Chapter 2103: Chapter 1664: Quick, Call Ange to Save Me
"Your Majesty, this is Pure Melted Fire. Once you touch... and receive the compensation, throw this thing into their bodies. The Little Angel will go with Luna and Chamara to contaminate him. We’ll extract from a God Star twice." Anthony said.
The Monarch received the Pure Melted Fire, then sighed, "You guys are truly black-hearted, Godman. All right, I’m off. I’ll call you when I find Lania."
Though the Monarch mentioned cutting down Kelanis, Anthony said it wasn’t necessary because their target was never really Kelanis.
Their primary goal was to find the Time-Space Ancient Dragon, and the second was to eliminate the Exotic Ghost, although this objective had changed.
Once they learned the Exotic Ghost might be a weapon, destroying it was no longer the optimal choice; controlling it was.
"Others can guide ghosts, so why can’t we guide the Exotic Ghost?"
But currently, they had too little information and didn’t know where to start. The best approach was to head to the Rui Plate and locate the core of the Exotic Ghost, but that was a matter for the future.
The first and second targets were not easily accomplished, and since Ange was currently refining the Star Body within the Sixth Divine Star, any targeted plans had to wait until Ange’s training was completed.
Thus, there was no need for the Monarch to attack anyone. He should continue to provoke others and gather some incremental gains for himself. If he happened to encounter the Lord of Lania on the way, he would then call everyone.
In the upcoming period, everyone continued maneuvering in this Mist Belt, covering for the Sixth Divine Star.
The Mist Belt was so vast, capable of accommodating hundreds and thousands of God Stars. Hiding here means encountering others truly relied on luck.
Ten months later, Anthony suddenly received a message from the Monarch: "I found Lania’s position. Come and help."
Everyone was invigorated and quickly rushed to the Monarch’s location.
At this moment, the Monarch was on a small piece of debris within the Mist Belt, surrounded by various mists, with no trace of Lania visible.
"Where is Lania?" Negris hastily asked.
The Monarch pointed in one direction and said, "Over there. I didn’t dare to get any closer. It felt strange. I need you to come over for some references."
"I moved horizontally from this direction, and it took a day. I moved vertically the same distance, and it took three days. What’s going on?"
Negris said, "Space must be distorted, but how do you know it’s the same distance?"
"When I left your place, I released a soul as my reference mark. Every new place I arrived at, I’d release a new soul for reference coordinates," the Monarch said.
Negris clapped his flank, "Good idea."
Getting lost in the Void was the most feared. Ange and the rest never worried about positioning after coming outside because they set up Soul Network nodes immediately. Without this, they wouldn’t dare venture out.
The first Soul Network node outside was Luomu Luo’er. Using a God Star as a node, the entire external Soul Network was incredibly stable. Luomu Luo’er remained there as the brightest reference marker.
But the Monarch didn’t have such a good reference point. He could only establish a new reference point at every location he visited, just like drawing arrows continuously in a labyrinth.
Moreover, these reference points would disconnect over distances. Ordinary Soul Network connection distances were very short; initially, the Monarch’s Soul Network was severed when he reached the Star Burst Plane.
Of course, the Monarch’s soul had grown much stronger now, but the outside world was even larger.
When the Monarch previously teleported to the Furnace Branch, he lost all soul reference points left on the Lania Branch Road and couldn’t find his way back without the Gate of No Boundary.
The best method would naturally be to connect to Ange’s Soul Network, but this wasn’t even mentioned by tacit agreement.
Upon confirming that space was distorted nearby, Tyrone and Xisluo immediately began calculating the degree of the distortion, with the Monarch gathering any missing data, ultimately compiling everything to Negris.
Incompetent at everything else, Negris finally showcased his astounding skills in computation, swiftly calculating the degree of distortion on each plane and, using Ange’s perspective, presented it.
In Ange’s vision, space was represented by grids composed of lines. Each grid was an accurate cube, and if the space was distorted, these cubes would deform accordingly, allowing for a clear representation of where and to what extent distortion had occurred.
Now the grids displayed portrayed a massive depression in space, with all grids converging inward, forming a huge funnel shape.
Xisluo puzzledly remarked, "Strange, with such a massive space distortion, why hasn’t the gravity here changed much?"
If the gravity changed, the Material Belt here would be pulled like a silent dead zone, forming bands of varying thickness rather than distributing evenly like now.
Ursman said, "A large-mass object is compensating for the gravitational pull on space."
Xisluo suddenly realized, "Oh, is Lania there?" He pointed to the center of the funnel while speaking.
The Monarch breathed a sigh of relief, "Thanks for coming. I’ve been circling here for a while, unable to find the correct position. I knew Lania was in that direction but couldn’t draw any closer."
Negris puzzledly questioned, "Unable to approach? It shouldn’t be. With this funnel-shaped space distortion, everything should eventually converge at the funnel’s center."
Had the Monarch had eyeballs, they’d probably be rolling up by now, "I’m afraid of hitting him and getting killed instantly. I need to know where he is first to sneak past."
Negris blushed, true enough. In the mist, the greatest fear isn’t staying in place but wandering aimlessly, accidentally stumbling into a beast’s territory, and getting smacked to death.
In the mist, vision was more crucial than anything.
"So what now?" Negris shifted the topic.
The Monarch said, "You guys stay here. I’ll go ahead and scout first, finding a closer safe point before calling you."
Finishing, the Monarch glanced at the ’funnel’ and left a Soul Heart, "My memories are preserved in there. If I die, let Ange resurrect me."
He then virtualized his body and flew forward, dropping another Soul Heart after some distance, using Soul Hearts to delineate the funnel’s border in the void.
Uncertain how much time passed, a message from the Monarch: "I’ve successfully entered inside Lania, but it seems like he recognizes me, appearing fearless. I have a bad feeling; quickly get Ange to save me."
