Chapter 265: Singularity Domain: Skewed Geometry

"A Domain...?!" Uhtred blurted out in shock. He immediately urged more essence into his Gnostic Eye, trying to see what Zara was talking about, and there it was... right there in the open. A second layer of reality superimposed upon the true reality.

Just like in his fight against the Heavenly Demon back in the scenario world, he could see the Domain more clearly now, and he immediately understood why he had suddenly felt like he shifted positions.

In reality, all Zara had done was use her Domain to mimic the space around them, only shifting the orientation very slightly.

It made it so that, from Uhtred’s perspective, his hits seemed to be scoring home when, in truth, he was always off by about a meter.

Singularity Domain: Skewed Geometry...

The name of the Domain made much more sense now. On the surface, it seemed remarkably simple, but it was actually a terrifyingly powerful ability.

Uhtred hadn’t even been able to tell anything was off when Zara didn’t want him to. He hadn’t been able to see through the Domain in the slightest, which just went to show how severely underleveled his Gnostic Eye still was.

The Towermaster, Lorien, had told him that it would grow with him, but at this point, he still didn’t know how exactly it was supposed to evolve — whether it would happen naturally or if it required specific resources to fuel its growth.

Right now, however, its shortcomings were painfully apparent. There were still things his Gnostic Eye could not see through. A Domain being one of them.

He looked Zara up and down one more time. Surprisingly, he found that his shock had quickly worn off. Right now, all that was left was just a weird sense of curiosity.

Of course, he had still been initially surprised and caught off guard — of all the things he had expected, a Domain hadn’t even been on his radar. Based on his knowledge, that was a feat reserved strictly for those of the Awakened Realm, at the very least.

Wait... Hold on...

A sudden thought crossed Uhtred’s mind.

"Is that why you were called out for the interview?" he asked, remembering how the Host’s introduction of Zara had been cut off before he could hear why she had qualified for it.

"Of course," Zara nodded smoothly. "Apparently, I’m one of the only three among all integrated races in our universe to create a Domain while still within the Nascent Realm."

Uhtred sucked in a sharp breath. Despite his attempt to stay composed, he still ended up thoroughly stunned by her words.

One of only three in their entire universe to create a Domain within the Nascent Realm?

It just went to show how absurdly difficult that feat truly was!

But if it’s so difficult, how exactly did Zara achieve it?

The mystique surrounding her origin grew even more in Uhtred’s mind. He was more than curious about her now, and from the faint smirk playing on her lips, she could clearly see that burning curiosity written all over his face.

Uhtred took a few deep, steadying breaths to calm his mind before he finally spoke again:

"Well, damn... Even my chat is going completely crazy right now," he muttered, his eyes momentarily unfocused as he watched the rapidly flickering text flooding his chat window.

Uhtred chuckled softly at that last message. Even he agreed with Agile Battlestar Grandmaster’s assessment. The multiversal viewers watching had initially been in collective shock over witnessing Zara’s Domain with their own eyes, but out of nowhere, the chat had devolved into a mindless back-and-forth between the Veloraian Lord Of The Green Hats and Serial Troll Nyx.

Thankfully, there was still a voice of reason among them. Uhtred watched as the flow of discussion gradually shifted back to Zara and her Domain.

From the outside, it looked as if Uhtred had simply zoned out for a moment, but in truth, he was intentionally tracking the scrolling text, eager to see if any of his multiversal viewers would let some deeper lore slip.

He had already picked up the mention of a "Universe’s Blessed" — a term that felt fairly self-explanatory on its own.

But as the messages continued to scroll past, he saw something else that caught his attention.

One of the viewers, going by the name TheStarTravelingDaoist, pointedly reiterated the fact that what Zara had constructed was a true Domain, not a mere Pseudo-Domain.

The multiversal entities watching replied to the comment in shock — but their shock was much more tame compared to the shock Uhtred felt at reading that same comment.

From their casual reactions, it seemed that this was already common knowledge to all of them right from the onset. However, for Uhtred, it was like a thunderclap had resounded in his mind.

Back in the scenario world, during his fight with the Heavenly Demon, the System had notified him that he had breached the Heavenly Demon’s Pseudo-Domain — which meant it wasn’t a full Domain just yet...

Even an Awakened Realm powerhouse of the Heavenly Demon’s stature had only managed a Pseudo-Domain, yet Zara, a mere Nascent Realm ascender, had already constructed a full Domain?

Uhtred mentally dismissed the chat window from his field of vision and refocused his gaze on Zara, who was studying him with a puzzled expression.

...Is that why I wasn’t able to perceive any difference with my Gnostic Eye until she let me?

"Hellooo? Earth to Uhtred." Zara waved a hand to draw Uhtred’s attention back to the present. "So do you want to learn about Space Magic or not?"

Uhtred shook his thoughts away and quickly shifted into a serious gear, his eyes turning eager.

"Yeah, yeah. I’m here... Let’s learn about space magic..."
