, even if the consciousness couldn’t escape, it wouldn’t matter. Ange’s subordinates have a habitual action, which is to periodically upload their memories to Ange.
It’s equivalent to establishing a Life Box with Ange, so even if they die, they can be resurrected by Ange through the Life Box.
But death is an instinctive fear for all creatures; those who do not fear death have long perished. Even the undead fear the soul and demise; it’s best to be immortal.
"Everyone, be wary of Kelanis’s Star Flame; don’t get hit," Anthony urgently warned everyone.
However, it was useless. After killing Ursman, Kelanis’s intent locked onto Tyrone, and another mass of Star Flame shot from his body, skimming the water towards Tyrone.
Tyrone wanted to dodge but found Kelanis’s intent had locked onto his position, making his movements unusually sluggish—like in quicksand.
Tyrone, a seasoned Archmage, and highly experienced in battle, immediately abandoned his form and drilled towards Ange.
Kelanis’s Water Drifting Star Flame bombarded Tyrone’s position, covering a two-thousand-kilometer diameter area around him, obliterating everything—including Tyrone’s form and the space he was in, various layers of dimensions, everything.
This level of attack, not to mention anything else, could even wipe out a Dimensional Space, such is its terror.
This level of attack has transcended single-layered realms; hiding in Dimensional Space is futile.
In an instant, two Ghost Guides were annihilated under Kelanis’s assault, leaving Negris and others astonished. They couldn’t help but ask, "Is he that strong? Why was he so embarrassed by Dalasso before? Was he pretending?"
Dalasso said with lingering fear: "He wanted to ambush the lord, so he wasn’t giving his all against me at that time, and his main body wasn’t present. He was fighting me with a Star Flame Image."
Anthony hurriedly said, "I misjudged his power. Everyone, retreat for now."
Everyone hurriedly retreated and regrouped at a safe distance. All were looking at each other; the situation was beyond their expectations.
Negris said, "Now I understand why the Divine Stars don’t have much in terms of skills or techniques. If I had such terrifying primordial energy, what need would I have for techniques?"
Anthony also sighed, "Indeed, a powerful force can surpass ten fancy skills. The Water Drifting Star Flame he throws out even obliterates space. This level can erase any existence, making any skills or techniques unnecessary."
Negris said, "So what do we do now? If we can’t stop him, the Sixth Divine Star’s main body is in trouble."
Everyone heard Ange’s voice in their minds: "The Sixth Divine Star has moved."
"What? The Sixth Divine Star moved? Did you push it away?" Negris asked in shock.
When they arrived, the Sixth Divine Star couldn’t move; how did it start moving in the blink of an eye? What did Ange do?
Everyone felt a tangled emotion as if they could see Ange scratching his head again.
Negris said helplessly, "Alright, alright, you don’t have to say anything. As long as we know it can move."
Everyone seemed to hear Ange sigh in relief.
Knowing the Sixth Divine Star could move, everyone breathed a sigh of relief because it meant the Sixth Divine Star could flee instead of sitting there taking hits.
Dalasso said, "Unleash the ultimate move; I’ll guide the lord."
He had previously mentioned that if the battle was unfavorable, he could guide the Exotic Ghost.
Anthony and Negris exchanged a glance and hurriedly informed Ange through the Soul Network to cut off contact with Dalasso, so Dalasso couldn’t guide Ange over.
After notifying Ange, they calmed down and watched Dalasso’s guidance seriously.
The reason Ghost Guides are called ’Guides’ is that they can guide Exotic Ghosts to attack targets—the ’guide’ in their name is their existence purpose.
They had seen Dalasso’s guidance before, but back then, due to the long distance and Ange’s preemptive response to the guidance, the whole guiding process was incomplete.
Later, to avoid raising Dalasso’s suspicions, Anthony hadn’t inquired about the guidance process. Now, they finally had a chance to witness it, and everyone paid close attention, hoping to learn it if possible.
Dalasso first closed his eyes, focused, and stood still on the spot.
This should be the preparation for guiding; first, he must perceive the Exotic Ghost to start the guidance.
But since Ange had already severed the connection with him, if he could still sense something, it must be a real Exotic Ghost that he sensed.
Negris couldn’t help but rub his hands together nervously, "A bit tense, if he really guides an Exotic Ghost over, and it discovers us, what then?"
"What then? Would an Exotic Ghost suspect us being here?" Anthony asked puzzled.
"Wouldn’t it?" Negris was a bit confused.
"Everyone says an Exotic Ghost is a weapon; if it’s a weapon, then no, if it would, then it’s not a weapon but a powerful entity with self-awareness."
"Standing here and figuring out whether it’s a weapon or independent entity is quite a bargain," Anthony commented.
"I’m afraid it might erase us casually," Negris said.
Anthony spread his hands: "If you’re afraid, you could upload your memory to the lord, then he can resurrect you."
Negris retorted, "It’s just your memory being revived; once your consciousness is gone, it’s gone. Consciousness is your essence, and revival with memories is just a simulacrum."
Though saying so, Negris quickly uploaded his memory to Ange. With Ange acting as everyone’s Life Box, as long as Ange remains alive, everyone else wouldn’t die.
At that moment, Dalasso suddenly opened his eyes, and his entire demeanor changed.
Anthony, Negris, and Xisluo, all the individuals present with Stacked Clones, felt a chill all over, as a distant point emerged in their perception.
From that point, a powerful and terrifying aura locked its gaze upon them.
